The anthrax story died off in 2008 when Bruce Edwards Ivins commited suicide when he thought the FBI was going to arrest him. He was a microbiologist who worked at Ft Detrick. No charges were ever actually filed though and there wasn't actually any concrete evidence he was involved at all let alone part of a conspiracy.

This news report was heard once only, about one hour after the bombs went off , and never heard again.......

Just tried to find anything on this but nada - not even a story on the civilian crash. The oldest one I could find was 2004.

The other interesting thing about Killeen is that it is home to Fort Hood.

Back in the summer of 2001, I remember a story about monkeys that had caused wrecks on I-95 by throwing bananas and coconuts onto traffic. This was near Reston, Va.
They reported it on CNN and in my local newspapers Nation News Briefs. I found it fascinating that this went on a couple days trying to figure out where the monkeys came from. They had contacted zoos and circuses and private owners and no one had any missing monkeys. I always wondered where they got the bananas and coconuts.
Never heard anything more about the story.

The other story that disappeared and was very odd was the story of Jeddah, the dog who bent the heavy steel shipping crate of the airline before being loaded on. She ran apparently unseen down a runway and managed to
hide from hundreds of searchers.

The army guy owner was on his way to his assignment in...drumroll, Saudi Arabia.
He was allowed for no known reason to take his "pet" with him.
Then he was further allowed to delay his reporting for duty to find said missing "pet".

Which as far as I know, they never did. There was a website set up FindJeddah.com or something.
They gave really weird warnings about how to handle "sightings" of the dog.

I followed this story for weeks. My thoughts of course were Run, Jeddah, Run.
This dog was supposedly from North Carolina, but the dog ran seemingly also to the Reston, VA area.
It is a good distance from Reagan National.

Oh yeah, and then the very same week or the next, there was a woman aide who's car melted as it burned inside a garage, too. She died under very strange circumstances. I don't remember her name. She worked for a female congresswoman.

There was an incident a couple years ago....Washington DC, a guy led police on some sort of chase ( I can't remember what the first alleged crime was, but it was something weird), ends up crashed right outside the white house. They demanded he get out of car - he would not- so they tear gassed the crap out of him and he was impervious to it......? Seems like he was an old scientist guy??? What happened to him?!

Anyone else remember? Its making me crazy!!

Also recall some sort of vehicle events in both the UK and France where people disappeared from vehicles that crashed.....seems like like MI6 was investigating and made some strange comments as to what occurred.

Yes! I remember seeing video of him in the car, just sitting there, surrounded by tons of police & being bombarded by gas....

Weeks before the gulf oil spill the cnn ticker said that there was an threat to the US energy sector.

I remember seeing it. My friend remembers seeing it. His mom was so freaked out she went and made them all bug out bags.

Shortly after there was the oil spill.

What an awesome thread - how I wish I'd had ye several years ago whilst I was unemployed and BBC news 24 was my stimulus for the majority of the time, and repeatedly I would see a breaking news story only to have the story later confirmed to something much more publicly credible and digestible. Funny enough the original breaking news stories often sound more like the real truth and not the happy media truth.

Anyway, I don't have any big conspiratorial news to put here as of yet, but I'd like to share a news article I referenced in another post of mine which I've since tried to find evidence of online but can never find anything on it:

I read an article in a newspaper about 5 or 6 years ago, about a soldier who had apparently 'gone crazy' then AWOL from the army. He'd been telling people that there is a war coming, and this war will not be fought with guns but will be a war of minds.

I remember a news story from like almost 25 years ago, long before the internet. This was like, 1988 I think. Anyways, the story was about some unusual Chinese relative of the ginger plant curing AIDS in some people. It was highly toxic, and there were a couple of deaths from it, but more interestingly, there were a few people who had AIDS that were completely cured, all signs of the virus gone from their bodies. The story was broadcast for a few days, then it vanished. No explanation, nothing. Just like the story never happened. And this was pretty big news at the time, as this was around the height of the AIDS epidemic fears, AIDS was the big bad scary germ, and treatment was still very much in its infancy, the whole "AIDS Cocktail" not having been fully developed. AIDS was still a big killer then, with very low success rates on treatment, even lower availability. So naturally, there was major interest in the story at the time, like discovering a cure for all cancers.

Naturally, the disappearance of a major news event of this importance was, to say the least, odd. Like I said, no explanation, no retracting. Just gone, not a single peep from anyone or anything anywhere.

I know I watched it, but I can't find a Rick Sanchez segment in which he reads government talking points that were given to CNN by the government and then shows CNN anchors reading them verbatim.

I cannot remember the detail, but a foreign family , who I think , the mom and dad worked in some capacity for the CIA.... Some govt agency . They lived in DC, and they were under threat for some reason . feared for their lives, and tried to leave the country, but couldn't. They went to ask for help and protection at some local DC office, andthey still ended up murdered.
This was last year.
There was a cover story, that was also of note, but said nothing about this.
I just cannot remember the details.
It got no real media coverage, and just went away.
It sounded like they knew something, and we're killed for it

Hello All,

I am a long time reader at ATS but a brand new "member". I have just completed following the thread based on the Missing 411 books.

While researching some more information about it, I was curious about the locations of Clusters of missing people across the United States. I was able to find a "cluster map" based on these unsolved missing cases in the news.

When I saw it, I was immediately struck by the similarity to another map I had seen not but a few weeks ago in the news. It was a map of all plotted Bigfoot sightings across the United States since 1921. The similarity in maps is STUNNING!

I wanted to begin my own thread but for some reason, the button for that never took me to anything but nearly a blank page. So apologies if this is not in the right place. Any moderator that would like to assist, I would like this subject to have it's own thread please! Thank you. I also have a picture to upload but that does not seem to work either.. :-(
