As for updates on the situation, you'll see a few posts up that another pic was released yesterday of a blue orb. Of course there was no info with the pic so it's as useless as the rest of the media coming out of china.

I've been spending some time reading the posts on www.ufoxh.com..., which looks like a chinese equivalent of ATS. This is where a lot of the source info has been quoted from. There are 2 threads on the Qinling event, both of which have very few responses and most of which claim it's a hoax. Given that there is no new credible evidence 3 days after the event, we have to start to wonder if anything actually happened at all.

the bottom line is... this entire story is based on very little info with no credible sources. Throw in some random pictures and videos of unrelated/faked events and we're left with a crackpot theory which leaves us clutching at straws in desperation to turn this into something it isn't, because we've tied it in to the other "events" which have the same lack of credible evidence.

There IS something going on here. I'm still half convinced that the subject matter is not important and has been chosen as it's a hot topic coming up to 2012; it's more about getting the attention of western society... but for what reason?

That is an intersting find. Sounds like it could be related to me, only in the fact that this may have happened in other parts of their country as well. It's the safest and most sensible explanation we have recieved so far.

They should put the camera on the ground so that we can see the people AND see what they are looking at...I suspect it is a hoax, but I also know that it is entirely possibly aliens and just bad journalism...

My wife is Chinese, so i got her to look into it, which was hard as she is not into the subject and thinks im a wierdo As far as she can tell, there is no evidence to support this, and its just rumours. She read that someone contacted the government, and they knew nothing about it.

I think there is nothing to this story.
