Nice Dodge.

Post the Soviet images of the lunar landers.

I demand it of you.

Your credibility is at stake.
The Soviets would have loved to expose the U.S. if they could. They could NOT, because the Apoollo Moon mission were real.

The USSR/Warsaw pact countries were the US/West rivals during the Cold War. The Soviets were the only other country on the planet at the time with the technology to monitor the Apollo programs progress to and from the moon. Had there been even the slightest BS going on they would have exposed it in a gigantic propaganda blitz to prove to the whole world that Communism and their technology was superior to the US/West.

They couldn't expose the US of BS because they knew we did it....

OP

Thanks for sharing your opinion on the matter. However, here at ATS we like a little meat /facts on the bone...

I know I won the argument because no matter how hard you search you will never find a credible evidence for it. I know since I looked through all the records and couldn't find any evidence of it.

You have yet to provide any evidence that you have done anything more than look at three (unsourced) photos and post childish, yes, childish one liners. At least SarKOY is engaging in some good old fashioned good natured rivalry. Your posts have been the ATS equivalent of saying "I know you are but what am I?" over and over and over again. Please take your trolling elsewhere, it has no amusement value any more.

Look, you guys are just too gullible to see through the tinted glass. You guys take everything NASA throws at you as your Bible and make yourselves its zealots. I am just one of the few Socrates here and I do not accept anything as an absolute truth.

No. what you have done is start a thread based on weak "evidence" and than belittle or name-call anyone that posts rebuttal information... and you refuse to acknowledge any post that anyone has directed towards you on a point to point basis and you continually troll the thread resorting to childish games when you cannot think of a rebuttal.

I find you quite amusing in a sad way, perhaps I'm just bored on this rainy day ..

FIRST, you asked for "transcripts":

Where's the transcript of their conversation in which they mention it?

Nw, in a typical tactic seen (many, many times here on ATS) that is an indication of trolling, you move the goalposts, always playing that taunting, childish game.

Lucy VanPelt in the "Peanuts" cartoon strip did it to Charlie Brown, with the football. Lucy was troll, on the funny pages .....

AND, the most hilarious bit yet?? Comparing yourself to Socrates!!!!

I think THAT quote should go on your tombstone, as a tribute to the level of Internet games that infests a once fine Forum, as ATS.

There is an ago-old adage, repeated by parents all over: "Children should be seen and not heard."

I always hated that expression, but I'm willing to make an exception, here.

No one has yet realized that I was playing the devil's advocate, which doesn't really surprise me. This illustrates how naive people are. They see one bit of evidence and then to bridge the gap they draw all sorts of inferences because they can't accept to not know anything. They can't accept that perhaps everything they know is a lie. No one here can absolutely know whether the moon landing happened or not, but they can't accept that fact.

Playing Devil's Advocate, eh?

Learn your lesson.

If you want to play on ATS, bring your bag of "evidence" and lose your bag of smack.

*By the way, I think you're looking for a way out of this thread - getting your bum spanked hurts a little - but everyone starts somewhere.

Welcome, by the way.

You're absolutely bass-ackwards, "Socrates". (
)

You have just precisely described the Apollo "Hoax Believers" to a T. Except, at the last...they really DO NOT know anything!!!

No one here can absolutely know whether the moon landing happened or not, but they can't accept that fact.

Oh, you think you're playing some "intellectual" game of philosphy, then? I smell a rat. I see a person who came in with bluster, and hasn't the cajones to admit they were wrong, and apologise for being too full of themselves.

I can't say for certain that YOU exist, or not...but THAT is a childish twist on a childish game of "navel-gazing", and is only suitable for the type of examination of OTHER ways that Humans perceive the universe around them. Pissing all over manifest FACTS of achievements is NOT the same as an intellectual discussion about metaphysics.

