well its cool your researching missiles, but what if it was not a American made missile? Its signature will be different.. Or a different kinda missile? Rockets dont always brighten up the contrails. Check out a shuttle launch on youtube. Don't get me wrong I am not trying to convince everyone its a missile. Yet I am not buying the its a commercial jet either. For what its worth its a UFO in my opinion until someone can prove to me what it is.
looks allot like a missile or rocket thou to me.

I posted that this earlier this morning but everyone chose to ignore it and instead kept the debate going on whether or not it was a plane or missle...lol
Well if the dates don't match, why is it relevant and why did you even post it?

I guess I am just stupid for not seeing the airplane..

I wouldn't feel stupid about that until somebody can prove which airlines & plane it actually was with radar or transponder tracking.

Although I would have to go with the plane contrail explanation as being the most likely.

Comments don't usually require proof, otherwise this forum would be almost empty.

I suspected one of the better ATS researchers would have found that. In my mind there is more proof of a launch than of jet contrails or even chemtrails. I linked it in another thread also....and still remains un-noticed. Star for you.

anyone know the kinda fuel used in missiles? Would that make contrails look different, then oh say a commercial plane?
Since it seems I am ending up enlightening this thread.. Even thou I didn't really want to.

Just a question to get to the bottom of all of this, but to those using yesterday's apparent footage of a similar contrail left behind at the same time as the day prior, was not that airspace restricted at that time? And if so, does that not lend credence to a possible missile or rocket test? Earlier in the thread (around page 8) was listed this:

NOTAM for LA.

KZLA LOS ANGELES A2832/10 – THE FOLLOWING RESTRICTIONS ARE REQUIRED DUE TO NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER WEAPONS DIVISION ACTIVATION OF W537. IN THE INTEREST OF SAFETY, ALL NON-PARTICIPATING PILOTS ARE ADVISED TO AVOID W537. IFR TRAFFIC UNDER ATC JURISDICTION SHOULD ANTICIPATE CLEARANCE AROUND W537 AND CAE 1176. CAE 1155 WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR OCEANIC TRANSITION. CAE 1316 & CAE 1318 WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR OCEANIC TRANSITION. CAE 1177 WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR OCEANIC TRANSITION. W537 ACTIVE, CAE 1176 CLOSED. SURFACE – FL390, 09 NOV 20:00 2010 UNTIL 10 NOV 01:00 2010. CREATED: 08 NOV 20:52 2010

Is this not the same area as where the original footage was taken? I'd assumed it was ...

I feel you but I do sometimes rely on ATS for data and it seems strange even ATS cannot produce proper data thats all.

It is not a flame, it is sunlight reflected from the aircraft.
Something like this

wait a minute. How can a sunlight reflect that airplane, so far and long trail... I mean it looks almost photoshoped. It looks like someone blurred out the missle and put an airplan there.

09 NOV 20:00 2010 UNTIL 10 NOV 01:00 2010. CREATED: 08 NOV 20:52 2010

The NOTAM was effective on the afternoon of the 9th. The "event" occurred on the afternoon of the 8th.

Area W537 is north the flight path of the aircraft. It is off the coast between Vandenberg and Santa Barbara. The plane passed over Catalina Island.

Look at the altitude range of the keep-out zone.

Surface to 39,000 ft. That's 'Flight Level 3-9-0'.

Missile launch NOTAMS messages specify surface to UNLIMITED.

This is a clue, but you have to interpret it instead of worship it.

US 808 not UA 808

it is NOT US808 either
please see insert diagram.

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/ddd849958139.jpg[/atsimg]

US808 actual flight path makes a slight right turn
approaching the coast.

the missile in the video makes a slight LEFT turn.

That's proof it's NOT US808.

There is also over 120KM distance between
the actual flight path as listed with the FAA
and the actual sighting location.

More proof it's NOT US808.

depends on the missile: some have solid fuel, some 'conventional' fuel. what both kinds of missiles have in common is visible exhaust from launch. contrails from planes are not made until higher altitudes. when you see them in the sky, they seem to appear out of nowhere and streak across the sky. that is because the plane making them finally reached an high enough altitude for the jet engines to interact with colder air. you do not get contrails at low altitudes, like we see in the video. missiles give off exhaust in their launch, which is what we see in the video.

Did you see the videos I posted on the bottom of page 105? Exactly the same appearance.
