Drone strike kills 8 Germans in northwest Pakistan

(Reuters) - A suspected U.S. drone strike killed eight militants of German nationality in northwest Pakistan on Monday, Pakistani intelligence officials said.

They died when two missiles from a suspected CIA pilotless aircraft struck a mosque in Mirali in North Waziristan, the officials added.

I wonder if there will be a stink about this from the German government?

What do you think? If people choose to run around with AKs and RPGs on a known battlefield they will be targeted. I wonder how closely this ties in with the recent threat levels in Europe on the rise?

The attack came a day after the United States and Britain warned of an increased risk of terrorist attacks in Europe. Western security officials said last week they believed a group in northern Pakistan were connected to a plot to stage attacks.

I see that these Germans are described as rebels right now. I bet something more will come out of this soon. My guess is that this is a Pakistani moll that has given false information to a CIA or SBS operative. I know SBS and CIA work close in Afghanistan. This might be a deliberate staged attack initiated by Pakistan to make the US hit their own allies.

This is just mu guess. Revenge is what this is.

Well, being millitant muslims, I'd say they earned it.............at least they get their ultimate reward, bet they are shocked. I seriously doubt that Germany will say something about a bunch of millitant muslims, that were in Pakistan learning how to kill more people.......it was probably gonne be an attack on German soil...........ah well, you Jihad and learn.

The US has to kill a bunch of Germans every 50 years, it is kind of a tradition. It has not been reported, but I bet they didn't look like Germans. They were renting the house, now I suppose I have to pay for it with my taxes. It seems like we could use a few inexpensive bullets instead of a half million dollar missile.

Yes, the first thing I noticed was how the media is bending over backwards to downplay the fact that they were jihadists there to get terrorism training. Instead we're supposed to be sorry about the poor Germans killed by the nasty CIA.

What I find interesting is that I think they knew exactly who they were and knew this may cause a firestorm over the fact that they were Europeans.

So you kill 8 jihadist....how many more will this create? Does anyone think you can stamp out an ideology/religion by killing a few militants? Eventually there will be troops in Pak then what?

If one of my family were killed by a drone, bomb, torture, etc, my revenge would be 10 fold and sweet.

And they know for a FACT that those germans were "terrorists" because ? Or is it convenient excuse by the u.s for killing german nationals by mistake... Oh .. Thats right u.s can kill anyone it likes as long as they say that they were a "terrorist" ... No trial.. No questions.. No valid reasons or justifications...

make no mistake either pakistan is a muslim country and the jihadists are radical islamists and thats where they all go.

Do you have pictures or any other information on the vacation resorts in the area where these people died?

Otherwise, why were they there?

I would suspect, after striking a Pakistani mosque and killing German nationals, the terror threat level across the globe has altered measurably. Up or down would require a guess I am uncomfortable making.

Something about the official story being presented doesn't feel right to me. I wonder really just how many German Muslims are radicalized enough to leave Germany & go take up arms in Afghanistan? But after seeing the numbers below, I realize that there is a larger Muslim population in Germany than I would have first guessed.

Ummmm..............o.k.? We knew they were there as a result of aan interogation if a known terrorist.............
I'd say that pretty much sums it up, play apologist and anti American all you want, but we do "ocassionally" kill the real bad guys, no matter what you may think.