FAIL!!! "Socrates"....

buddy, to track spacecraft doesn't mean to know its "guts" -- in other words, radar cannot show astronauts are on board or ain't

How's this for a what if.....look through recent posts and look for a thread that has/is getting a lot of mileage, easy Aussie Genius, what is that up to now 4,700 and still climbing, create a thread based on the same premise but with little to no research, images with no reference and throw in a few one sentence posts as a response to naysayers............ voilà, a nice little points machine.

Of course it could just mean some people have not quite grasped the ATS way

Why are you pretending that I said the Russians did not track something during the Apollo missions?

*Even if the communist filth came out and said they didn't track anything and said 'here is the proof', I would say those Russians were lying. They would at the very least need an image of the Empty Landing site.

Thus far you have been unable to provide a Soviet image of the Apollo landers on the lunar surface.

of course, simulation needed to set radio transmitter to the Moon
all conversations of astronauts & control center were through it
but most task of empty spacecraft was to trick radars

I doubt the U.S. would have sent men to the moon. It's simply stupid. The only purpose of Apollo was to improve the U.S. missile capabilities and to make the American public swallow the big military spending associated with it. If they were to lose a man, it would have backfired and the public would have opposed further military spending, which was cleverly disguised as a civilian program spending.

Regardless of whether we actually set foot on the moon or not, this claim is..well, let's just say that Penn & Teller can say it, but I can't type it on the ATS forums without getting a warning from the moderators.

By the time of the Apollo program was announced to the public (and could have been used to 'cover' military expenses) in May of 1961, work on the LGM-30 (better known as the Minuteman ICBM) was effectively over. The original Minuteman test-firings were in February of 1961, and the missile was in squadron service with SAC in 1962. That argues rather loudly that Apollo wasn't a 'cover' for the development of Minuteman.

Also, the technology involved in the Saturn V/Apollo hardware doesn't translate very well into military hardware. Liquid-fueled ICBMs were already being phased out by the time the Saturn V was flight ready for a variety of reasons...solid fuel missiles are less maintenance intensive, more reliable, and, most importantly, can be stored in a launch-ready state and fired in 1-5 minutes, where a liquid-fueled system can take 10-20 minutes to fuel, pressurize, and launch (and a Saturn took over 40 *hours*)....which means your liquid-fueled bird will still be preparing for launch when the incoming nukes land on the silo.

Exactly what portion of the Apollo program do you contend was 'military' in nature? Perhaps I'm simply misunderstanding your contention?

Bull!!!

This has been gone over and squashed years ago...you should catch up with the rest of the HBs.

Like I tell other people, in other threads....GO OUT into the world, and learn. Go to a museum, go to a library, get off your azz and learn.

This OP's flip-flopping, from "questioning" and claiming a Apollo "cover" for military missile development (properly and accurately squashed by Brother Stormhammer, up above), then when cornered, trying to turn it into some existential exercise of "thought experiment", or whatever, is bad enough (and shows the vacancy of the premise, in the first place). Add to it more uneducated drivel?? Take some responsibility for yourself, and improve your comprehension of the sciences, the data, the history and the uncounted mountains of corroborating evidence that simply could NOT have been assembled out of thin air, as some sort of elaborate "hoax". It is too dam complicated.

BTW....adding to BrotherS's comments, I have learned (reading BOOKS) about some history, and the U.S. superiority BEFORE Sputnik was launched. However, it was Top Secret, the fact that we had the capability. The military capability. So, the civilian space program really was, in some aspects, "re-inventing the wheel", so to speak. Developing rocket technology in parallel with the military (still secret, to most people).

Up until Sputnik, Eisenhower was chafing to give the civilian (and public) program a kick start....Sputnik opened the floodgates of American public (and Congress') opinion, and money began to flow. Kennedy took it, and ran with it.......

Do you think that the random capitalization of words in your pro-Apollo arguments lends credence to those arguments or enhances them in some way?

Perhaps if a skeptic were to use such a tactic, the Apollo Believers would pounce on them for it, no?

Like I tell other people, in other threads....GO OUT into the world, and learn. Go to a museum, go to a library, get off your azz and learn.

Also, do you think points such as this also enhance your pro-Apollo arguments in some way?
