Triangle UFO over Virginia October 17th 2010

What is going on? There have been a large amount of sightings and this sighting is already getting notoriety. The odd movements, shape, and light patterns is what gets me. Im trying to find more footage, but heres the best I could do so far...

Is this another kite LED or airplane LED? Im sure this would have been up on ATS very soon.. Im trying to find the uploaders to engage in conversation as well... Let me know what you think

yea that clip looks pretty cool, could be a ufo who knows.

So it hovered for "hours" and was seen by "dozens' of people and yet only ONE of them was impressed enough to take a video? Remember, this is 2010 where just about everyone walks around with a camcorder built into their phone. So where are the other videos??

Even though most everyone has a camcorder in their phone or even a camera in their phone...have you ever taken a picture or video with an object in the sky? It doesn't really come out too clearly. My regular camera had a hard time catching an Apache helicopter in broad daylight. Everyone has a camera but not everyone has a good camera/camcorder. Even though we only have one clip from a witness, it is still amazing. I can't see the clips you provided here on my phone I will try to check them out later. Like you asked, I wonder what is up with all the sightings recently? It seems as though there are a ton of them popping up everywhere. Or at least in more places than before?

Sorry...can't edit my last post to add this from my phone, but I thought it might be noteworthy to add on that same day my girlfriend and I saw a triangular/pizza slice shaped UFO in SW PA...I wonder if it could be the same thing?

Well keep an eye out! If there is any way you can capture anything on camera let us know! maybe we could do a litle side by side comparison of the footage..

Not on youtube. Some people don't like being ridiculed for even stepping outside of the box society has created for their minds to remain trapped within.
Yes, some people just record the things and never post them. It's not so hard to believe that some people are frightened to do so.

Well since I've never taken a video of the sky at night I don't really know, but now that I think of it you are probably right. They really aren't the best quality...I mean relative to 'actual' camcorders a la Bestbuy.

And you are correct, everyday since the massive 13th sightings (of balloons), their have been several videos per DAY posted on here.

I'm a new member too, so it seems I picked a good time to join!

For whatever reason, the site RVAMAG has extended local Richmond video footage (contains the original youtube playdrumsalot user's footage plus additional footage shot by the magazine presumably that I did not see elsewhere on the net) although it is hard to discern what exactly is going on.

The object's limited pattern of motion is suspect to me personally--although I am glad this was reported. This is my first post here and I am super excited by all the press UFOs have received lately.

It moves like a kite with an LED strobe light on it, in my opinion. It has very limited range of movement.

That is the same exact shape and light formation I saw in 2004. Except what I saw was much much more larger than it appeared in that video.

I never would have even noticed it if it had not been pointed out to me. It made no noise and was directly overhead (how many people walk around looking up?).

My first thought was it had to be some kind of a glider ... except it was HUUUUUGE!

not everyone has or can afford the plan of a camera phone iether. not everyone is as crazy as we all are about ufos and things like that. instead of asking on here why dont you ask your perverbial neighbors first.

Agreed. The way it kind of bobs back and forth is typical for a kite. But if somebody wants to believe that it's an alien spaceship from Lacaille 9352, they're certainly welcome to.

its already being labelled as led light balloons ....

you know .. friend of a friend told me there was a celebration over there ...

If anyone has quesitons for the guy who filmed this please get them ready. Im not sure if he'll be on tonite or in the morning, but there isnt a better way to guage the situation and what it possibly was besides talking to someone who was there...Hope this helps!!!

My questions:

1) Some of the buzz on this film is that your video shows balloons tied together with LED lights attached. Your video does not show a "craft" but all that can be made out is the three lights. Were you able to see a craft?
- were there any other witnesses that can verify if a craft was seen?

2) Did anyone else stop and view this in the 4 hours it hovered there?

3) Some folks are claiming this was a kite - in your opinion, could it have been a kite?

This is obviously venus. Or a skydiver

On a more serious note, nice find. I'm curious to see if anyone can debunk this one. I know I can't think of anything it could be.
