I'll go with No. 1 since no one knows, it's the coolest.

"1. A submarine collided with Carnival cruising ship, both were damaged and sub had to launch a missile to avoid explosion."

I bet were we to see the full video -- all ten minutes -- not many would still be saying it is a jet contrail.

Also, if the "plane" was coming toward him as others are claiming then there would be a point where the "plane" would be close enough to clearly identify.

NOT if it got DARK up there.

Interesting:

From page 25 of the weekly report above, it was also in last week's USGS Marine Safety Bulletin (page 14 of 23). "Pacific Missile Test Range, Point MaguDeparting the IMO approved TSS and transiting south of the Channel Islands may result in delays and diversions, as this transit will take vessels through the Pacific Missile Test Range, Point Mugu, California. The U.S. Navy advises that hazardous operations may take place within the test range. The test range extends for 180 miles in a South West direction from Point Mugu and is up to 210 miles wide."

this is one of the smoking guns,

its coming right at us, yet it is never over us?

the camerman said he had never seen anything like it, why would he look away, if it was coming towards them to create said illusion it would by definition of that theory COME TO THEM.

why no plane pictured, why no plane video

Just to compare and contrast, here's how the Hizballah TV station in Beirut is reporting it -- sounds EXACTLY like some of the ravings around this thread, doesn't it? Soul mates.

Us Test Fires Secret Missile off California Coast
Beirut Al-Manar TV Online in English 0759 GMT 10 Nov 10

www.almanar.com.lb...

The US has launched a missile off Southern California amid concerns that
the country has been secretly developing advanced weapons to increase its
military dominance.

A dramatic image of the launch was captured on video on Monday evening by a
KCBS news helicopter flying over Los Angeles.

Local news stations said the missile appeared to have been launched by a US
Navy vessel. However, the US Navy and the Air Force have not offered an
explanation about the launch.

When contacted by media outlets, Navy officials said they were unaware of a
missile launch in the cited area.

Colonel Dave Lapan, a Pentagon spokesman, said on Tuesday that it did not
appear that the reported event was part of a "regularly scheduled missile test."

Meanwhile, the US Northern Command said it had launched an investigation into
the incident. "At this time, we are unable to provide specific details, but we
are working to determine the exact nature of this event. We can confirm that
there is no indication of any threat to our nation and we will provide more
information as it becomes available," the military command said in a statement.

The report comes as the United States has been making efforts to upgrade its
nuclear arsenal and unconventional weapons.

Meanwhile, the US-led foreign occupation forces in Afghanistan have launched a
massive military operation in the southern province of Kandahar, causing
extensive damage -- especially to civilian property.

It looks that way because of the curvature of the Earth. Look at the green line in this diagram as a constant altitude contrail, it appears to reach the ground but it doesn't.

as i mentioned earlier, that theory only works if the missile is flying TOWARDS you. as we can all see from the video, there are engine flares, meaning it is either climbing or flying AWAY from us.

And here's the view of some old commie fart in Moscow -- again, indistinguishable from some of the views expressed here? Soul mates?

Trident-2 ICBM Unsanctioned Launch Most Likely Theory Behind Incident Off U.S. Coast

MOSCOW. Nov 10 (Interfax-AVN) - What happened yesterday off the coast of southern California could be an unsanctioned missile launch from an Ohio class submarine or tests carried out by a private defense company, said Maj. Gen. Alexander Vladimirov, Vice President of the Collegium of Military Experts.

"Judging from the video footage shown on the CSB television channel, it was a missile launch from a submarine position. Most likely, it was a launch of the Trident-2 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) from the Ohio class submarine," Vladimirov told Interfax on Wednesday.

The Pentagon's comments "give reasons to believe that this was an unsanctioned launch of a missile from a submarine," he said.

"If that is the case, then many questions arise, primarily in regard to the state of the U.S. Armed Forces," the general said.

A similar case occurred in October when the U.S. lost control over 50 ICBMs for a while, he recalled.

"There are also questions for our military who trace such launches and are required to react to such threats. There are questions for Europeans who are planning to create a missile shield against Iranian missiles but could receive a strike from a totally different side," the expert said.

"But most questions in this situation are for the Russian Defense Ministry. What were our missile attack warning systems doing? Is the national missile-defense system capable of adequately responding to such threats? Was the "red line" between our Russian and U.S. supreme leaders employed? Did the U.S. defense minister call his Russian counterpart? There are many questions but no answers yet," the general said.

All missiles on Ohio class missiles are fitted with nuclear warheads, he said. Because they are controlled by a system of codes, a warhead can only be destroyed by detonation, the general said.

The missile launch might have been carried out "by a private defense company," he said.

"Such companies with private ownership effectively work on behalf of the U.S. government in Afghanistan, Iraq and other volatile parts of the world. Today their total potential is comparable to that of Pentagon," the expert said.

The Russian Defense Ministry was not immediately available for comment on the incident involving the launch of an unknown missile off the U.S. coast.

That's interesting, yesterday it was only at elevated. It's definitely up, and if it had anything to do with the cargo planes, it would have been raised a few days ago, not just yesterday.

