Mass insanity on ATS?

People should sit down and think a moment. We are nothing in the universe. Has anyone ever been able to explain infinity? Are some folks able to believe there might be out there other forms of intelligence or life than what you are served regularly in sci-fiction movies? Something that you can't just imagine because your references are what's available around and in our galaxy. Anything is possible, so it's better to remain open-minded.

I have two options when I am compelled into believing something... Research until I can find the proof that confirms or debunks. In a no proof situation, I'll keep an open mind towards the subject. In other words - It's on hold until it can be proven one way or the other.

I am not allowed to take for granted, shortcuts, leaps of faith or a vacation on the island of religion. I do allow myself to not know /be open minded, but I prefer the other option.

So... I don't know if we are nothing in the universe. I don't know if it's infinite, I don't know if there is intelligence life out there and I don't know if anything is possible.

Do you?

Infinity is obvious. For anything else, I have pretty much the same attitude as yours: don't dismiss things until proven false, beyond reasonable doubt.

I might fit the description given some dots that I THINK i've been connecting as of late, BUT, I didn't sign up until the 22nd of this month, so it can't be me.

I myself have been going a little nuts lately though I must admit, need to tone it down I think and just sit back and take a wait and see attitude, for a few weeks, and then come back and make a formal apology for what a fool I was being for allowing my imagination to run away with me and those who've been reading my posts.

If I've got it all wrong, sorry, and if I'm right, well what can we do? Some are prepared, some aren't and think the world is something a lot closer to the everyday that they see on the tube on on the street.

Maybe NOTHING's going on, but everything in me, and my logical, rational mind, which loves to solve a good mystery, tells me otherwise. I do hope I'm totally wrong and way way off base, maybe even a little schitzo, in which case, perhaps after a few weeks and nothing at all significant happens, I ought to consider going on meds or something, because right now my alarm bells are going off and are telling me to get ready for the show of the ages!

really?? THE Billy Mier??? he is still alive?? last i heard he was being held a virtual hostage in his own home. he must have escaped and now lives in a safehouse that has internet. thats the great thing about the internet you can claim to be whoever you like without any significant proof. if shark jumping was an Olympic sport ATS would be the leading the gold medal tally.

If anyone needs "real fake" video footage evidence of an UFO, I'm into video editing... With Final Cut Pro, a few Photoshop tricks, that's unbelievable what you can do from scratch...
Don't get me wrong though, I'm convinced we're not alone in the universe. And it happens that we are alone, it's OK, keep destroying ourselves and the planet. But if we aren't, we better start to behave as humans with a brain... Otherwise what our faraway neighbors are going to think of us?

Folks, I've heard from more than one member that is pretty much fed up.
I am too. I've been a member for quite a while, but am losing interest. What's the point?
All Springer is saying is "don't cause problems". I understand why, and I don't blame him.
BUT, understand this! ATS is a commercial money making enterprise. Fine no problem. But being what it is, it's no different than a TV network running Dancing With the Stars. If people watch it, they make money from adverstising, more hits to ATS the more ATS makes from advertising. Get it?
ATS is not clamoring for QUALITY, but simply for ORDER. Quality or intelligence might have mattered once, but no longer.It seems anything is swallowed hook line and sinker in certain Forums, with the tacit support of the site. There are , in practice, low to no standards.
It was great while it lasted, but it's going fast. Nothing can be done. I don't consider this to be cynical, but realistic.
All things evolve.

With popularity, comes the populace (including young teens and preteens), and ATS is getting quite popular. That means the same people who listen to Lady Gaga and Beiber as if it were audible heroin are posting on this site in record #s. These people can easily be mistaken for lunatics, but in reality they are just horribly ... pop. *shudders* To put it nicely.

With economic woes, comes true insanity. As Gerald Celente said, "when people lose everything, and they have nothing left to lose, they lose it". We are in a depression right now. This is not a recession. We are about to fall into a much bigger depression. Is it just Celente saying this? No. David M. Walker former U.S. Comptroller General and Harvard graduate (extremely brilliant, his IQ must be 165+) has been saying it, Peter Schiff the expert of experts on the economy has been saying it. It is going to happen, and it is in the process of happening right now.

I think the merger of these two things, is what you are seeing.

Yes, it's true. Especially when you are not a loser at all, have fought and lost many battles in your life. And finally lose what's most important to you: those you love... What's left when you are so tired of it all that you can't make a move to start over one more time? Become alcoholic? Drink to forget, then drink to forget you became an alcoholic? Suicide?

I agree with fist part, disagree with the second. America's "depression" is more luxurious than most of the world. Stupid crap like Gaga simply illustrates the spoiled nature of our voyeuristic society. We have more than enough money to waste on her. Americans are spoiled brats, constantly griping about what they don't have, seldom doing anything constructive. We get what we deserve, despite this sites posters constantly blaming someone else because of a "conspiracy"!

I just made a comment about something you wrote.
In Paris, on the streets, there are lots of guys who "lost it". Some are 100% responsible, just bums, some others aren't really. They found themselves there after losing everything: job, apartment, wife. A lot to handle at once. But don't worry, they don't have internet access and they won't come on ATS.
I came here in the first place to dig a bit further about streetlight interference, as whatever explanation I have found so far doesn't explain it all. I don't think anyway that I'm going to hang in here very long.

Guys seriously, its so much more complex than what we see and hear. the game thats being played is so muti faceted and multi layered than most people cant even grasp the implications of whats going on. the level of detail that has gone into the construction of this artificial reality we live is impressive to say the least. i have nothing but respect for anybody that can wield this much power. i know i wouldn't be able to manage or control so i appreciate the magnitude of whats playing out. having said that i dont agree with whats going on. but u have to be realistic and appreciate the level of effort that has gone into the construction of this game we play. all i can say is i wish with all my heart that im wrong because god help us all if im right......

there have always been a few delusional insane types here, but lately it seems like someone turned down the IQ a couple of notches if you know what i'm saying

Just wondering what this advertisement for scientology.org does on top of ATS... They don't have a great reputation here in France...
