We are overlooking another possibility. This came from off the coast, right? All we have to do is compare the news stories, and we have the culprit.

Seems obvious to me.

The MSM and TPTB said that it was a plane. We know that they always tell the truth. So, it was a plane...NOT!!!!! There have also been experts that said it was a missile. I know that I see a missile, but go back to sleep all you sheeple, the government is protecting us....

Well since at the point where the reporter cut off the tape we see those blinking red and green lights, I would say he ended the film at that point because it became obvious to him that it was a plane... I bet the rest of the 10 minutes of film show more blinking lights

It seems the media needs some lessons on how to tell contrails from rocket launches from meteorites at sunset

I've been looking at many rocket launch videos today and the media always goes with the "What is it?" slant

I think it could have been a missile or a plane. However, we have to realize that if it was a foreign military doing this, of course the US govt is not going to admit that to the public. We would have to wait to watch the History Channel 20 years from now when docs are disclosed. LOL.

However, no matter what anyone believes, plane or missile, we should all admit that in actuality, nothing has been proven or is conclusive. So lets try to avoid demeaning others' opinions or stating opinions as irrefutable facts.

FWIW. Don't know how credible that outfit is. A Houston talk radio show host also had some inside sources saying people in the Pentagon are pooping bricks because it was in fact a missile, and not ours.

Ok so we know its one of two things, either china or aliens setting off our missles... there's no one they can say it was a plane, the government would have figured that out while it was happening and calls were flooding in, not days later... for a crude analogy its like telling someone a motorcycle is a boat or something...experts keep saying its a missle, unless you want to believe web bloggers that say its a plane and there were unique atmospheric swamp gas crap going on than we all know its a missle, just not who or where it came from...

This is amazing. They say it was a plane too. I didn't see this, as I was not living in this country at the time. So if this was a plane, why did it take the Pentagon two days to id the newest one as a plane? I'm looking for common sense here but not finding it.

Maybe it just wasn't that important...............seriously, they probably knew right from the start it was, but put somebody out of the broom cupboard on it anyway to keep people happy, after ploughing through all the more important paperwork on his desk, Mr PA guy released a statement.

Well, it took them a very long long time to figure it out, then get the word out what it was eh? The fact here is, there are three types of people here. One camp it will always be a plane, just normal contrails, a lantern, a flare and all kinds of mundane things. The other camp it is always a missle, a spaceship, a secret government project. And people like me who will be stuck in the middle, the only proof I trust is my own firsthand observations :p

Not a missile/rocket/jet aircraft. Witness on CBS said it was football shaped and spinning. My thought, and I'm looking into, if an object is spinning fast enough, will it avoid radar by it's spin factor?, ie not be detected by local Military or NORAD radar?

My thought is this is a much more important taped sighting than most, as, the Pentagon says they don't know what it was and it's not theirs. An omission in it's own. Secondly, contrail is not only produced through a jet or rocket engine's exhaust.
