Anyone in particular you accusing that of or you just throw around accusations for the heck of it.

Guys I think I know this one. It's not a LED kite, it's not a LED balloon. It's the TR-3B. Well, it does look exactly like it. TR-3B is an experimental top-secret american air (space?) craft. It is said it has been back engineered from UFOs collected after crashes. It can go up to mac10, and uses a kind of field that neutralizes gravity up to 89% (or so it was in the late 80's). You can look it up on Google, it does really look like it.

That's my thought, though I don't reject UFO, kite, or balloon. But for me, there's no way it can be something else than the TR-3B, or any of its variations (TR-3C, TR-3BB...)

Im hoping the gentleman who filmed this joins the conversation today...I sent him an email w/ directions of how to join and havent gotten a reply yet. I'll be sure to keep you guys updated!

An example of attachable led lights designed for kites... turn down your speakers if you don't want metal music blasting.



Here's a clip of a led kite flying, note it's powered by a motor and lasts about 20 minutes in the air.



Lastly, here's led enabled kite but notice you can see the "kite" too - it looks like it could be a triangular craft


My verdict: A kite with lights on it but not powered by a motor, instead blowing in the wind, that's why it lasted 4 hours in the sky.

Question for the gentleman who filmed this: Was it windy that night?

This looks like big black delta, I think on this triangular government aircraft. The lights as I have witnessed were stationary green light at front 2 red stationary lights on the tips and a red flashing light in the middle on the back. I am guessign they can change the light paterns and colors on the bottom of the aircraft to different colors. What I saw was low to the ground very large and it was almost noiseless it seemed like it just had a bit of a humming to it... It looks like it was floating over me. But the lights were as described. I think they can turn the lights off so say they are going into a war zone you cant detect spot hear or radar it. I think for sure it was big black delta but my camera phone camcorder sucks balls =(. What do you think?

The movement of the object is highly suspicious. The way it seems to be blowing from side to side would suggest it's light, reacting to the breeze and, I'd suggest, it's tethered to the house beneath it in the video. Some kind of balloon with lights attached I'd imagine. A hoax, but a good effort.

Two seperate events. I still maintain the first one is a balloon with lights on it, tethered to the house. Second 'UFO' could literally be anything, given it's distance from the camera. More balloons, RC aircraft, you name it. Aliens seem a less likely explanation to me.

No one suggested aliens in this thread! The guy in the video did out of excitment, but no one here said that. I think it is a less likely explanation as well. We do have the opportunity to hopefully talk to the guy who filmed this and hopefully see the rest of the footage, maybe we'll even get more witness' to join our convo, maybe we should wait to draw conclusions until then..

Saturday October 16th - The story begins at Sticky Rice…. it usually does. A loud 'Yo you've got to see this #' gathered confusion and the congregation quickly loomed as all eyes were to the skies late Saturday.

Some saw the craft in the sky as triangular and others thought spherical. One
thing is for certain… it had 3 lights. The object obviously reappeared as the first clip of this video occurred at 2:30AM.

Sunday night there was a new craft. The very bright light danced erratically across the sky. This time, however, we captured the fire in the sky with an HD camera.

UPDATE: The craft came much closer. Reportedly it came within 1000 feet before
speeding off out of sight.

Side note, how do you find past weather reports? I'm looking for weather conditions in Richmond, VA, for October 16 & 17 (the two nights this event was observed), but everything is updated with today's date.

EDIT TO ADD: The guy filming with the HD camera straight up says he can't keep it focused on his camera, and that's why "all UFOs seen on video camera suck." Just thought that was funny and so true.

I asked the same question just the other day. I couldnt find any website that provided past weather etc...Im going to try to hopefully find some kind of internet weather almanac and hope the information is there. Thanks for your post and hopefully the guy who filmed this joins our convo soon.

If this isn't a fake, I don't know what else it could be... not a balloon, nor a airplane, nor a skydiver (the recent explanation for UFO's)... very many sightings recently...

I have a pretty decent camera, cost me 400 bucks at the time I bought it. The only thing I have been able to take a picture or video of in the night sky is the moon, and being a lover of meteor showers and stars, I have tried many times. Last night, there was a huge halo around the moon, it looked awesome! Took over 100 pictures, none of them captured the halo

Yes it does seem interesting to me that there are so many UFO sightings of late... The funny thing is I saw on google news about the new york sighting and it made me wonder what the sun is doing, and I found that the sun has finally started another sun spot cycle, and not just started... but jumped to 45 sun spots then to 60 the next time I checked, so the sun just starting up its cycle is already more then a quarter of the way to the most sun spots ever recorded on the sun (something like 211). To get to my point, I watched a lecture by a man named Nassim Haramein where he talked about his TOE (theory of everything) which really was everything.... and in the second part (each one 4 hours) at about 1:19:00 he started talking about how he believes UFOs traverse across our galaxy according to his theory. it is quite interesting and I suggest it to anyone. hey guys, its me Allan (playdrumsalot). I originally saw and shot the video and will tell you this thing was unlike anything ive ever seen. Let me just make this clear, it was not a kite or a balloon. thats just nonsense. It was clearly something flying bc I saw it in person. feel free to email me at [email protected] Please do me a favor and post the video everywhere so we can get an explanation to this. The only movement I was able to see was the same pattern of motion bobbing back and forth. Did this thing demonstrate an ability move in other capacities?

I am a northern Virginian native who briefly resided in Richmond so this is extremely intriguing

Also what in your opinion ruled it out from being a kite/balloon...? Was there structure evident that appeared to be space craft-like that did not translate well to the video?

1- I dont know of anyone who filmed this particular object. I have yet to come across any similar footage of the UFO I saw.
2- The only shape I could see was the triangular light pattern.
3- The object made absolutely no noise.
4- I would say the object was the same distance a police helicopter would fly. It is the same as if I were to hold a dime out in front of me with my arms fully extended.
5- There were not any planes or aircraft in the sky while I saw this object. It was up for several hours.
6- That night I had company from out of town. I told them I was going on the porch for a cigarette. I noticed the UFO, then went back inside to get them. We stared at it for quite some time. I then filmed the object in the location you see in the video. This thing eventually made it to the other side of my house. It was indeed way too high and lengthy in time to be a motorized kite. It wasn't close to the trees like it seemed. Cars stopped in the middle of the road to look at it. Tons of people were following it from downtown to where I live. People were very shocked and everyone was reacting in an unexplainable way. People from all over were talking like we had known each other for a long time and everyone got a weird vibe from the flying object.
