Shouldn't we be using Psychic Technology to do warfare with communications instead?

I think it would be prudent.

Fascinating discussions in this thread!

Can we extrapolate from this a bit?

IF we were to go with the idea that WL is a CIA op.. What might that suggest about the "insurance"?

Do we have any blown covers that might shed some light on what the CIA might have up it's sleeve on this one?

Edit -

DHS has stated that the military has the authority to monitor and intervene in cyber attacks taking place within the US. If the Pentagon is speculating that WL could be a CIA op and this op is violating the military structure to achieve it's goals, could this lead military intel to engage in counter operations against the CIA?

If this takes place or is already taking place, would this be considered a coup attempt?

I am saddened to see that you will only believe conspiracy theorists.
Assange is not a conspiracy theorist, however he has the will to reveal the truth others can't.
It's not because he doesn't believe in your version of 9/11 events that he must be discredited.
Talk about throwing the baby with the bath water!

You may not trust his motives but so far he has only shared truths we can all use.

Huh? A single-layer DVD is 4.7 GB, not 1.4 GB.

ACK! You're absolutely right. I have no idea what I was thinking when I posted that. Major synapse misfire...almost like forgetting my own phone number or something for crying out loud...

Thanks for pointing it out.

WE CAN TRY!!! Lets do it!

IF we were to go with the idea that WL is a CIA op.. What might that suggest about the "insurance"?

Dunno...really. If it IS a CIA trap, I "suggest the possibility" that the actual files are not where the "important part is".

Kinda like when the FBI sets up a drug sting by posing as drug dealers...you wouldn't say "I wonder what quality the drugs are or where they came from"...the operation would be more concerned with "who showed up to buy them".

IF (read that clearly, some are not) WL is CIA, then it would be my guess that the operation has to do with a few things.

a) Finding leakers and whistleblowers.
b) Exposing system weaknesses.
c) Scaring the crap out of certain countries.
d) covering something too clever for me to deduce (wouldn't be that hard really).
e) Reinforcing certain details of our wars that may be false by adding said lies to these documents.

But I am speculating...like I said, the guy and his group MAY be legit...if so, Assange should be seen as an enemy to our country not some hero.

Ok Jim now that were back in the middle east it's time to address the next big threat to the elites

What's that Joe...

This internet, Rockafeller said it right that it should never have gone mainstream, we need to stop this information flow. It is becoming a beacon of light to all the people in the dark. Well Joe, we are the illuminated ones, they can not seek such information.

How about make some sort of website that appeals to these truth seekers, we'll make it appeal to the masses, like name it something like iTruth or troogle

I got it Joe!, we will call it wikileaks and release "sensitive" information that will make the government look incompetetent thus giving us a platform to push these cyber bills through congress!!!

You are a god dang Genius Jim! Just like the Patriot Act, man we are getting good

Yes Joe, it is imperative that the media gets ahold of this and really pushes the "vulnerability" card, well get some quotes saying our troops are now endangered and so on

omg

I consider myself reasonable and anyone who believes ALL one way or ALL the other unreasonable.

This discussion was going great. I often thought people who kept claiming 'plants' and operatives were a bit whacky but this discussion is far derailed that It almost screams that its being derailed on purpose.

anyway I digress.

Assumedly many people now have the 'insurance'. Its encrypted but isnt that crackable by hackers?

This link appears to be working: (but is it up to date?)

Finally arent these the docs that were released??

Firstly, as a few others have stated, you do NOT go about putting virus within a 1.4 gb file in the hope that it will spread far and wide. The impact worldwide of a virus attached to a file this size being downloaded by really not that many people would be almost non existent.

It's so obvious to anyone that knows anything about virus and the methods they are distributed, that it's almost painful to explain why it's not a virus here.

Secondly i'm pretty disappointed that people on ATS can so easily be turned against the closest thing we have to a super hero. I mean his acts so far represent the very heart of ATS.
But no, you're all swayed by a few eloquent words from mr mask which do contain some good opinions but can not really be put up against the ACTIONS of Mr Assange.

Actions speak louder than words.

A few comics vs putting your wellbeing on the line? Which actions speak louder?
Whilst I don't have 100% faith in Assange, I find it kind of insulting and depressing that people would turn on him despite him practically being the embodiment of our ideals here at ats.

