I did fight the argument for a few days, but it's getting old refuting the same arguments over and over (it's the sun! Climategate! Lindzen! Monkton! Little Ice Age! We're actually cooling!, etc. etc. etc. etc. )

Skeptics are generally incapable of looking objectively at evidence (or they wouldn't be skeptics would they?) so there is nothing I can say to win them over. Nothing. No papers I could point to, no study of climate scientists, no graphs.....)

You'll get a different answer depending on whom you ask. I am somewhat of a doomer on the subject, but that is only because I have put the pieces of the puzzle together through obsessive research over the last 2 years.

In my opinion, the earth is about to flip to a hot state and multiple positive feedback mechanisms are beginning to kick in that, combined together, will raise global temps by a few degrees in a matter of a months.

There are many feedbacks to consider, but the melting permafrost is the big Kahuna. It is beginning to vent methane at levels not seen for thousands of years and once it starts (it has already started) it cannot be stopped. 1 percent of the methane believed to be stored in the East Siberian Arctic Shelf is enough to raise to global temps to "catastrophic" levels (the researchers words, not mine).

You ask how long? My guess is 2 or 3 years....5 MAX.

Watched the first 2 minutes of the first video, seems he's a whack job who missed alot of school. Spelling, grammar and punctuation poor, choice of music the x-files. Need I say more? Oh but just like someone on here, he spent alot of time researching it so it must be true eh Libby?

How does that prove that this isn't natural. The world isn't the warmest its been since modern man has existed. When it was warmer do you think these same effects were not seen?