Plot thickens.

I'm pretty sure that a plane can be filmed at night.
Blinking lights and all. We have not been shown the end of his video, why? That would end the question of which way it was moving. The Pentagon said the object was moving away from land, don't you think they saw the full 10 min.?

Because of the fake ink cartridge bomb threat to commercial aviation?

Very interesting.. Orange alert from NORAD..

To the poster who suggested this was a missle intended for Iran.. Thats not where we'd hit Iran from.. In fact, you couldn't find a location that is Farther from Iran than California. Whatever it is, its being kept hush hush and the airliner excuse is really a stretch.. but people will believe it, they always do.

This was not an actual missile, it was a containment cylinder that Washington and ALL Politicians were using to store all their BS.

The unfortunate part was they implemented the storage unit on 11/7/2010 and it was suppose to hold 10 years worth of BS, but it ruptured after one day.

Don't start Phage, you know very well Fox mentioned that several times yesterday. I was listening to it live. The pentagon said that there was no threat to Americans because the object was moving away from land. I heard it, and my husband heard it.

focus, my friend, on crucial words "ordinary jet"
contrail's parameters depends upon speed, weight, altitude, trajectory & fuel of moving object + weather & light conditions. jet has 2*n engines; jet's contrails make less dense according to distance of taken point from jet, but in the given case most dense was at the furthest points from object. in short, missile

Yes, I guess I have to clarify.

It's real interesting guys, here's some thoughts...

I was on a business trip Monday, left Sunday Nov. 7th at Ontario International.

Came back on Nov. 8th from San Jose International back to Ontario.

Now when I traveled from SoCal to NorthCal on Sunday, I went through baggage check and x-ray and everything just fine. However, when I came back from Northern Cal, at San Jose International, around 4:12 or 4:20pm, I was pulled out of the line for a random search. (When was the first mystery missile found? Oh.. around 5pm or so? Am I right?)

They opened up my luggage and tossed out my shampoo, tooth paste, and body wash oh and also hair gel. They told me that I could not carry over 3.6oz of liquid substance or whatever. So I just told the guy to toss all those away, as I didn't want to check my luggage I wanted to carry it on to the plane. I didn't think much about it, other than the annoying pulled aside for a random search. But as I walk to the boarding gate with my boss, the intercom just keep blasting messages about people not suppose to carry over 3.6oz of liquid substance.

Now they never did broadcast the same message when I was boarding the flight from Ontario to San Jose on Nov. 7th. But somehow the air port security went haywire at San Jose on the Nov. 8th and surprisingly around 4:12 to 4:20pm ... so close to the actual 5pm mystery missile event.

Anyway, at that point in time, on Nov. 8th I got off the airplane around 7:10pm at Ontario, then I drove home and waited for my wife to go to dinner together.

We went to dinner around 9pm or 9:45pm I can't recall exact time, it should be between 9:30pm to 10pm. Anyway, we live in the San Gabriel Valley area, and we both saw something fell out of the sky. It was too bright and big to be a flare, it was falling from the sky. My wife thought it was a meteor or shooting star, but the thing looked like a flare to me but just too big to be one. Anyway, we both laughed and said it was UFO because neither of us could identify what it was. So we kind of joked about it for a bit, then my wife kind of sank in and started to get puzzled because she couldn't figure out just exactly what the hell it was.

Fast forward story to Tuesday morning, Nov. 9th. Went I step into the office and started my usual morning news reading, I discovered the whole missile mystery event.

At first I thought it was the one I saw on Monday night, but later I found it was different it happened around 5 or 6pm. So that doesn't really explain what we've saw around 9pm or 10pm. So I was kind of reaching out to anyone living in the San Gabriel Valley area in SoCal and happened to be on the road around 9 or 10pm and saw this amazing huge falling ... missile or shooting star??

My wife and I's crazy theory has now formed:

U.S. was attacked on Nov. 8th.

*It explains why Navy, Norad, Army Intelligence doesn't know what's going on. First off, for these guys to admit that they don't know what's going on with a mystery missile is already kind of shady. How on Earth we spend like 300 billion dollars a year on defense budget but don't even know who shot a missile at us... Besides, isn't it embarrassing, at the same time kind of disheartening to let the public know that the most powerful nation on Earth has absolutely no idea who just hit us.

*It explains why airport security went a bit hectic when I was at San Jose International around 4:20pm through 6:20pm. Maybe they knew something was going on.. oh say perhaps we were under attack? 0_o just thoughts.

*It also explains my sighting of yet another meteor, flare, shooting star, (another missile perhaps??) around 9:45pm or 10pm in San Gabriel Valley area.

Who knows, we might of intercepted or stopped some country's attack and perhaps our government is keeping quiet or acting like they don't know just to make sure people don't panic?

Isn't Obama in India right now? Didn't he tell the important folks to get out of the country? Hmm... dots connect...

It would help a lot if we find someone else on here that lives in the San Gabriel Valley and was out and about around 9pm or 10pm Monday night, who can confirm for me.

So far, eye witness I have is my wife and my boss from work.

Anyway, interesting stuff.
