Engywook and his wife Urgl are a quarrelling pair of gnomes who lives close to the location of the Southern Oracle. Engywook is a research scientist who has studied the Southern Oracle and her three gates for most of his life, hoping to publish a book containing his research. However, he has never been to the Southern Oracle himself. Engywook is portrayed as a rather excitable and slightly proud old man. His wife Urgl often gets in his way while brewing potions in a large cauldron, most are for healing wounded people. The two often argue, Engywook referring to Urgl as "wench". Engywook can observe the Riddle Gate, also known as the Sphinxes, from his telescope on a hilltop overlooking the first gate.

When I read Stereologist's posts I'm reminded of the character Engywook from 'The Neverending Story". He just couldn't wrap his mind around the Southern Oracle, just as Stereologist or even the scientists that he faithfully relies on cant give definitive answers...

People seams to be looking at 2012 from a view point that does not coexist with the Mayan people.
I think the reason a lot of people don't understand the 2012 concept, is because they don't know what a calendar is.
The Gregorian calendar ends as well every year. The Gregorian calendar is about earth 365.2425 days rotation around the sun.
The Mayan Long count calendar ends on WINTER SOLSTICE December 21. 2012 . The Mayans long count calendar does not measure earth rotation around the sun. But how many years it is from one winter solstice to the next.
The Mayans knew exactly how many days and years it would be between each winter solstice. That is what the long count calendar is all about. It is not about the End Of The World. On December 21. 2012 the Mayan calendar will tell you exactly how many days and years it will be until the next winter solstice.

Um... there's only one year between each winter solstice.

Is the NWO supposed to occur before, after, or *on* Dec. 21. 2012? I actually have reason to believe the end won't come until 2017; the year the Bilderbergs plan on chipping the human race.

Yes, i know i should have been more accurate. This just say that most people dont have a clue about what 2012 is about.
The Mayans know that from one mid winter day to the next "A year" is exactly 365.2420358 days. 365.2425 Gregorian days.
The HAAB was initiated at 7.13.0.0.0 and 0 Yaxkin. This corresponded to the exact same midwinter day as it did 13.0.0.0.0 back in 3114 BC. So they knew that a solar cycle was more than 365 days when they built the HAAB.
The Mayans observed the Sun and the Dark Rift from a specific location in Mexico "Izapa". On the 7.13.0.0.0 The Mayans had observed that the Sun had passed through the exact same spot in the Dark Rift for the second time since 13.0.0.0.0 back in 3114 B.C
This is also how they were able to calculate a even more accurate year then the Gregorian calculation of how long a year is.
On December 21. 2012 from the same location in Mexico. The Mayans will know that the sun passes through the Dark Rift at the exact same location as it did in 13.0.0.0.0 and 7.13.0.0.0
Its a calendar that tels you exactly how long a solar year from one winter solstice to the next is.
If you wonder why it is so cold right now. It might be good to understand the Mayan solar calendar " The long count" Because they have it all plotted in.

Like I said, I am pretty sure he is here doing exactly what he's being paid to do. He isn't really clever enough to think of any new approaches so he just keeps repeating himself and what few points he thinks he's 'proven'. *shakes head* Pretty sad, really.
And lies.. well, I suppose we need to define what a 'lie' is. Something someone won't bother to prove to you isn't, in my opinion, a lie. An unsupported opinion, perhaps, but lie?? That is a huge leap most people won't make. Gee.. from the postings and the personal msgs I get, everyone must be too 'stupid' to recognize my lies... they all seem to think YOU are the one being dishonest, AND doing your best to manipulate us all.
The Mayans know that from one mid winter day to the next "A year" is exactly 365.2420358 days.
But that's why all these cities in the south american mountains were abandoned, but neatly. The star people were good tenents and made sure the place was clean before they left. And without their technology, the humans really couldn't live that well up there.
