It took you 5 pages to come up with that?
Grow up.

Setoman, with regards to the MATERIAL ISSUES IN YOUR OP, what would your prophet advise, aside from prayer, meditation, reflection and rededication to Christian tenets, for the regular American to do to prepare for the disasters ahead?
Specifically, are there any "survival/preparedness" tasks or supplies that would be beneficial or that would ensure safety?
Should we perhaps move our savings into safer currencies? Invest in precious metals? Beans, bullets, bandaids? Leave the country?
Thanks in advance.

You're fooled into thinking that you're free yet your rationale is powerless to determine your own basic path entirely (and not just by simply physical limitations, but by imposed limitations!), but only when worried/stressed sheep turn to historical (and no longer in context) cycles for comfort regarding false and true shepherds are you vocally active? Don't you realize that most humans have been on "the short bus" the whole time? If you are so removed from such issues, why are you not offering compassion and direction to the weak? Please, do so.

Now you resort to personal attacks because you have no ammunition to defend your argument otherwise.
I could claim just as well that you do not know what edification means and do not understand prophecy, but then we'd have resorted to childish name calling. And for the record, I know that the church is the body of believers, that's why I put it in quotes.
The fact of the matter is your friend is not a prophet, the Bible tells us so and even warns against false prophets because they are abundant, as is obvious by this thread and others.
Since we can't see eye to eye on doctrine, however, both making our points, we'll have to just agree that we disagree.

The problem, Mr. D, is that the Bible tells us there will not be any prophets who can tell the future and warn nations to repent for their sin or face certain punishments. The only prophets will be to edify and protect the church. They are classified as Old Testament prophets and New Testament prophets. So biblically speaking, until Revelation and the 2 witnesses, the Bible tells us there will not be any prophecies of the nature described in the Original Post.
The original poster disagrees with this biblical doctrine, so we are not going to debate it any further, both having elaborated on our points.

Where does it say that in the Bible? That is not scriptural NOT BIBLICAL. You also contradict yourself because prophet Agabus prophesied of a great famine in his nation and even other disciples prophesied the future.

This began as a thread of doom and prediction and when the doom and prediction gets questioned these enlightened ones such as yourself start with the insults and personal attacks because logic has failed,
YOU have no idea who I am or what I believe or how I act or treat others or myself but you'll lump me into your pathetic descriptive thought pot of weak sheep and blah hah cycles and limitations and expect that to just be okay and accepted.

The 'predictions' are ladened with fear and gloom and death and doom, and youre questioning MY compassion and spiritual integrity and growth?
The 'predictions' involve talk of a presidential assassination and you think that's not a hot button to be blabbing on about, on the internet, with word and phrase triggers in play?
The predictions sure dont offer much peace and love and good happiness stuff now do they?
The predictions dont even offer worth or exactness or a benefit, do they?
The "predictions" are made by some log in name faceless friend who talks to god,
Hey champ, my sister in law talks to god all the time, last thing he told her was that I had the ability to shoot lasers out of my eyes ! No joke, yep she has issues, she's getitin help, probably gonna need an entire lifetime of help.

Now I am a little wary because he said invest in gold and silver. I would think God have us not trust in material riches at all.
I will give your friend time to prove himself because of Jesus. We know in part and we prophesy in part. I wouldn't call him a prophet, just yet, but he may have the gift of prophesy.
The definition of a false prophet, people, is someone who tries to turn you away from the Lord.
He may call Jesus Lord but when the antichrist comes will he call the antichrist Jesus? It is a very tricky situation.
Believe not every spirit but prove all things Setoman.
