Texas witness estimates 'SUPER SHIP' was 7,500 feet long!

Well, I live in New Jersey, in the city of Linden. It's a large, heavily suburban area. We have a small airport, which is located barely a mile away from my house. Not to mention Linden is located directly next to Elizabeth port, and roughly 20 minutes away from Newark International airport. I say all of this so you ATSer's can see that here in Linden, we get air traffic all the time overhead. Sometimes 2 or 3 commercial jets could be flying overhead at a time. How is this short summary of where I live related to OP? Because, last night at around 10:30pm, I saw what looked to be an orange, spherical object in the sky, very close to the ground. It was high in the sky, but lower than the commercials jets I see all of the time. Now the thing that really drove me to type this post is, this object I saw in the sky, also had a bright blinking red light on top of it. It looked almost like a red laser beam because of of now focused this red light was. It's shape was also very similar to a blimp. I've seen commercial jets, helicopters, little private planes, and military jets all fly through these skies before. But never anything this round with a red light on top. This flashing red light makes me think it was something man-made. It was moving pretty fast, and in a west-ward direction. I have no pics of it, because the only camera I own is the one in my phone, and that's horrible.

i once saw a ufo in the dark forest
it was multicolor .. flashing light but they didnt flash very fast if i remember .. because it was 15 yrs ago
travelling beside a mountain with no roads .. maybe it was floating i couldnt see in the dark
i still cant explain what i saw ..
but it was small .. like yours
this texan men witness a 7500 feet wide ship ... seeing that kind of ufo would change my life forever

Second of all, can someone tell me why some advanced alien technology would bother entering the atmosphere with such a large ship? What would be the purpose? Not scientific measurement or sample gathering for crying out loud (again, for obvious reasons). So why the need for such a large ship and then to bring it into a planet's atmosphere?

I postulate that they live there ,they can't just walk around on this world

For the texan who saw the gigantic UFO and the countless others I read on mufon.
The story always seems to start with,
"I stepped out side for a smoke"

I can not count how many times this line is used when dealing with witnessing a UFO!

Now I realize why we have more UFO sitings because more people do not smoke inside like they used too!

Once long ago you would have to empty out your ash tray in your car! Not any more since the flick a butt out the window became popular or throwing the butt on the ground and grinding it into the pavement is more convenient that dumping the ash tray by the coffee table.

I would love to read I step out side for a smoke and the UFO zapped my cigarette!
and then I got the feeling I should quit.

True, a well-known phenomena--today. But the kicker is, as with UFO sightings being hibitually debunked by the authorities, there MUST be a conventional explanation that is created to explain the unexplainable. And viola! such appears!

I suggest you review the incidents of those "holes" and take particular interest in those that included a mysterious object in the center or that moved through the center of such formations.

One of the first, if not the first, photograph of one of these was featured on the front of a meteorological magazine named Weatherwise back in about 1973. At that time it was totally unknown in the field--when weatherpeople actually studied the actual sky instead of computer simulatons. Are we to assume now that it is a phenomena that has only been recognized in the last few years? Sorry, that explanation doen't work for me. It's too late.

From reading the thread it seems to suggest that this may be a dud, I think this one comes down to wishful thinking, beer and or other stimulants etc etc..

When I saw a huge craft I was unable to give a size estimate other than the word 'huge', I'd be highly suspicious of how someone made a mile long guess in the dark about a craft in the clouds?

I know everything is supposed to be bigger in Texas but I doubt it applies to UFO's as well

And can we keep religion out of UFO posts, its hard enough already to read thru them without 'that' being added.

Some of the witnesses on the night of the Phoenix Lights described a black triangular craft that was HUGE that passed over them.

I have a feeling that our leaders have just about run out of all options and they know we are getting very mad over many many things. Domestic policies, Foreign policies, International policies. They know its getting worse, and control is slipping. Most all of us know its getting worse with each passing day on many fronts.

Im willing to bet that a DISCLOSURE is probably inevitable within the next year. Its the only thing that I know of that would stop everyone in their tracks and reassess just about everything we believe and think reality has been up to this point in history.

