What is and isn't natural, is an illusion of time...being gay is as natural as not being gay....Yes the core objective is to reproduce, were you get confused though is that, there is not right or wrong path to reproduction....at the end think of it like this nature is complex, and in the scope of things being designed for a certain thing in reproduction ie male or female, does not mean it will always be so....At the end its abouth survival in a habitat, so depending on that it does what logically works....not what you think should be working, or necessarily what worked in the past for the totality of a species ......

Wrong.....even if all the males woke up gay one day as you say.....humanity would not go extinct, the whole mating game though would change....it would just be something you do to produce an offspring, so males would stick with males, and female with females....till it came time to reproduce were by they would work out some sort of contract........even in ancient societies that were predominantly gay like some ancient greek ones....In sparta it started well and the men were encouraged to have a male lover...infact I think lycurgus the man who basically made sparta said that if you dont have a male lover you are not a good citizen, or something to that nature.....And at the end from what I read, there was a fracture in there society, were the spartan men eventually came to look at the women as baby making machines, something that is necessary, but you would want to spend time with one....infact there gay and the gay people of today are totally different.....its hard to explain, but they had no concept of being gay, as in kind of feminine gay like you see today...they were a whole different thing....If you have time look it up...Even many years after sparta fell and greece was taken over by rome, the social engineering was seen by people like cicero who said that when he went there, the kids were fighting in the streets like dogs over scraps, and that there males were physically better looking and atractive then the females.

like I said nature favors whoever can survive better, regardless of past function...And technological advances will blur the lines of sexual function.....to were its just for fun more then for survival...So there is no way to know for sure what technology entitles with the passage of time ...but you can get pretty good estimates.... Ultimatly I think it would come to individual preferences, regardless of gender.

Being gay isn't natural? Yet people are naturally born gay. Now there's a bit of simple logic to understand.

So everyone is flaming the OP because he doesn't understand? Isn't that the same thing that he has done? What is the difference in him not understand being gay and you not understand why he thinks that way?

Should anyone be giving him a hard time or would it be more progressive to help him understand what is actually going on with facts and statistics,... unless you can't?

you show potential. thus i will gamble humanities future on you albeit a small wager. No matter how much statistical data and evidence there is, sometimes people with bigoted views aren't so quick to change. Ignorance may be able to be cured by information, but sometimes objectivity isn't what is necessary. There might be a personal reason for why someone dislikes homosexuals. And that personal reason can be difficult to remedy.

He has not given a personal reason or any reason for us to believe that. He has clearly stated he doesn't understand and he has stated his opinion, which have been known to be changed given proper information.

Many people have jumped to the conclusion that this guy is saying or meaning something that was not in his Op and it makes me wonder if they are the ones who have the problem.

You're best evidence is an experience with your BABY?

And then you say we are put on earth to make babies and multiply...as if all the stuff in between is inconsequential or geared toward the end result of 'having babies'?

But would you readily detail a personal reason why you're against something? Sometimes personal things are personal for a reason.

I didn't exactly mean that the original poster was someone who would be too stubborn to change, but many people who claim that homosexuality is unnatural typically have a personal or religious reason for believing that. Not always, but a lot of the time.

Most people are right handed and I feel sort of freakish.

Luckily we live in a sane world that for the most part recognizes every unusual difference between us only enhances our beauty our uniqueness and our perfect individuality.

I have noticed in the past that people who are the most bothered about homosexuality are homosexual themselves and simply do not know how to deal with it. In an attempt to convince family members and friends who may not be very open minded people make up for the fact they are gay by speaking out against homosexuality even when no one is asking their opinion on it.
Look at the recent examples of politicians who speak very vocally against gay marriage and homosexuality and no sooner do they come out with the declaration than they are caught with a male prostitute.

OP...This is a safe place. No one is going to think any less of you.
