yep the "Israel"/"Elect"/"Chosen" of God has always been those of Faith in him...

there would be a lot less division in the Body of Christ if more could wrap their arms around this....

The Gospel of Glenn Beck

You know… I… I’d really like to share with you a personal story from today, but I can’t, because it puts my family in danger. Do you think I want to get on the air every night and tell you this stuff? The media will say "he’s just a clown." Well you know what, I am a clown. I am a guy who just…I just want to have laughs and fun, I’m a capitalist, I want to make money, all that stuff. I want to live my life with my family. I don’t want to have to live with security, and walls, and gates, and everything else. Do you think I want to live that way? Maybe there are some people like that. That ain't me. That is not me. I don’t want to believe these things, but unfortunately I find them true.

They can take my job and they can take my wealth but that’s okay….even if the powers to be, right now, succeed in making me poor, drum me out, and I’m just a worthless loser… which I’m just about that much above that now… I will only be stronger for it.

You ever see those movies where they say, “I gave a note to my attorney, and if I’m found dead, open the note.” I kind of feel like you’re my attorney. If I show up, you know, in Thailand, dead from auto-erotic asphyxiation, don’t believe it. If I’m ever in a weird car accident, or I commit suicide or something, after the media stops celebrating my death, could they check into it? Because I’m not suicidal. And I’m a pretty good driver.

I fear that there will come a time when I cannot say things that I am currently saying. I fear that it will come to television and to radio, and I will stop saying these things. Understand me clearly. Hear me now. If I ever stop saying these things, you will know why.

Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not covet. I want what they have. And for those who say somehow or another that I am distorting the socialist view of social justice, oh my goodness. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy brother. Holy cow. You’ve broken three commandments. Three of them. Three of them all on one principle. That’s amazing. And for those of you in the administration who are coming after me on this one, I mean, remember, you’ve broken three, let’s not make it four. Thou shalt not kill.

I have never seen such a persecution complex among someone who convinced himself he was a religious leader. Well, there was someone else...

Again, you seem to be trying to persuade some Christians that Mr. Becks religion is heretical. And that the entire Mormon faith is little more than Christian heresy. I doubt if many Christians will buy into your argument.

The delinking of the Trinity into three separate individual parts is both crazy, as well as volatile. It's the first step to arranging the three in a hierarchical way so as to proclaim some of the Trinity being more important or powerful than the others.

From a theological point of view, delinking the Logos from the Trinity is quite heretical. You might as well try to argue that God is capable of ignoring Logic, when something like Pathos or Ethos might work better.

It's for these reasons that I often say that Mormons are Christians on their way back to Judaism.

You got down on the niece of MLK because she is against the murder of unborn children. Abortion in this country is racist in origin and in nature. Yet you support it. Hon ... YOU have drank the 'it's really freedom of choice and not racist murder' kool-aid.

Abortion is black genocide

No, as far as I can see, there isn't......Hello XYZ,..... always happy to shoot the s*** with you my friend.

I've done a little research into this matter and I have found that as usual, the progressive left is once again spearheading an effort to silence their opposition by trying to seize control and regulation of the Internet.

As it turns out, Robert W. McChesney, an avowed Marxist and Communist, along with his organization, Free Press,....lol, are the ones who are trying to change "net neutrality" in order to silence those who are opposed to his radical Communist agenda, essentially changing the current freedom that we enjoy here today on ATS, and on the Internet at large.

Below are some quotes and links that you might want to check out for yourself.

After Comcast's blocking [of BitTorrent] was exposed, the F.C.C. told Comcast to stop discriminating against BitTorrent traffic and in 2008 issued broader rules for the industry regarding "net neutrality," the principle that all Internet content should be treated equally by network providers. Comcast challenged the F.C.C.'s authority to issue such rules and argued that its throttling of BitTorrent was necessary to ensure that a few customers did not unfairly hog the capacity of the network, slowing down Internet access for all of its customers.

boingboing.net...