If this stuff is real and is disclosed to the world there will actually be more debunkers and naysayers saying NONSENSE, than people that flip out over it for whatever reason including christians freakin out saying its of Satan

Then you will have the groups saying its Project Blue Beam or the government. Even if it is the governments..where did they get the technologies? From brilliant scientists alone? Come on

Well I doubt that these massive ships are floating within our atmosphere. There is no reason to. They can send small scout ships. At least on the moon there massive ships that have been left behind:



The main ship is around 4 km long and 1/2 mile wide. Its triangular partner is next door to it. [I am prepared to get flamed but is there].

Are you saying that you have had contact with some sort of unearthly being? That is just not something you can claim and then save for another time.

All these deep discussions lately in regards to aliens and disclosure yet the most obvious and probable conclusion is the least discussed. There is technologies from the 50's and 60's that we are only discovering as of recently that even today sounds like science fiction. Can you IMAGINE what technology there is RIGHT NOW that would make your head spin like CRAZY!!!!

Why isnt the most SANE assumption, which is that all this is MAN-MADE technology, seem to take a back seat to crazy alien and space craft tall tales and fantasy stories. Its just crazy to think that 99.9999% of all this, if not 100% is not MAN-MADE. Doesnt that make the MOST sense??

I really dont know of anything to which a person sees on a normal basis to be able to claim this magical 7500 feet in length figure. I know the length of a football field to "gauge" something to that I see, but I dont know anything that is 7500 feet in size to which I can say, "Yea it looks to be 7500 feet to me..."

If you see something strange, I would bet it is NOT something "unearthly" that is flying above. Perhaps its very EARTHY in fact. WHY is that SO HARD to believe???

At 3:30 a.m , the daily commercial jets screamed overhead towards
the airport , at 5000 feet , tiny and loud .
I am a very experienced seaman/bushman , and this is not my only
encounter .,( although the largest so far ). I now carry a video camera
on these trips , but it wasn't there on that night .
I have had contact of the fourth kind , and can assure you , they were
of the benevolent kind .... maybe another time

Can you and would you make a thread based upon your observation. Sometimes these posts and comments will get buried amongst the ton of information that is posted on ATS. I recommend you post your sighting with pictures or video or at least report it to MUFON, so as we can reference in a later time.

Maybe the ship was cleaning up the oil spill.

Surely something so big, over a mile wide, would have been picked up by radar or even seen by those in the aviation field. I doubt if this story has any legitimacy.

As others have already said, I find it strange for some one to describe something in the sky as 7500'. About a mile in a half, over a mile or less than two miles would be as odd to me. Large in size would also be meaningless. To give such a definitive size is suspicious to me.

Ben81, you mention a 747 as an analogy of sorts to gauge the size or this ship but you already know he size of one. How is that to compare to something of unknown size and altitude? Your videos of movie references and hole punch clouds don't help the legitimacy of this questionable case, in my opinion.

I don't believe we're alone in the universe but question some accounts and videos such as this one.

nononono, that's nasty. Film can in the car (the lid cuts off the oxygen so it goes out after a couple of seconds. You shake so it doesn't burn a hole in the can) flower pot with sand (not a plant!) on the balcony/ patio. Birds will actually eat cigarette butts- especially seagulls. Needless to say, it kills them in a very ugly way.

Very possible however, there are no clouds above that one. You can clearly see the blue sky above it.

Isn't Mustang Island only about 3 miles wide or am I confusing it with Bolivar? And I'm wondering how he could tell the difference between an offshore platform & a tanker. Even in broad daylight with good visibility, you usually need binoculars.

To the person who asked about sleeping in the car: is this uncommon elsewhere? I would do it today, just for nostalgia's sake. Port Aransas can get incredibly crowded. If you go on a wild hair, you could *easily* wind up sleeping in your car.
(Nueces County Park seems dicey to me. It was really narrow & if the tide comes in, you could wake up stuck. The 'south jetties'- Packery Channel, I think, down that way, seems like a better bet)
