I think the "war" started with the never ending race bating and charges of racism both from the white house and the media. The charge of racism is one of the worst there is and the media has over done it to the point guys like Breitbart feel the need to respond.

Shirley Sherrod and the Racism Arms Race


I wrote yesterday that cries of racism without just cause and serious proof are damaging to the falsely accused, the political process, race relations, and those who suffer from actual racism. I was talking mostly about the left's cynical and frequent use of "racism" accusations to marginalize political opponents at the time, but the same applies to unfounded accusations of racism from Glenn Beck and Andrew Breitbart.

The solution to the left's frequent playing of the race card is not for the right to start a racism accusation arms race. We don't need more accusations flying around with flimsy evidence. We need far more consideration before flinging them, on all sides.

Forget about all the baggage Glenn Beck has. I think he's funny and entertaining, but the uncle you steered your kids away from at the family picnic.

The very thought that the White House or even any national politician is afraid of a news organization or a news commentator from any news organization; should be waving a huge flag about other issues and what are they hiding or doing.

This isn't normal behavior for any national leader regardless of how you feel about our Prez. Something is seriously wrong.

Even ATS is falling to right vs left rhetoric and garbage.
The same people control all the major media organizations, they just want you to get mad at each other now, either as a distraction or something else.

That's a great point from the Weekly Standard. But they should take their own advice and check their facts first as it pertains to the Beck thing.


There's a reason I chose to use the "Race Card" as my avatar. My point was to let people know that racism is real, but real racism is being ignored for propagandized race baiting.

I feel for this lady. And for Beck. Everyone is throwing them under the bus over NOTHING.

Reverse racism doesn't exist at least that is what I have seen on this site All the organizations that exist for "equality" do so at the expense of the rights of others. Simple cause and affect. I'm sorry but this constant focus on race is just misdirection from the real issues. Why are there always shortages of the "pet" minorities in say scientific fields? Is it because the "white man" is keeping them down or is it because of a underlying problem with the minorities in question? Like a lack of interest in the fields? The only real equality is in oppression and death.

Andrew Breitbart and Fox News are coming under criticism by journalism observers and news ethicists for posting a video clip of former Agriculture Department Director Shirley Sherrod out of context, and without seeking her comment.

Breitbert, who first posted the clip Monday at his BigGovernment.com site, has been under scrutiny after it was revealed the clip misrepresented Sherrod's message during a speech in March before a group of NAACP members.

Fox then posted the clip as well. Neither one sought comment from Sherrod prior to reporting it. She was forced to resign on Monday

Utter and total crap. Beck didn't even air the footage that night and Sharrod was fired long before O'reilly did. Why doesn't this article mention MSNBC's morning Joe airing the footage?

Answer, because its yet another political propaganda piece trying to capitalize on this story.

EDIT: Also, MM is a left wing propaganda machine started by Soros and Hillary Clinton. Its hilarious how the media completely covers this fact up and portrays them as an objective media watch dog.

You are yet another person that didnt investigate what really happened.

At the risk of repeating my previous posts, why dont you scroll back and find out what really happened.......or better yet, why dont you YOUTUBE the video of beck when he was going over this in yesterdays show....

This just proves that people like the OP and the ones who are foaming at the mouth over this, are more concerned with "getting" someone then finding out what the facts really are......

I dont mean to sound confrontational, but this really gets to me when people make wild accusations without research........

When was the last time the NAACP didn't give someone the benefit of the doubt right away?

This much I can say, if she was simply relating an anecdotal story from 1986 to make a point about how her racial perceptions have changed, give her back her job.

Something is definitely wrong here. Yes, the Obama administration has a history of acting without all the facts:

RESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: I think it's fair to say number one, that any of us would be angry. Number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home.

And they appear to have done the same thing to Shirley Sherrod that they did to that police officer.

How and why would you force the resignation of someone who is just relating a story of 24-year-old incident to make a point? How many times when a controversy comes up have we heard that someone was "misquoted" or they "misspoke" or we're told that "the only point they were simply making was that..." and then some point that bears no resemblance to the one they made; or they were just "taken out of context?"

Now here's a possible actual example of someone taken completely out of context and they immediately get rid of her.

All during the Jeremiah Wright fiasco with then-presidential candidate Barack Obama, still a member of his church, we continually heard, you're smearing the poor man with sound bites! You're taking him out of context! Until finally we discovered that the only context for Reverend Wright was anti-American racism.

Well whoever at Fox who posted the clip. And Joe and whoever else did too. They all have a responsibility. THEY FAILED.

And we don't have to take their bee-ess. No intelligent person would.

And maybe you should pay attention to what actually transpired that day instead of taking some article's word for it.

I watch GB and listen to his radio show. He never wronged or placed any judgment on her. He continued to point out that he wanted the entire context and was going to have Sherrod on his show to go over that context.

But again, truth does not matter as you will continue to spew the baseless rhetoric this WH and their Media Lap Dogs want you to spew.

But again, truth is also present when Breitbart was on CNN with John King, and there is video proof with a date/time stamp of him repeating that he was clearly trying to illustrate the blatant racism exhibited by the crowd and their cheers.

Glenn Beck has made me a better man.

If you think he is racist, than you dont know him!
