Ektar....thankyou! When I was watching that live, in some places it looked like the holes were appearing and disappearing....like (like a bubbling or popping effect).....i thought I was seeing things. Now that you said that, I know it was real. Thanks for the videos!

If I'm replying to someone's quote, I click on the reply at the top on the right of the post
& if I'm just replying I click on the reply at the bottom of the post. So no quotes either way...
Hope that helps.

Certainly is, my fear is that what they are doing is exactly what happens when you perforate paper? Makes it tear a whole lot easier.
Ive said it once ive said it a million times, this is far from over. I really hope im wrong.
I genuinely believe that.
The very first thread i said that this was on biblical proportions.
(check the first threads regarding the spill, i was laughed and mocked apparently i was scare mongering.)
I posted the thread regarding the ship listing to avoid something and that sunk to lol

Ektar, am I missing something? I do not see the seafloor bubbling as you described. Am I looking the right video?

This is about 10 minutes later....those lights in the back kept getting bigger and brighter, then a big "storm" of white stuff....then the ROV went to the BOP platform and grabbed onto it. I left for 5 minutes and when I came back...the ROV had moved and was showing nothing....it just left the area.

Thanks. The way my posts were lining up w/the quoted text really bugged me. I hate it when technology gets in my, some what clumsy, way.

It does help...thanks. I shudder to think of all the things I've likely done wrong as a bull in a china closet.

To be very frank, I think those of us here are well passed panic. Gulf residents know what's going on in their back yard & I have no illusions of the monster we are opposing. They would sell out their Grandmothers for a buck...or a quart of oil.

Our people, who are supposed to be in charge of over seeing all of this, make a hefty salary, and who knows how much under the table. (BTW everyone of them should be fired.) This isn't the only disaster with a bead on us. The more our socio-economic structure breaks down the more we're going to see. And the less resources we will have to throw at it.

I understand why the oil rig employees wanted to get back to work. In a way that will to our advantage. They may be on the payroll, but they don't want to end up like the 11 dead. IMO none of those wells should be allowed to go back into production with out witnessed, inspections. I say witnessed because there are enough people in the area that can understand what should & should not be red flagged.

Like us, here, the Gulf residents had to get an education on their feet. Perhaps much more then I. I trust the average soul who needs the work, but doesn't need the chaos.

Look to the right in the beginning of this video....do you see the gas plumes? Greenish blue? This was from yesterday.

Skat, if you look closely, there is a black cloud (oil) as well, in addition to the white plume (more gas)

Kno22 - they should all go back to work as soon as possible because we need them out there to look after the platforms. Tony Hayward in his testimony said that anyone at whatever level can "hit the red button". That is what the HSE manual says but as several had testified, you hit the "red button" you are fired.

In practice, the safety rules apply to only the "small people" while the "big people" can get away with anything. That's from my experience.

Agreed. There is nothing that takes the place of 'eyes on' the front line. As winter approaches we don't want those wells out of production. Early on BP suggested gasoline prices, at the pump, could go up to $7.00 a gallon to off set their costs of the clean up. IMO BP should eat the costs, learn the lesson & stop destroying peoples lives. Yeah...that's going to happen.

Sorry bad footage for explanation... I do have photos from Aug that show the floor popping.
It is like watching a "zit" erupt...pressure forms a bubble, it ruptures, becomes concave like a crater,
then refills or smooths over only to repeat the process. This series was much slower than the video Kat just provided. Thanks for ALL your work & help!