Oh really? Where do you see that? Are you blind or have hallucinations? Becuase I have been OVERLY CLEAR AND CAREFUL to say why I think what I do...

It is not becuase some tin-foil hat guy slipped me a paper bag on the train with a note that said "shhhh Assange is an alien".

The Pentagon...asian intelligence agencies, AND THE CO-FOUNDER of wikileaks have all arrived at the same conclusion I suspect to be true...along with many voices within the political circles of our country and others...

Does it sound like I'm trusting in "just some conspiracy theorist's words"?

Assange is not a conspiracy theorist,

Terrorist...more so...

however he has the will to reveal the truth others can't.

The truth eh? Like Osama B was the soul power and mind behind 911? Yeah, Assange is all about the truth.

It's not because he doesn't believe in your version of 9/11 events that he must be discredited.

First off- "what are my beliefs on 911?"...I am positive I have never made those clear on this site or any other public avenue...

Secondly...again...I have told you plainly, I base my ideas and views on two factors-

1) The pentagon, the co-founder of wikileaks and China's intel agencies have all openly spoken about wikileaks looking to be CIa/Mossad...My views on this would be the same even if he released documents saying "911 was an inside job" or anything else you can think up in your haste to make a point here.

2) There are many holes in this wikileak's story that I have pointed to. Money laundering, political grabs at the head chair of the world-bank, financial and personal connections to google (published recently in the WashingtonPost to be a CIA project), the fact that their first big whistlblower ended up in prison even though the site promises you will be safe...the list goes on and on actually...

I find it funny that there is so much info on this readily available to anyone with a search engine- enough info to convince the Pentagon of "suspecting" it to be CIA, enough to convince China's Intel and enough to cause the co-founder t dispatch himself from the entire project and then warn the world...yet...so many "conspiracy theorists" are shaking their noses and saying "IMPOSSIBLE! JULIAN IS MY FRIEND! HE WOULDN'T EVER DO THAT TO ME!"

Based on what?

Yeah...

Talk about throwing the baby with the bath water!

Its better then holding the sleeping baby under the water until its dies from lack of air...no?

Yeah...enjoy defending a stranger who is attacking the American Military and endangering people's lives. Hell, they guy already released thousands of documents, and where did that get everyone? ANYONE see any change?

I did...wikileaks got more popular...and Bradly Manning is spending the rest of his life in jail while many people named in those docs may have to suffer being captured or killed...or worse.

Yeah!!! WIKILEAKS RULES! THATS HOW YOU DEFEAT THE POWERS THAT BE!

No...sorry...

You may not trust his motives but so far he has only shared truths we can all use.

I see...

I'm sorry but I find many of those documents to be possible lies.

Like, for instance...

Follow this logic with me...you like logic don't you?

BEFORE Bradly Manning released his files to Wikileaks, the CIA created document detailing a worry about "americans soon suspecting/learning that America was funding world terrorism"

THEN AFTER THAT, Bradly Manning sends a document to wikileaks showing America was unwittingly funding terrorism through money we give to Pakistan...

Sounds legit right? But wait...

Why would the CIA have a meeting about "fearing americans may soon suspect we fund terrorism" if the leaked file that proves we do wasn't even stolen by Bradly Manning yet?

It would be like saying- I fear that my parents are going to find my porn stash before you even owned one.

Sigh...anyways...so, you assume I base my assumptions and speculations on "conspiracy theories"...I see.

Mind telling me why you trust Julian Assange???

Is it his trusting face? His adorable voice? The media PUMPING YOUR MIND with his story?

Let me also ask...did you even read any of those documents he released thus far? Did you even know what Wikileaks WAS before Fox news hand fed you your "views"?

Like I said...either way the guy is scum.

Legit or not.

Perhaps our participants forgot... Perhaps a reminder will suffice: Stay focussed on the topic, NOT on each other.

Let's try and keep that in mind.

Thank you.

Mr Mask you are a sharp intellect and a voice of reason amongst a population of dullards.

It's minds like yours and a small handful of others that brings me to this site. Thank you!

What people need to start realizing is that their "conspiracy themed" minds and way of thinking is their own worst enemy. Anything that shows up on the internet or on TV as having something to do with anti-government or truth revealing they immediately accept and believe... Because it falls in line with their paranoid fantasies of "Government out to get them" line of thought

Deny ignorance indeed

I find it upsetting that a few folks will discredit Assange and claim he's a CIA op just because Their theories and opinions don't match with the facts he unleashed upon the world.

