Lights Over El Paso, TX October 15, 2010 (SOLVED/Identified - SkyDivers)

no matter what it is, its just awesome...


Even if it were to turn out to be a meteor, i'm pretty sure this is the only video of its kind, which makes it unique, and veeeeeeeeeeery interesting....

I'd like to point out:


With this night time footage, and the FOX News night time footage (which was also impressive), this makes 2 high definition night time 'UFO' sightings that have been recorded by credible news sources in just 2 days....

Its not a Ufo sighting.

It was a nighttime sky diving session. All the video evidence supports this conclusion. This one should not go down as a UFO.

well if you would watch the video, it would appear that the bluish light on the left side of the screen would seem to indicate the last light of the sun. Does that place the lights in a west, northwest position (remember wind speed is 3mph from the NE)? Isn't that quite a bit fare from Briggs (landing sight) especially considering that the video appears to be shot from an airport terminal?

but i guess these are just "minor discrepancies" and nothing more.

This is what I remember ATS being all about. Something abnormal happened in the sky and was presented on the forums. Everyone brainstormed as to what it could and could not be, and through proper research - we came up with an explanation which was the Golden Knights practicing. We were able to do this without digressing with personal attacks and sarcastic comments (Hinting from the NYC UFO thread).

Occam's razor can be applied to this event:

• Airshow this weekend.
  
• Golden Knights performing at said airshow.
  
• Golden Knights practice the day before the performance.
  
• Video and article on said practice.
  
• Flares/Lights in said video were seen in the external videos.
  

Simplest answer - Golden Knights.

like i said though, no matter what it is, still a cool video....a very cool video....And a cool idea for a night time sky dive....

Even though I may not totally agree with everyone here very well put!! A good discussion never involves personal attacks, It should always be about the truth and learning from one another!! S&F!!

Hope they do more then make a triangle for the spectators sake. That must take hours of practice.

If there are only three of them it's hard to make anything but a triangle (or a straight line).

Sorry i couldnt read all 20 pages but a few questions

those sky divers must have been close together, wouldent that tangle the parachute?

The formation they was in did seem sorta identical to the other video, is that hard to do whilst skydiving or a simple technique?

Would skydiving at night with flairs disrupt air traffic?

Lastley is it simple to freefall together then spread out with the same accuracy every time?

PS. im not a skeptic or a believer.

They weren't very close after their chutes opened but that's not really a problem.

Ok, I may be able to disprove the parachute theory ... but I'm going to need a video of this event that shows when the lights/"flares" blink out (if they blink out/fade). i guess if someone can send me a link, i'll look it over and see if I can debunk the debunkers.
