This is my first thread on the Board....so hopefully it booms...

I have yet to see a thread for this so i thought i might start one, it is for those who support Glenn Beck and the various "movements" he has started...

I would like to hear from those who especially followed the Rally....either went or watched it on tv/facebook....

Like he said the Rally was just the "starting point" it starts and ends with us... the message that Glenn is putting out is the our message

Please no bashing.... i wish this to be an uplifting thread

If you wanted an uplifting and flame-free thread, you might have considered not putting the words "Glenn" and "Beck" in the title!

Aside from that...

I admire Glenn Beck as an entertainer who has amassed a pretty strong following and fortune. But I disagree with just about ever word he speaks.

ETA: Forgot to say... Glenn Beck differences aside - Good luck with your first thread!

This might sound far fetched. But I see a split in the Republican party. I don't know how much the Republican party has authority over the Tea party and that votes can be shared if the two groups ran in an election for office.
news.yahoo.com...
After reading the article I linked I can feel the future 2012 election is going to be like the 1912 election. We would just have to wait and see what happens.

Glen Beck reminds me of a gopher with down syndrome trying to explain the workings of a nuclear reactor when someone asks "how's the weather?" Seriously though I'm not sure whats more disturbing, that people listen to him, or that he is actually given a show.

I didn't see the rally. But I have seen reviews from both sides of the political fence. Seems both sides agree the Tea party is more of a Christian conservative movement.

As it happens I did watch some of it. Thus my comment about not agreeing with a word the man speaks.

ATS is going to get you replies that agree with yours, disagree with yours, or fall somewhere inbetween. Asking for it to be otherwise just isn't in the format.

And that's what makes ATS an interesting place!

Glenn beck freed the slaves and singlehandedly created equality in the USA for the negro americans, but martin luther king, a liberal progressive socialist democrat from kenya, payed off the activist judges and liberal progressive socialist communist history-book monopoly to re-write the revisionist history books taht our children are taught in school. Such things like the earth being 5 billion years old when it's only 5000 (woops, they accidently added a few 2 many zeros didn't they!).

Glenn for president!

Out of curiosity, what is it about Beck that draws you to him? I realize that he must speak for some of the things that you believe in. I don't mind people having differing opinions but I just can't understand why someone would want Glenn Beck to be a spokesperson for anything that they believe in. He just oozes slime and dishonesty and I feel genuine sympathy for the people that believe in him.

Or should I be looking more at your avatar than the content of your first post and not take this seriously?

I think this was actually more than just the Tea Party movement....or Michelle Bachman would have been a clear choice to have as speaker...

Not saying it didn't encompass the Tea Partiers and the 9/12'ers but it was more, it seemed like a bigger event ....bigger call the movements seemed to embrace various political motivations.... this not political....

meh.

ATS = "All The Same"

Left-liberal "new" media. Expect to be crowded off the board by people scrutinizing your viewpoint, or even mentioning an alternative to the official version. You'll get even less mileage from a thread that directly critiques the doctrines of the dear leader-in-chief.

The site is open speech, but the members toe the party line.

There is nothing "uplifting" to say about Glenn Beck and his neo-christian followers are no better than radical Islamists. Glenn Beck is the worst thing that this nation has experienced since Polio. It would be nice if we could develop a vaccine to cure the sheeple who follow him into blind ignorance.

Lesson 1; If you're looking to create a non-controversial or uplifting thread on ATS, you might consider choosing a subject other than Beck.

Oh yeah, welcome to ATS.

To me it does seem Tea party's are starting to have influence in conservative politics. It's a contradiction to say this movement is not political then after having a republican win office saying the Tea party had influence with the campaign.

What I hear when I listen to Glenn Beck is that we don't want you if your not a Christian. It goes against everything the Constitution stands for. Alex Jones is the same way. They alienate a large percentage of Americans.I don't see the Tea Party doing anything except fizzling out. Fundamentalists Christian groups want to instill one religion, theirs. Not much different than Islamic Religion.

I used to like Beck back when he was still funny in the early 00's. Moron Trivia and Jep-retardy and the great conversations between him and Stu.

Now I can't stand the guy. He fell off the edge if insanity. It's all 'coming darkness' and religious garbage.

He seems to have a great talent for making stupid people feel smart though. So he'll fit right into politics well. That's pretty much all politics is anymore. A way for stupid people to feel smart. Like the folks watching "This Week" on Sunday morning are any better than the folks watching TMZ Friday afternoon. It's all the same fluff and trash. The only real difference is the guests on "This Week" have the power to rape, steal and murder.

^ This.

What people don't seem to realize is that glenn beck is a visionary. He is trying to save us from obama socialism, and if you think what he says runs counter to what everyone else is saying, it's because everyone else is a LIAR.

The only person capable of telling the truth on the news is Glenn Beck. The rest of you a mindless zombies who only pay attention to the dear leader, and would never consider listening to alternative choices -- like Glenn Beck.
