thanks! Probably my favorite series of commercials that have aired in recent memory... saw the pic on meme generator, and just had to use it.

I'm really hoping something pans out with this whole thing... seriously... just release the passkey already... and show us all that it's a 1 line text file that he used ZIP2EXE on a crapload of times, to increase the file size.

Well, it's near DC - in/near Fairfax i think... so that connects it to the seat of government from a geographical aspect...tho I'm not sure there's a solid link.

What's reston's ZIP code? Those are 5 digits... does "reston5" mean it's 5 digit ZIP?

Maybe the words aren't as they seem:
BO, coms, S., 5 : Seem to be stand out

maybe they are fake? project move to channel activate reston?

just to get your brain churning.

I thought of that already. Wouldn't you know that reston5.com was registered just this morning! Coinky-dink? It was registered at GoDaddy at 15:45:58UT and is parked at SedoParking with SedoParking's default landing page. Any attempts to access any named directories just hits a rewrite rule back to the default (landing) page.

Of course, WHOIS is hidden through a ProxyService so we don't know who actually owns it. We'd have to subpoena GoDaddy for that info.

Wow! I've been off since then, i have to catch up with reading, but that's pretty ironic. Nice find!

Just to add to the things happing today that make you say hmmmm.... It appears homeland security has just granted the military new powers to deal with cyber security threats....

www.nytimes.com...

Havn't read too deep into the story yet.. but odd that this should be a headline with everything else going on on the internets today.

Is there an IRC chat for WL? I checked the one on their website, but there were only 3 people in the room, and I think they were admins. Seems that something like this would be flooding IRC chatrooms or such,,,

Hmmm, with the size of the file AES 256 bit encryption... Is this an encrypted video file? I'm not a crypto expert, but I did find a link to some software that uses AES 256 to encrypt videos.

download.cnet.com...

That's a really interesting find. It would be nice if we could run the player, and at least find out if it's a video file or not... without needing the password. grrr... frustration

EDIT - downloaded and tried to decrypt. Didn't work... changed file extension to .cfx ... then the player gave me an error of 'Did not recognize header' ...

What do you mean by "the password part of the file"?

The "program to run it on", if I'm reading you correctly, is an SSL decryption program... BUT... we need the password to decrypt it. The password is input using a command line variable... like back in the days of DOS.

I can't get the SSL decryption program to run on windows 7...other wise I'd be trying random passwords between page refreshes... dumb luck is better than no luck.
