This is really creepy and makes me think of the movie terminator or blade runner which proves that movies are not science fiction they are just temporarily science fiction lol. I also had a thought of Cyborg/Android rights parades as well. Who knows these robots may be the avatars like in the movie and people will control them with their minds like surrogates. I definitely watch too many movies...

A beneficial achievement to symbolize that our race is pushing forward technologically but a marvel such as this, I find it unsettling. As for technology as such being beneficial, could this be used for public service or become involved with black budget programs and five star generals whose intentions are to play god and replace nearly an entire military with machines that can think, learn, and take orders to fight their own wars? Absolutely yes. I have no doubt about it that androids and a learning A.I. might in time merge, raising the risk bar one step closer to self destruction. It's an inevitable event waiting to happen decades to come, introducing us to "The Race For The Perfect Killing Machine". Learns, thinks, kills, obeys, and best of all, effectively without the emotional and traumatic anchor that follows. Is there an army in the world that doesn't want that? Then again, i do not state that it will happen, i state that the probability is high.

In my honest opinion, technology comes with responsibility and I have yet to spot a single iota of responsibility, referring to history on up to date. So at least some of us have a reason to "Fear the Future" since barbarians still to this day remain seated at the round table of power.

I wont proceed any further.

What if one of the androids with AI decides to bite off some guys tongue or dick? Or if they have super vagina and decide to squeeze your dick till it implodes. I'd be scared to put my dick anywhere near one of the androids synthetic holes.

Again: those displayed in the majority of the clips are not new- The being Jules were among the first- years ago.

That said, It is only a matter of time before real Androids like Jude Law's character in the movie A.I. is actually made(Although I suspect they already may be).

And why are so many people so scared of this? Sure, I could understand some bits of the psychological reasons, as it is something new, and something that confronts peoples intrigrity, so to speak. But really, what would be so bad with Androids running around, integrated in Society? I doubt they in the end would be any worse than Humans.

Come on; Imagine a character such as Jude Law's in the mentioned movie; I mean, imagine a guy that is actually created to be the perfect Man.

The only problem could potentially be the sexual topics. I mean, what if the "guy" flip and then- in the middle of a passionate wonderful act- just "locks" and goes on and on and on, with the partner below in an iron-grip.

Could fastly turn into a HELP-CallthePoliceandFiremen-situation.

Next up... DNA based synthetic life forms. I personally can't wait until some mad scientist creates a synthetic life form with a fully activated third eye and an insanely large chakra energy tranmission weapons medium. DBZ here we come.

I would think we have already done it. The idea is in the montauk books, and i think the experiments wrote about have infact taken place, whether at montauk or not.

That stuff is here already.

They already connect people to computers stealing there energy and transmitting it out like in that book, and similar to what you just wrote.

Sexual energy is very important to it too.

I tell you what i think this sort of thing will bring.

One day your computer at home will be able to hold a verbal converstaion with you on any topic. The computer will just get all its info from teh internet, liberies etc on teh net and you can chat to your pc, and you can have a chat about anything and the computer would have access to the world knowledge, and be able to assimulate that and converse to you about it in a verbal conversation.

Now that is what i want like yesterday. I am sure it will come, but may be too late for my life, but if it does come in my life i would be happy.

I would love to have that, sort of like star trek computers where they can talk on anything. Hey it will come, and i assume talking computers do exist, but when in the world we see, i.e walmart and tescos, lol.

Wow this is creepy as heck. I'd hate to be in a hospital and one of these "creatures" comes in and takes my B/P or gives me medication. I wonder if they could be held liable if they screwed up? It is something to think about. Mankind is trying ever harder these days to re-create himself or herself. UCK!

It's amazing really. In a world which is over populated and we can't feed everyone, that we want to create more (robotic) people.

That said, once they get these things on a market, I'd love one of these to do the housework, walk the dog, etc. Not sure the missus would want an anatomically complete robot in the house!

It's in the eyes.

And those are some dead, dead, eyes. No life in those eyes whatsoever.

Kiiiiiiiiillll Theeeemmmm!

Thats very cool OP. We're finally getting very close to the uncanny valley.

Trust Japan to be in the forefront of this field. This is going to sell faster than the iphone and ipad over there. Millions of repressed lonely Japanese bachelors will have no reason whatsoever to leave their tiny apartments now. Its one sure way to reduce the birth rate, gimme one and I promise not to have any kids!

To all the women out there creeped out by the idea of lonely men having such an item, just look in your knicker drawer! You lot have been using fallic robots for a hundred years. We don't objectify sex as much as you do, a vibrating tube doesn't get us off. We'd rather our sex toys were breathing, or at the very least we need our sex toys to resemble human beings. Hang on just let me get my sun block on before you all burn me with your flames!

Not sure on that one (Or anything else, for that matter:lol
.

It's difficult to tell which came first, the movie (Chicken?), or the technology (Egg?).
We've had 1984 with the cameras and surveillance, Brave new world with it's various controlling technologies, Flat screen monitors on Thunderbirds and Star Trek, along with the communication devices and droids, talking computers........, And the list goes on.
All of which we have now.
What will be next?
Teleporters, personal stargates, and a host of at present, unimaginable toys and devices to entertain our increasingly fickle minds?
Then there's the 'alien' technology thing, of which so much has already been written, I couldn't even hope to add to it anything of any significance.

Anyway, I don't want to hijack this thread with my ramblings................

Star and flag to the OP. Uncanny!

Not sure if anyone else noticed this but the bit that had me ROFL was right at the end where there's a loud screeching sound and she throws a perfect 'WTF' look!!!
