Uh huh?
A time shift.
Do we really need to embellish this goofy thread ?
Yeah, I think I saw dead celebrities in one time version of the film.
And a map of New Zealand in yet another time version.
Good God. Television has rotted peoples minds!

The angle of the knuckles as it grips whatever is in the hand indicates that the object has angled edges and not rounded like an earphone.

This seems so obvious that it is a cellphone it blows my mind.

I would say its not a cellphone either. In the time period she is in, even if she were a time traveler, there are no cellphones, let alone towers, to allow her to talk to anyone, or even get a signal.

Communication device - Probably yes
Cellphone - no

Nice kooky fun-filled thread!

I think it's just a coincidence that this person appears to behave in a manner that we now see as indicating she or he is using a cellphone. It might be as simple a think that they have and ear ache or tooth ache and are holding a small compress to their face.

Of course if is really a guy in drag and they noticed the camera then he might be trying to hide his identity or his five O'clock shadow!

Nice that it went viral. I look at it this way...even it was a "hearing aid" of the time, who's to say that the tech that we see from then now, wasn't inspired by a "time traveler" with a communication device. Once our time stream is altered...how would we know?

Not trying to beat a dead horse here but i was just looking at something interesting. Martin cooper the man whom is the c.e.o of motorola and the inventer of the cell phone was born in 1928. He kinda looks like this person in said video.

Hey Russ

I agree, they do look a lot alike, especially if you take a few years off of Cooper. Here's my when ifs:

When if Motorola as a defense contractor developed a form of time travel;

When if Cooper, the CEO and inventor of the original cellphone decided to prove to the gov that Motorola had done it, they had invented time travel. How would he prove it? How 'bout Cooper once again prove his discovery on the street, on a cell phone once again, pretty much recreating his up to that point greatest moment with another great invention?

He would have to prove it with film this time instead of just voice. Where better to guarantee that a film would be archived and maintained than Hollywood, especially a Chaplin premiere. I wonder who he was on the phone with? Lol, that's it for my when ifs,

STM

QUICK QUESTION OR SUGGESTION.

Maybe there is a clue here....DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY OTHER CHARLIE CHAPLIN FILMS?
PERHAPS, IF THEY ARE DVD's, ANYONE WILLING TO DIG?...I for one don't have one or know much about the man. However this is interesting with the times that we are in...

Per Wiki Charlie Chaplin Political Views

Chaplin's political sympathies always lay with the left. His silent films made prior to the Great Depression typically did not contain overt political themes or messages, apart from the Tramp's plight in poverty and his run-ins with the law, but his 1930s films were more openly political. Modern Times depicts workers and poor people in dismal conditions. The final dramatic speech in The Great Dictator, which was critical of following patriotic nationalism without question, and his vocal public support for the opening of a second European front in 1942 to assist the Soviet Union in the Second World War were controversial.

Final Speech in "The Great Dictator"

Pretty powerful

I wanted to quote myself so that more people can maybe see along these lines...
I still find that if this is a time traveler, it is a clue to dig deeper..perhaps into another CC film? Ideas?

Cigarettes I agree.
Cool tattoos will always be cool, and lame tattoos will forever be lame.

One of the reasons conspiracy sites are gaining in popularity is likely the direct result of the MSM reporting more frequently on UFO topics & such. People are looking for more info about it on the net and I'm sure ATS is one of the top-dawgs in the search engine.

Wow im totally stumped by this,
Heres what's on my mind,
It does seem weird to me that if this is a time traveller that they were clever enough to dress in the right clothing but they walk in front of the camera with a mobile phone in there hand, i quite like the idea of a time slip.
The man in front is also weird, whether its in the right tv size or not his face is still scaly with little/no ear.
I think it would be great if someone saw this video and recognised the woman/man, maybe a relative?
I guess that if that person could confirm if the lady/man in the film was deaf/hard of hearing or not could help with the hearing device.
I guess unless this comes out officially as a fake video then none of us will ever learn the truth.
Amazing find though OP, this really has fascinated me

Maybe it's Bernard the time traveller.

Why not, it's far more exciting than it being a hearing aid.

I would never dare suggest no such thing as time travel, I would never dare suggest no such thing as time travel. Sorry just been there and back, just been there and back.......

Re; the woman talking back to a hearing aid or radio, although it sounds ridiculous, when I was a kid, I had an aunt, (old school) who regularly talked back at the radio or tv in the house! so not unheard of.

Most likely explanation.

Poor Bernard, stuck in a confused state. Almost 150 years in the future and doesnt think his wages are that great.
he should have clicked his heels 3 times saying , Theres no place like home.

O.k, On a serious note. Will this thread ever end? There is no way of ever telling whats in the persons hand. I have already shown an example a few post's back that the feet issue Is not an issue anymore. Just look at the link i posted.

Its been fun, its been real. Exiting This topic for ever. Peace everyone and godspeed.

My vote now is either with a ear/tooth ache, or a wrist communications device.

I think if I was able to time travel, I would likely have a smaller phone than that. Heck, my iphone is smaller.

And it would probably be "safer" for the time lines and not to be lynched to have something like a bluetooth in-ear mic/earpiece. Can almost get them that small now. Hide the comm unit in your clothing.

I remember using a laptop in a hotel lobby in Monterrey back before anyone had seen one, it caused a big ruckus and we had to leave to get anything done, and that was mid 80s in a technologically advanced community. I can't imagine the reactions you'd get in 1928 walking around talking to a box.

I think she's walking along, holding something up to the side of her face-----a cold pack or something similiar. She's a little nutsy, and as she's walking, she's talking to herself. Cold packs (the kind you put in the freezer and use to reduce swelling or pain) can come in that size.

What's interesting is that her actions mimick exactly the way people look while taking on their cells and walking---and it seems extraordinary to us because....we must have invented that pose, right?

But not neccessarily! People have walked along in a serious manner long before cell phones came along! And if you add that with someone talking to themselves and holding the side of their face, it's easy to interpret this as a cell phone user.

But it doesn't add up.

I'm thinking this just coincidentally looks like someone is using a cell phone and we're mistaking it for the modern explanation......
