I think the cipher is intended to be more fun than secure.

Why do people bother to post using "fun" ciphers? If it's a simple one to break (I don't know, but that's the implication), then the only use for it is to make things more exciting. Smells like a drama queen.

Cant hear him properly but his messege is good! However i doubt hes hacked that many facebooks account, probably only a few!

Didn't watch the video yet, but I know exactly what the Laughing Man is. It's from the amazing Anime show Ghost In The Shell.

i realise this wont make much a difference to most of the people comparing this to v for vendetta, but the laughing man in ghost in the shell was around for 2 years before v for vendetta even came to theaters. their approaches to revolutionary ideas are markedly different.

Yeah, Ghost In The Shell is a fantastic anime, but V For Vendetta is actually an Alan Moore comic from the 1980's. Ghost In The Shell originated in the early "90's, and the Laughing Man didn't even appear until the 2000's.

Just thought I'd point out that V is older than Ghost.

I cant even get through the video without being bored out of my mind! I have tried watching it like 3 times. lol Anndddd i cant hear alot of what he's even saying.

Drama queen? The only purpose? You're breaking my heart. Between the talk of the laughing man being a PSYOP and axe-handle-attitude-adjustments, I can tell that you guys are a skeptical bunch.

Of course I think it's fun, but there are not many things that I do that have only a single purpose. To clarify what I said earlier, this is a homebrew cipher, so certainly there are computer programs that can break it. However, if a person were clever enough to crack it on his own . . . well, I would be very impressed.

I agree. Gaining info is one thing, doing something is entirely another.
I don't do anything because i don't care enough too. The world is a big place with lots of people who disagree cause they can and i prefer to not have anything to do with that kind of drama.

Im not a good example of a person who stands up for their beliefs, but i am sure im in the majority.

I added this guy www.facebook.com... on FB and the first thing he did was like the Laughing Man vid that I've posted and I asked if it was him and he said this