The man is a hero...

and for crying out loud, someone please find that password already lol.

Mind sharing a few tid-bits on just what Mr Assange has unleashed?

Mind telling me just how "what he has unleashed" has changed anything?

Mind commenting on Julian's own words "I will crack the entire world open and rebuild it"?

Mind telling us why you think any of this rubbish holds water or means anything?

Or do you just trust this stranger blindly in "cracking open your world" and then "rebuilding it as he sees fit"?

Sorry...I tend to think the people who destroy my world should at least be voted into power.

I'm curious how you find it that people discredit Mr Assange souly on "theories and opinions that don't match with the facts he unleashed upon the world"...

What facts do YOU PERSONALLY find HUGE enough to overlook the fact that he plans on destroying and than reconstructing the entire world into his personal vision for us? Or are you just assuming he released something big?

Heros normally don't operate out of tiny holes where they peddle stolen things that they plan on using to "crack the world open with"...do they?

EDITED TO ADD-

I find it absolutely AMAZING that so many folks praise Assange for being a hero, when alls he does is bask in the light f his fame, while Bradly Manning suffers 50+ years in prison for supplying Assange this info based on a promise that Assange and his lawyers would protect him...

If you think stealing info for the good of humanity is a worthy action of heroism...why then are so many people cheering Assange and not even mentioning Bradly Manning who lost his entire life to bring you this info?

All these pages...not one of you mention Mr Manning or even thank him for his sacrifice...telling.

I guess the mainstream news didn't indoctrinate you into thanking the guy who actually suffered to help.

Yeah...again...telling.

EDITED TO ADD-

Bradly, I'm so sorry that you were confused enough to lose your life in hopes to protect mine...I thank you for that and hope you know you are a real hero. With love and regards!

May be a bit of a daft question, but has anyboody tried "Reston5" as a password for the file yet?

A twitter message stating "the insurance file password is.." would be very obviously and immediately flagged and taken down, but a cryptic message saying Activate Reston5 wouldn'd be immediately obvious and slip under the radar

Anyone with a copy of the file want to try?

Sorry...I agree with the Pentagon's statements on this one- that wikileaks has all the hallmarks of a CIA operation.Text

I think you're right. And I also won't be surprised to find that these thousands of pages of newly-released documents don't reveal anything that astonishing when it's all said and done. Just another "event" being played out that will provide ammo for the government to claim they have to censor the Internet for "national security" reasons.

Why is it that those haranguing mr mask and doing everything INCLUDING imply he's a paid shill do not seem to get that this isn't a black and white situation!!

Several people have accused him of basically being on the side of the US government because he doesn't unreservedly shout WIKI PRAISES for the world to hear....

The reality is if posters had done their homework like Mask had they'd be suspicious too!! Especially with Wired and it's Verified Narc Editor providing Cover fire for each other.... It's looking extremely convenient... and for those of you that have never crossed an International Border in your lives.... it's not like driving or even flying to Disneyland!! And unless Julian has Hookups like the Underwear bomber (Intel agency backing again rears it's very ugly hypothetical head) International terminals are pretty high security and even road and rail crossings are interesting...

And one other keyword that mr. mask brought up (well not so much keyword but KEY PERSON)

CASS SUNSTEIN: Oh how quick the conspiracy community forgets these days... so here's the youtube vid

CASS SUNSTEIN COGNITIVE INFILTRATION Cass sunstein espousing just some of his views on how best to deal with leaks and conspiracy theory... Wikileaks was not much of anything before this guy was sworn in... He is a virulent NASTY NANNY STATE dirty trick advocate... and the current wikileaks Soap opera is right up his alley.

For those of you not willing to do your own research I'd tie it up in a bow but I forgot my ribbon curler in my other browser window!!

Add in the other factors he mentions and wiki doesn't look too Kosher...

On top of this though like mask has pointed out even if wiki is on the level though...
This whole soap opera is happening at a time and in a way where the potential cost to our freedoms for the knowledge it has netted us so far is quite simply NOT WORTH IT

LIke I say people QUI BONO?

IT'S NOT US!!
