They don't all jump out at the same time! Watch the video of them!

GEEZZZZ

GEEZZZ mate, I can only go by the article you guys are basing this on, don't shoot the messenger!!

All eight gave a final salute, and in the blink of an eye they disappeared into the evening sky.

"In the blink of an eye" sounds like all together to me..

But what amazes me more is the precision they show in sticking together considering they state the wind was at 120mph!! Now that frekin amazing.

At that height, buildings are no larger that your thumb and the wind is 120 mph, enough to knock you down. The temperature is 30 to 40 degrees, while on the desert floor the temperature can be in the 80s, as it was Friday.

www.elpasotimes.com...

Cant wait to see all the vids from the actual show tomorrow..Maybe you guys will post some to prove your point.

Hate to say it, but I'd have to agree with Phage/NASA on this one. They could not have known it was skydivers, unless they knew about them beforehand.

Or perhaps they just asked their members if they ever saw something similar?

WOW right back atcha, MMN!

No, I really am not delving into this forum any more than what I already have! I am such a butt-head that I have already decided what I believe about ufo's, aliens, etc.! Your rationale and logic aren't gonna sway me now, but nice try!

Jennbee35.....

You seem like a good-natured soul!

For what it's worth, I don't want you to simply categorise me as an ardent "skeptic".

In that context, here is a case I find interesting:

Revisiting The 1994 Nellis Air Force Base UFO Video

While I'm at it, here's another one with some strange attributes:

Revisiting the 1990 Greifsweld (Germany) “Plasma” UFO’s

If you find that last one interesting, you might also enjoy looking at material pertaining to the Hessdalen lights.....some suggest there are similarities:

www.youtube.com...

But..... the video that's the subject of this thread?

That's 100% bet-your-house-on-it parachutists.

Kind regards

Maybe you're right.

But maybe you're not.

Whenever I see Phage post in a thread, I take it with a grain of salt, do my own research, and come to my own conclusions. I already said that I do not believe that the video is UFOs (dots aren't good enough), but to see the stream of the thread change so rapidly due to a single popular member's post is sickening. If you think those who agree with Phage are level-headed and those who disagree with him or want to keep their mind open are ignorant fools, you need to learn how to respect another one's perspective.

But you said earlier that one goes before the three...why would the fourth appear after? I mean I can see it being the first guy of the last group of 4 to go, but then we would have seen three more after that correct? And this is all assuming the reporter mis-reported the fact that eight left at once (which btw would make nine jumpers including the first guy to jump, as the reporter distinguishes between the first guy to jump and the following eight). Then again, the reporter may have not actually been there and just accepted this on Golden Knight press releases or such.

why were a military sky diving team jumping out side of the hours listed?
why jump at night unless part of the show?
why only four flares ?
why no news releases prior to practice jump?
where was the landing aera?
why does this footage not look like anything i have seen before?

do you understand how this looks to beleivers?

With all due respect & civility intended.....that's a pretty big leap you've just made.

I don't understand where you think I said that.

also, shouldn't the fourth light in the video I posted be plummeting down in a freefall like the ones that came before it?

Hmmm,I'm new but can already sense that many questions do not get answered..You just have to accept as fact what is offered to you.
In this instance I'm happy to wait 24 hours so they can post vids of the actual airshow to prove that is what we saw..
I don't think I'll hold my breath though.

Just a quick reminder....

U.F.O. = Unidentified Flying Object.

Yes... they are U.F.O.s until identified and no one has claimed responsibility yet, right?

Unidentified. Flying. Objects.

Practice?

Practice?

It's being argued that they're skydivers, not flares. Why there are only 4 of them...practice?

These things could be done all the time.

This is a good question. Somebody needs to figure this out.

I've seen many videos like this before. You should look around on YouTube.

It looks fishy, but dots are dots. Even if they were UFOs, it will never be proven conclusively.

If I have misunderstood your implication, I apologize. It's just that in nearly every thread involving UFOs that Phage debunks, you are soon to follow, backing up whatever Phage has said.

If you can provide one instance where you have disagreed with Phage on an issue (preferably UFO related), I will fully take back my comments.

We already posted videos that look identical... Why would you need another video?

edit on 16-10-2010 by 0ne10 because: (no reason given)

Sorry to jump in like that but "identical" is not good enough. When the airshow takes place and someone post a video with them performing the same thing, only then it can be compared.Because if they did it once...i guess they can do it again.

Oh come on.
The wind was not blowing at 120 MPH. Last evening/night the wind in El Paso was about 5mph.
source

At 10,000 feet the wind was 12knots (14mph).
source

It's just another case of an idiot reporter not understanding. 120 miles is freefall speed.

No mate, 8 jumped together..
Phage argues that not all need flares as its only practice.
I would think all 8 would need to be visible for practice purposes..

And I already asked where was the landing field, no answer.

All eight gave a final salute, and in the blink of an eye they disappeared into the evening sky.

I've also asked if anyone knows what time this jump took place. Note the article says evening, not night.

They would all need to be visible also because their landing spot:

landing spot

would have been right next to an international airport...where the aforementioned NOTAM would have been especially needed....

(for the record, I don't and never did think that these are aliens)
