This isn't a conspiracy, just an unfounded theory. And not everything in the world is a conspiracy. Jesus, you people needd to relax. People pay to watch athletes the same reason they pay for a painting or a musician. They pay for the athletes talents. If you don't like sports, you just don't like sports. Also, if you try hard enough, you can find sex in just about anything. So, yes, this is stupid.
And here is more " Colloquially, a conspiracy theory is any unconventional theory about current or historical events, with the connotation that that theory is unfounded, outlandish, or irrational or in some way unworthy of serious consideration." www.wordiq.com...
See? It's a whole lot more than just what you said. All it has to be is unfounded and/or unconventional for it to fall under "conspiracy theory" and that is most definitely what I have created. Thank you for playing, and good day.

Actually you either deliberately ignored what I was saying or you just misunderstood.
I was pointing out situations in which you cross thresholds and insert things that do not occur in sports. They disprove your theory.
There is nothing in sports that makes it any more sexual than walking through a door.

You know with your parting statement of "Have a nice day" I thought that ment you didn't want me to continue pointing the holes out in your ridiculous hypothesis but it seems that I'll have to keep on embarassing you.
Could you please explain once again, for the jury, how sports are that important and that's because of your imagined symbolic association that sport has with sexual intercourse?
edit on 20/9/10 by Death_Kron because: (no reason given)

We make the sexual connections to each term used in sports, I'm pretty sure they didn't create sports or the terms as a metaphor or conspiracy, as you put it, for sexual intercourse.
It's just your perverted mind making these link.

Huh?
I play and follow sports because I enjoy them.
Playing has many benefits, like getting fit and it also gives me a good social life. In no way would I attribute the sport I play, to sex (Australian rules football, not that you americans know what it is, lol).
I also follow and play sports because I enjoy them, Oz. Playing gives me the same benefits as well. I do know what Aussie rules football is , though. I'm one of few Americans captivated by other cultures of the world. I have thought of Aussie rules football as one of the most badass , if not the most badass, sport on the planet for years now.
( I always thought you were cool , Oz, but knowing you play this game makes you even cooler in my mind :cool
Look, mate, it's not about why you play them consciously. My premise has to do with what sport symbolizes at the unconscious level.
I think I see what you are getting at. Those labelling this thread as childish should stop, he's not attacking or hurting anyone, he's just putting a theory forward. Half of you guys put crack pot theories up here anyway....so why's this childish?
It is a pretty badass sport, we dont wear padding, and we do hit pretty hard when there's contact. Unfortunantly I had to miss this season due to a serious shoulder injury, and it looks like next season is a no-go as well
Ah well, see the surgeon in November, and will see what he can do. He does the proffesional teams, so hopefully he can get me back into it sooner

When I played sports, sex was not on my mind. Beating the competition was. If you are thinking about vaginas when someone slides into home plate, I don't think it is the sport with the sexual issues. However, you do get a point for a very humorous thread. Maybe sports is just your porn.

yes well this is all fine and good but it is not a conspiracy. It might be an interesting coincidence or something planned but either way it is merely a matter of trivia if true and nothing if false. Please reconsider using the word conspiracy if no crime of any sort is committed .

Come on guys.....womens roller derby.....any conspiracy there?
I'd like to see the sexually penetrating conspiracy theory for that sport.

Dictionary.com wasn't good enough for you? What you supplied was a history of the word if anyithing. And is this game we're playing sexual too?
Instead of interpreting sport and war in terms of sex, it might be better to interpret sport and sex in terms of war.
