2 Years old? Where has it been said that the video is 2 years old? All that I have seen is that it is 2 months old (from the youtube posting date). Please correct me if I am wrong.

Anyways, the question still stands.. Can we find anyone who actually got their facebook account hacked by this guy?

Don't get me wrong, i love the message, as you can see by my page 3 reply, but, did he actually hack anything?

Yeah i had the same concerns on whether he actually hacked anyone or not when i was questioning the scope of the hacking. But i don't think it's too hard to believe he got a few people's Facebook pages and posted the video.

Hell, even i could keylog my younger brother's account and get his friends' accounts with a cookie grabber.

But yes, some real evidence of the hacking would be nice. My guess, he's getting more exposure from going viral like this than the actual "hacking".

Nope, in my books...opening a secure fb account is a 5-10 min process no real quantum mathematics required. In fact, i regularly do the process for various reasons, oh yes, by him doing what his doing, simply do not be surprised when the face is planted across the web.

Remember anything digital leaves a digital finger print. You can run but you cant hide.

As far as i am concerned someone else may have easily hijacked my account thus making the post in reference null and void, besides that, if action was to be taken against myself, i assure you it would not go beyond the police file report, it has been tried and failed in the past.

Didnt read all 11 pages but I saw one/a few people say they think they may know him...well...is he ghostly white with dark hair parted in the middle? Cuz it looks like he didnt cover his entire head with this image...

I find this interesting because there seems to be a pop icon status associated with this The Laughing Man.

Back in the early 2000's a guy called The laughing Man using the same blue cap avatar made some mods for a game called Uplink: Hacker Elite which was a hacking simulation pc game.

I am on a PC tech forum with a guy called The Laughing Man using that same avatar. I wonder if he is the same guy.

Of course, many people could adopt the name and avatar, but I think this guy who made the Uplink game mods was probably the first because that was so long ago.

This hacker has done what i believe many of us here at ATS would wish to do: tell/warn people of the impending doom that our (US)government has set upon us.

Sooooooo glad that someone beat me to this. I've been on and off as a member of www.hackthissite.org and all with the hopes of someday using some high tech hacking to bust up people's social network...well over the past years, probly do somethin similar. I haven't been able to find this video anywhere though. any one have another link? i keep getting 'an error has occured please try again later'

You think this silly manifesto is important? You should have been with those of us who defied the NSA and the Clinton administration when they tried to deny us citizens strong encryption methods in the late 90's just so they'd have an easier time of playing Big Brother and reading our emails.

I don't think that comparison is quite fair. Sure it's defacing one's property, except one you didn't pay for and can be solved with one click. While the other would take a few days of painting and real money. I'm not approving hacking people's pages, but to try and compare it to vandalizing someone's house...

i think i know who laughing man is but the thing is i can't put his name up just in case law enforcement is keeping an eye on ATS. But it was the shirt and tie that got me thinking it's who i think it is. Laughing man also, i think, has other videos on you tube under a more familiar name which again i cannot say due to the possibility of big brother watching. And if it is whom i assume it to be then my hat is off to you sir. Your doing your country proud.

What annoying drivel. I found it difficult to make it through the whole vid. The message (if there is one) is lost in the presentation - the voice distortion, the face overlay, etc.

It's designed to be propaganda that rebukes propaganda - ignore their version of truth and listen to mine!

Might have a been more successful if the creator used a little more satire?
