My two cents...

It doesn't matter if Moore is right or not. What matters is that he feels that his government hasn't been transparent about 9-11 or the war and Iraq and he's willing to let people know about it... and last I checked, he's entitled to his opinion as much as other people. That doesn't mean he "hates America". This thing about people who criticize American policy being portrayed as "hating America" is getting really old...

I'm sorry, I don't want to start fights, but I have to say... I thought only the Pope was infallible. Now apparently America is too?

I'm going to repeat what I said in another thread...

Say what you want about the man but he's a great film maker and whether I believe his propaganda or not I've always enjoyed it.

He's in the entertainment business and he entertains well, job done.
That's the odd thing, people argue so much about the politics of his films they don't actually say if they thought it was well made regardless of whether they think it's fact or fiction.
I'll be there to see it.

Also, I love the amount of people who say "I've read his books and watched his movies and I think he's a liar" when they are so obviously full of doo doo, they just have to say this otherwise they show themselves up to be the ignoramuses they are.

They base their opinions soley on "Bowling for Columbine" and the amount of right wing sites out there pointing out it's "lies". Guess what guys? Every film out there has these "lies" as well, they're called mistakes or bloopers. No film out there is mistake free, documentaries included. Sure, he probably twisted some things as well to fit his ideas but that's his job people, he's making propaganda and fighting fire with the fire of the government dirt tactics, live with it.

This is a film category he's doing and it isn't an old one, it's propaganda. Get used to it guys, it comes out of Hollywood all the time but everyone seems to take an exception to Moore yet they don't to all the right wing lies that fly out of Hollywood on a regular occurance.

If say I don't like romantic comedies then I wont watch them, and I'm not going to kick and cry just because other people do, even if I can't understand why. For anyone that doesn't like the Bush Admin this is going to be a great piece of entertainment for them (at the end of the day that's what this is guys, REMEMBER THAT!!!) and fits right into the type of film they're looking for. Don't worry, there is plenty of anti-Moore entertainment out there (in fact far more than Moore himself spews out) so go forth and enjoy that.

Anyone who hasn't seen this film has no business tearing it apart, it's ridiculous and childish end of story. If you didn't like romantic comedies you wouldn't even give them a passing thought, so do likewise with this. If you really think it's full of piss then show it the true contempt it deserves and don't speak about it because right now you're doing Moore's work for him.

Most of the judges at Canne that vote for the awards aren't French you fool, in fact Quentin Tarantino was one of them.

John Nada - Thank you, friend.

And I see we're into France-bashing again... another thing which is getting old, from some people who cannot stand that another country would have the nerve to disagree with the almighty (and always right) Bush administration.

I will never pay good money to this swine, if I do see it I am either sneaking in (gotta love strong fingers and bad theatre doors
) or paying to see The Terminal or Harry Potter...movies that deserve my money.

Originally posted by ATSluvDroidA lot of it was stuff I more or less knew after having been researching the issues for 2 years now, however it lays everything out in facts. Cold hard factual documents, speeches, film/TV clips, interviews with officials etc etc.

I'm sorry you are so dillusional, or maybe you're just a kid, but there's not a scrap of evidence or "truth" in this movie. I saw the previews and the flat out lying was enough to determine the level of "research" this film has done.

Originally posted by ATSluvDroidUN #ING REAL.

You're right, it's completely bogus, a sham, Michael Moore is a LIAR! Actually he's just dillusional as well.

As Christopher Hickens (last name correct?) said best, "Michael Moore's problem is he starts with the premise that there is a conspiracy between the Bush family and the Bin Ladens. Because of that he follows fantasies to try and prove his theory."

Originally posted by ATSluvDroidI hope Michael Moore makes 200 million from his efforts with this project.

He will make more than that in the Arab world alone. God when will the "Last Crusade" begin.

I'm not even a Catholic but I'll be the first to hit the beaches of the Holy Land.

Originally posted by ATSluvDroidDid you know that our government flew 19 members of the Bin Laden family out of the US the week after 9/11

Yes because some of us unlike you are not buffoons. Do we think this is a horrid conspiracy to steal oil? No...for the same reasons.

Originally posted by ATSluvDroid...without ever being questioned first or anything?

Why would they need questioning, if you knew anything about the WTC bombings you'd understand we had all the evidence we need, we just don't arrest people until the crime is committed thus the FBI couldn't act until it was too late. Thus the Patriot Act, to reduce those restrictions to help prevent terrorism, rather than just punish it.

We knew these members of the Bin Laden family were not involved.

Did you know that the Bin Laden's have disowned Ossama and vowed to kill him?