Free Press was founded by Robert McChesney, an avowed Marxist who is Washington’s leading advocate of so-called network neutrality regulations who recently argued—on a Web site called SocialistProject.ca—that this type of Internet regulation is a prerequisite for a socialist revolution: “Instead of waiting for the revolution to happen, we learned that unless you make significant changes in the media, it will be vastly more difficult to have a revolution.”

Not OK for one Christian belief to slam another Christian belief.

But - slamming Atheists is OK - - because they don't have the Holy Spirit with them.

Okkkkkkkkkkkaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy

Hello Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

If it's considered a slam to merely state a fact, then the whole world's a slam I suppose. The Holy Spirit allows us to relate, and leads us, to Christ.
If a person resists the Holy Spirit, or chooses not to believe in Christ, the Spirit will no longer be able to enlighten its host.

I was raised (make that assimilated) Christian - - like many in this country. I also spent 5 years as a Mormon.

I know the spiel.

By my own choice - not assimilation - I am now a Spiritual Humanist.

Hey, Beck just said those very same words on his show tonight. You're not a closet Glen Beck watcher are you XYZ?....lol

A persons faith will not necessarily solve our economic problems like you say. But it can anchor a person to a moral center that will allow them to make the good and right scientifically based decisions that will not only improve our economy, but society and civilization as a whole.

edited to add...actually, Glen said that India, Russia, and Germany were freer than we are, in terms of their economies.

Look, you have to ask yourself one question when it comes to net neutrality:

Do I want the ISPs to be able to limit bandwidth and discriminate certain websites or not?

If the question is yes, then you are clearly against net neutrality. If the answer is no, you are FOR net neutrality.

Last I checked, I don't want any corporation to infringe on anyone's rights on the Internet. If they can control traffic, they can also control access to certain information.

Net neutrality is EXACTLY the opposite of what Beck says it is. Read up on it and you'll realize that.

And your Marxists/Communist comments are ridiculous. You're buying into Beck fear mongering...and net neutrality has NOTHING to do with communism or marxism. It's just Beck's way of selling his agenda...which is either really stupid, or based on the fact that he's in the pocket of big business.

And if you believe Beck never lied, look into the gold scandal and then come back and say he didn't lie! He told people to buy gold as an investment at prices that require a 65% (!!!!) price increase before they even break even. From an investment standpoint, this is beyond ridiculous and him saying it's a good investment is a lie! Why did he claim that? Easy, he got paid to say it...which again shows he mostly cares about one thing, money. Even if it costs others money.

LoL you guys keep coming up with this, as if it were some world ending thing, or if he slept with a white house intern......

He advertises for a company that pays him.......so what? He also tells people that gold ISNT FOR EVERYONE, do their research and see if its right for them......doesnt sound like someone trying to CON anyone....

What happen was Weiner came on and tried to slander Beck on the gold thing......

This is the MOST TRIVIAL thing you guys can come up with and it shows your desperation because youve latched onto it like its youre life jacket on a sinking ship......

Well part of you is right...........the whole liberal ship.......is sinking.......

Don't get me wrong - there is a lot I like about the Mormon organization. I really wish I could find an organization to belong to like it - - without the religion.

However - - Yes they are very Success & Money oriented. They are definitely NOT a religion that believes in poverty.

They are very very Right Wing.

Hey mother, just slip across the border into Mexico! If you don't need a visa to get in, you shouldn't have to need one getting out. A descently educated sane person like yourself should have no trouble at all finding a job south of the border, IMO.

If it means that I wont have to revert to dial up speed, yes. As long as they regulate quantity, and not quality, which Comcast has already been doing since they won the lawsuit against the FCC.

Thanks brother.

It's amazing how they go after his religion in order to try to divide Christians. Shameful. I think that any informative person who is willing to check out the facts and come to their own conclusions will see through the facade.

The loons are out in force on your first thread.....lol.
