Most epic April fools prank ever.

My guess is : Wikileaks is holding some stuff that could be very "toxic" in public hands. And they know that if they release it ,They lose the only bargaining chip left to keep them outta jail for disclosing TS-information.

Thats my thought on the hold. I guess he's been looking for a safe haven after Sweden didn't want him there

Your adamant defense of our Federal Government's defense industry betrays your true allegiance

This statement sums it up for me

It is not some foreign dude's duty to clean up my countries military or defense agencies. In fact, I see that as an act of violence on each and every one of us.

You have become a victim of the Federal Government's propaganda
NO
The Federal Government is not OUR COUNTRY

They are a proxy government "masquerading"
as our country
Mr Mask

This country has been in a trust for the international banksters since 1933
When the good ole US of A was declared bankrupt

While wikileaks could be controlled opposition
I doubt it
I too understand the reference to The Business Plot
But that was a deflection to draw attention away from the fact
that the takeover happened
in 1913

We have been living under martial law since 1868 with the introduction of the reconstruction acts
Your worst fears are ALREADY realized

Wake up to the truth people

Only one thing is crystal clear.
Mr. Mask's support of the Pentagon/military/industrial war complex is unequivocal.

He will vigorously attack and attempt to undermine anything that poses a potential threat to that operation -- a clear bias that makes anything he says questionable.

This whole thread reminds me of Republican versus Democrat Arguments (won't call them debates because they're not even really on different sides they just pretend to be and get people in the streets divided)

Assange supporters seem to feel that if someone is not FOR ASSANGE than they are FOR THE GOVERNMENT

I am with Mask in being HIGHLY SKEPTICAL of the whole scenario and especially ASSANGE especially after learning that gem about his hacking conviction in Australia and the 2100 dollar fine and essentially time served!!
There is just too many red flags here.
At the same time I am not on the governments side either... as has been pointed out time and again we know they are dirty tricks fans and are doing things we need to know about.... BUT this whole thing feels like a big sleight of hand... What are we missing while we focus in on this?

That's like saying since I rabidly disagree with democratic policy that I am a republican!! (NOT A REPUBLICAN)

It's interesting how mask is also being accused of some sort of motive on the basis of his posts being comprehensive and larger than the posts attacking his...

This falls into the paradigm I see every day of the general public being conditioned to Sneer at smart people that try to explain things to them.

Having a virulent strain of anti technology anti education sentiments among the American population could be our undoing.

I too noticed the decline of the thread this morning. But it seems that things have calmed and the interested members can start speculating and investigating again instead of having to read through the diatribes.

The notion that wikileaks is a shill in order to spread government dis-information isn't logical as much of the leaked information has brought attention and pressure to TPTB namely the U.S. The information has increased the troop numbers of those fighting to keep the internet free. Manning has a great deal of support...making him a hero of a free society. The present action against wikileaks has drawn the eyes of the world just in time to watch the administration outlaw encrypted internet content....they were silently going for this long before Assange came along. If anything I see this matter as a catalyst for greater dissent.

HA!

Nevermind the 5 times I said in this thread that the government is guilty of crimes most horrible.

Nevermind I've been open on ATS for my entire stay on saying the war is a hoax and that the people of this country are being fooled by a corrupt element within our government.

But yeah...your statement MUST BE TRUE since I don't trust the mainstream story on Assange and his magic untouchable site.

Anyways, I've said why I "suspect" what I do.

And I've made it clear...IF THERE IS GARBAGE TO CLEAN UP ON AMERICAN SOIL, US AMERICANS WILL HANDLE IT...we don't need no foreign criminal attempting to do it himself.

Get your facts right buddy...or just get a clue before you post such nonsense.

I'm sorry but when someone comes out with classified information, the gov usually won't do anything because they don't want to legitimize it.

People have written books divulging top secret information before, (one in particular), and the gov just lets it go.

The only time the gov. will get involved is if the information is so sensitive that it will threaten their legitimacy or render them less powerful and then they will do anything in their power to keep it from getting out, or they will work a disinfo campaign to discredit the info if it is already out there.

I have personally never been to wikileaks, especially considering that I have been warned that going there would be a security violation and I'm not willing to lose my clearance, but you're argument as to why not to believe him actually gives him more credence.

Especailly considering that the DOD has come right out and stated that going to his site would be a security violation.

They have to be afraid that he has some REALLY damaging information to have done that.

While I'm not jumping to any conclusions yet and it could be a promotional campaign for wikileaks, Nothing you've stated would lead me to believe that wikileaks is NOT exactly what it has been stated to be.

In a previous post, you stated Assange stole "secrets", yet he hasnt stolen anything. Killing the messenger has never been a good idea.

Now, whether Assange is CIA, or another agency, or he is 100% legit, honestly goes a long way in discussing this.

Hey Mask,

I was going to stay out of this whole Wikileak situation (and I will!!). I just saw an opportunity to make a smart-ass remark and I will. (mind you, I have not read this entire thread and I believe you are getting some heat for expressing your opinion. S*cks when that happens. Good luck.
)

Anyway,

IF THERE IS GARBAGE TO CLEAN UP ON AMERICAN SOIL, US AMERICANS WILL HANDLE IT

...When??

Just stopping by to openly say, once again, as I do in every wikileaks thread-

I'm not buying this cloak-n-dagger BS for one second.

If you feel safe trusting in the story of "some super hacker" with "no place of real residence" traveling country to country while operating out of a backpack- all the while dodging the CIA and Interpol successfully- well I guess you have your reasons...

As for me, I think this is all a project and have seen wikileaks provide nothing groundbreaking.

The guy does nothing but back up the original story of Osama B and his evil shadow clan of super terrorists, all the while appearing in one live interview after the next, unmolested and unattested.

Yeah sorry...The guy don't seem real to me...and it shocks me that so many people on here are willing to trust the government is "clever/stupid" enough to fabricate 911- but thinks Mr Julian Assange CAN'T be a government operated trap and/or disinfo.

Go figure...

PS- Mr Assange...prove me wrong or just go away.

I agree. This whole thing is very reminiscent of my time as a teenager, when I thought I could sneak around and get away with stuff without my parents finding out. Turned out they weren't as stupid as I thought. Perhaps the govt is not as "out of touch" as we'd like to believe.....

My instincts regarding wikileaks, tell me to stay away. ( and thats not being paranoid!)

Let's think for a moment of the American Revolution...

Just imagine if the Red Coats (in hindsight) had devised a way to gather all of the patriot dissenters, by throwing out a piece of British intelligence as a sign of faith, only to identify and monitor the patriots (who had to meet in secret), until the time was right to round them all up? Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

Lets stop presuming the US Govt is incapable of stopping this thing if they really wanted to.

Just my two cents.

No offense to my UK brothers

Assange isn't considered a terrorist yet. What if he was trying to make a deal with our government? Maybe its not government vs. assesnge or assange vs. government but maybe a join coalition?
If the government "never" gives in to terrorist then why the hell would some of the people at top say presidents would set up peace deals with middle eastern terrorist countries??? They keep making deals that Isreal don't like and Isreal won that land in war and some people in our government are willing to give pieces of their land to terrorist, or atleast people that want to kill zionist..... IMHO They try to please some terrorist for peace but we know they have been fighting I think thousands of years right? Some big shot is going to come in and think he's going to talk sense into them lol!!!!!