I bet that wasn't in your pile of C movie.

Originally posted by ATSluvDroidThis during the time when all airports in the country were closed due to threats etc.

Oh so what? Oh good God...it's the end of the world. No one can fly but the innocents who will most likely be hung by KKK members as soon as the evidence it was Ossama Bin Laden who did it, is presented to the public. Yeah that's just HORRIBLE! CURSE BUSH!

Originally posted by ATSluvDroidDid you know that Saudi Arabia owns 6% of the USA?

The USA owns the USA, no one owns any territory of the United States without having to pay property tax.

Don't give me this puffy # ok?

Originally posted by ATSluvDroidThere is SOOO much in this documentary that I am still taking it all in. There was a roaring applause at the end of this 2 hour masterpiece.

"What is right is not always popular and what is popular is not always right." -- Martin Luther King Jr.

I think that man had far more wisdom than Michael Moore.

Oh also, 2 hour movie, 4 year college education.

I think I have you beat in that department to. Is a Political Scientist among other things.

And even I know that to really understand anything in the government, you have to devote your life to understanding that one piece, because it is too vast to understand it all.

Michael Moore has devoted no time to understanding anything.

The dumb #er blamed K-Mart for Columbine.

Originally posted by ATSluvDroidwww.Movietickets.com Go there and look up where its playing and watch it!!

No, just go to the back of your theatre, and find an exit door not well closed, and just sneak in. Michael Moore should die like Monet, broke.

Originally posted by ATSluvDroidThat was the great thing about the flick. It wasn't like he came up with some crazy idea and tried to support it with bull#.

Uhh, yes he did, you moron.

Originally posted by ATSluvDroidMichael says very little in this movie. He gathered up a slew of material and let it all speak for itself. The only times Micahel did speak was during a direct interview, when he approached some governors on the street or during narrative portions.

Oh you mean like when that black man leans forward when Moore asks, "Have you read the Patriot Act" and says, "Let me tell you something, we don't read any bills."

What a bold-faced flat out lie. The Patriot Act was one of the best read Bills in the Senate and in the House, and it was passed with great scrutiny.

Originally posted by ATSluvDroidEverything was put together so well that it was a seemless display of of our current reality spelled out by means of factual mediums.

Stop using that word factual before I rip the fingers off your hands. You don't have a clue what the facts are, you are a kid who has nothing to do with Government nor with Foriegn Affairs. You are just some typical know-nothing citizen that is the living proof and evidence why the Founding Fathers created a Republic, and not a Direct Democracy.

Originally posted by ATSluvDroidNo other way to put it. Somehow he also managed to get a lot of unreal footage from the Iragi war. Seens of the soldiers talking about how they are there to do a job but they feel guilty for being there when there is no threat.

Gah, you just gotta see it.

Hahahahahaah...Soldiers don't say that, SOLDIER does...singular. Finding 15 or 20 people who speak out does not speak for the entire military.

I'll tell you one person who I trust more than any onscreen "soldier".

MSgt Harrel (also happens to be a brother of mine), I was talking with a friend (former 19kilo 221st Cavalry squadron) who is now in Black Water USA about how he handled some faggots (for lack of a better word) who were saying "We shouldn't be in Iraq the Iraq war is wrong blah blah blah".

And MSgt Harrel over-heard us and said so perfectly. "Those little f'ers should shut up, (s-word), they aren't there."

This concludes my post towards you, in the future learn a little about something before buying it. Helps prevent you from buying garbage.

This would be a great getaway place for all who buy Moore's story at face value. I certainly hope you'll do the same when bidding on the resort. BTW, pictures are not available, but, it's OK, just trust me.

I just saw the movie and it rocked. He didn't have to pull any punches. Bush and the band of fools that have propped his sorry butt up all these years did the damage to themselves. I practically had to vomit when I left the theatre just out of utter disgust with the blank check this administration has. I personally think this did not show Bush in as bad a light as it possibly could.

Maybe you all should see it before bashing it. Nothing more hypocritical than talking about something you're not familiar with. Even atheists read the bible so they know what they're up against.

If you saw the movie you'd know that a good half of it was spent on focusing on soliders and families of soldiers and how committed they are to fighting for our country. He focuses a lot "Army of One" on those that serve. This is NOT an anti-military or even anti-war movie. It's about false pretenses, lies, and elitism and how real, patriotic, comitted, honest Americans have to die for NO REASON.

Actually it was. And then they showed where the family saw each other at the nephews wedding a few years back. Wasn't NOBODY trying to kill Osama.

Loson...I think you should address me not CommonSense or Westpoint23.

Because I have been studying government and politics and my favorite Strategic Weapons policy...for 4 years.

