NEW DELHI, October 26 (Xinhua) -- The United States will deploy navy warships at the Mumbai port when President Barack Obama visits India in early November, reported local media Tuesday.

Obama and his traveling delegation have booked the entire Taj Mahal hotel in Mumbai for their trip to India, said the reports.

The 2008 Mumbai terror attacks which claimed over 170 lives ended with a siege at the Taj Mahal hotel.

"All the 547 rooms in the iconic hotel have been booked for two days for President Obama's visit to Mumbai in the first week of November as a security measure," the daily Economic Times said quoting sources.

"On top of that, U.S. navy ships will also be deployed, as the president is staying in a hotel by the ocean," The Economic Times said, adding that Obama's delegation is so large that another 300 rooms have reportedly been booked in other luxury Mumbai hotels.

Nice try, first of all, this news has been reported in several newspapers, I even included a chinese newspaper, but hey since you are a liberal I guess you are going to give a break to a Chinese newspaper...

That claim in snopes, is an unsuported claim, even the poster says so himself... He goes along with what the White House claims, but then again the White House doesn't want to give any figures to how much money will be spent in this trip, that tells us something.

This president, Obama, has been shown to love to spend money, in his inauguration more money was spent than to any other presidential inauguration before him even when he, and the White House knew we were in an economic crisis, but like always liberals love to give breaks to their masters no matter what...

This is hilarious!!! After all the comments on ATS, news media and talk show hosts talking about the costs of this trip, it all turned out to be FALSE, reported by an Indian media person. The costs are not even 2% of the estimated costs. They stated that it cost around 5 million dollars per day for the last four Presidents and it is estimated to cost the same for our President. Two-hundred million dollars per day? lol