You saw a movie for 2 hours.

If you are going to act as a high and mighty preacher for a movie that purports to sell "The Truth".

Then your quarrel is not with other uneducated peoples...but me.

If you can support your movie against me, then you will have accomplished something. (You'll have learned what has taken me 4 years to learn in just 2 amazing and magical hours.)

I think you can start in my new thread, where a great report gives good starting grounds for you to "support this malarky-ball of a movie".

Hahahahahah Lason...sorry but Ossama has not been present with the side of his family that deals with America (and those 19 that were carried to safety from America) for more than 2 decades, since he betrayed his Mother by going to Afghanistan to fight the Soviets.

If he met with any Bin Ladens (I'll find it hard to believe the footage wasn't edited to make you think it was present or recent time or to think that was the ENTIRE Bin laden family) it would have been a few of his brothers (he has 53 brothers and sisters).

Yeah I wonder how you can condemn a family that has literally sprouted from 1 to 53 (imagine how many cousins there are), because of one man.

I think you should just shut the hell up. But that's just me and my 4 years of experience going against your marvellous wonderous magical 2 hours.

I love how so many of you people are bashing this film before having ever seen it, and in the same breath flame and insult me, someone who actually saw the film and wanted to share my review.

It's sad to see so many of you "plants" here trying to sway the public against something that everyone in the country is going to see regardless.

I was never very familiar with Moore until this film. I knew he existed but never had much interest in his previous works. I saw this movie with no preconceptions about Moore or the movie aside from it being about Bush, the War and 9/11.

This film is a masterpiece, regardless of what way you regard it. If Moore is on a mission to sway the public against our "fearless leader" then guess what, hes doing it and in the coming months when discussions on the film sky rocket, all of you "plants" will have your work cut out for you.

I feel pity for those of you who claim to deny ignorance, yet cast a scolding blind eye to that which you have yet to experience as you clammer to show your detest in sync as though your actually trying to chop down a monster.

Let me tell you something, the facts in this movie are non debabtable. Go see the damn movie before allowing the sludge built up within your systems to begin spewing out in any direction. To do this in the same breath as explaining your denial of ignorance is as slap in the face to real people with a genuine interest in the issues.

I'm willing to bet the haters on these forums are mostly republicans...

And finally, no, I'm not some kid, nor am I related to Michael Moore in any way. But keep trying to take your pot shots at me.

Michael Moore has done well in proving his contentions and as such is now doing very well because of it If you want to sput off at the mouth as you contest his claims, do so as he has, with facts. Otherwise, swallow that sludge that keeps popping up in your throats, shut up and smile.

Aaah great, someone let Freemason back to the boards.

How great it will be to read through nothing but garbage and insults by a man with a mouth bigger than his head.

Can't wait to read the B.S you start spewing all over the forums again.

One request though: Try to come up with some new insult for people as you try to make yourself look informed and all knowing. Your old insults are a bit played out.

kthxbye

ATSluvDruid, I've been here more than a year before you even came, in fact, I don't even know who the hell you are. So how the hell you know me is amazing. (No actually it isn't, I'm legendary. FreeMason is as much a part of ATS as much as it is the only forum really worth his time.)

I was let back for a specific reason, because behind my insults I actually know what I'm talking about and the Administrators and Moderators have trusted me not to fly off the handle again, mix that in with a bunch of politics between ATS and TSC and some other things (all that started before you even found this place) and you have the general reasons I and many others who were banned in that "time of darkness" are here again today. Just remember one thing before you go thinking you know me. People like me, and the several forum-generations before me built this place. I remember the celebration when ATS gained its 1,000th member. You are the what...10,000ths member? 5,000ths?

Oh wait, I was completely wrong. (I have the habbit of correcting my own mistakes also).

You are the 16728th member of this forum.

I am the 793rd.

I suggest in the future you just don't talk to such a superior.

And if you think superiority is in the quality of posts, not when someone joins, I suggest you read all my posts.

I wanted to save you from having to read the several thousands of them, and embarrassing yourself by having to see how much more I can contribute when I put my mind to it.

And this Fahrenheit forum is a good example, check out my thread about that "great review" if you want to make an issue out of facts.

I've had enough speaking to such a commoner. (Proudly turns-up his nose)

Up ATSluvdroid, that's what I am, a "stage clown".

Come and fight me then in that noble arena I call (the realm of facts).

I think that review thread I made creates an AWESOME platform for discussion.

I challenge you to be my first in that thread, where I can go head to head with someone on a factual basis.

Unless of course you are just full of hot-air and like your propoganda thick and steamy.
