I can prove creationist are afraid to even go anywhere near logic. Watch.

You do not believe in evolution. You have not done anything to prove any creator exists. So, you are presenting a false choice and then claiming that your set of options proves something.

Ta Dah!

Well ED, I've been following your cool little thread here, that seems to have some emotions running a bit high. I flagged it right off, now I've
stared and may as well chime. I think you absolutly have shown with
this illustration. That while illogical reasoning does run deeper, the
closer we look at it. I don't believe you have shown it is actually bsaed on illogical reasoning. That's just IMO.

As I said I SnF the thread. I think it is quite significant and you are as close as any one can be to dispelling. Put a book together, I would say.

Randyvs

Here we have a perfect illustratration of blind ignorance undeniable.

There was a man called god in a empty, black universe. Then he came and sniped with his finger. Light was there and planets. And then he made animals, girls and boys on only this planet in the whole universe. After a while he became a long white beard and wrote a book on wooden paper, this is because he invented trees, so he can write a bible. That he snapped again with his fingers and made us bad. THANKS DADDY!

Although I am a proponent of the scientific method, I think mankind vastly overestimates his own intelligence.

Our 'science' can't come up with a unified field theory despite having our 'best' minds working on it for how long? We haven't traveled beyond our own moon (and even that is in debate by some).

Physicists speculate on the number of extra dimensions in the universe, but haven't been able to pin down how many there are. Cancer? Still waiting for a cure on that.

We still use primitive rocketry to launch ourselves into space. Haven't solved world hunger yet. Haven't cured AIDS yet.

Now, I am by no means anti-science.

I will not however, dismiss out of hand the possibility of a designer of mankind. Be it god or some advanced alien race, perhaps long gone by now.

People often say "Well, if alien life is visiting us, why don't they reveal themselves to us?"

I think they must be like humans watching a dog chase it's own tail and laughing about it.

As much as it may bother some to say, I suspect humanity is NOT the epitome of intelligence in this universe.....

Erm... having different genetic makeup than the parents is pretty much the point of sexual reproduction. My mum and dad claim to be the parents of me, as well as of my brothers and sisters (Wasn't there, can only take their word for it) yet, funny enough all of us look different. And its not just the haircut. Different hands, facial features, feet, skin, hair etc...

Google "speciation" We have observed it for short lived species (Makes it easier to observe, since there are more generations in timespan x.)

Ever heard of this religious nutter?
en.wikipedia.org...

No, you are not of a profoundly different genetic compostion than your parents. Your hands look like hands and your hair is human hair. Now if your parents had given birth to say a cocker spaniel your argument would hold some weight.

(If you want to debate please be serious. I think you deserve respect and I think I deserve respect so, please, let's respect each other.)

I will not google speciation. If you know what you are talking about you should be able to give me a specific reference.

Here is a good place to start. I will expect a well thought out god inspired refutation. Live Evolution Witnessed in Controlled...

Then you can check out Birth of a new species witnessed

Which more addresses the issue you seem to be confused about in having different genetic makeup from your progenitors.

"Evolutionists" vs "Creationists" - it just doesnt stop, does it?

I am not anti science. I am anti dogma and there is a lot of dogma in science.

Plus: Humans are flawed. We are all subject to emotional/mental problems as well as stupidity. Since we are flawed any of our products (such as science) is likely to be flawed.

Courage is more important than brains and kindness is more important than courage. If people ever do solve there problems it won't be because we are so smart but because of good heartedness.

I have two questions that I have wanted to get input on.

#1 If they say we evolved from apes why are there still apes, etc. on this planet, and what did the apes that now exist evolve from?

#2 Which came first the chicken or the egg?

I was watching the Sc Ch. a few days ago, they were talking about DNA, what they were saying was within the DNA we have old instructions imprinted within it which can tell the story of our evolution, DNA part in which we do not use. What was interesting was when they were discussing certain aspects of this they admitted they do not know how all of it was put together to create a living organism, which would have to be in place all at the same time to make it work.

I could go on but I think this is enough to start with.

That's right Sky. Do you think the audience is aware, they are the trophy?

Edit to cap Sky

Shadow
The theory says we share a common ancestor without showing that
ancestor. It is not that the Apes are our ancestors.
How odd that they believe evolution is a fact, without that ancestor.
Don't you think?

No one says that.

Dunno.

I hope that helps. I would go into it more but this has already been covered in this very thread.

I'll have to go back and study the thread then.

So has no one really caught on to what the op was doing in this post. He's simply using the same type of reasoning the believers in evolution use to prove their point. Both of them take pictures of two different things that look similar and state their case as evolved or created. The op was simply showing that the reasoning that is used as proof as evolution is illogical because you're just looking at two things without the evidence of evolution or creation.

So you would understand a similarly themed thread about creationists with just one picture - a dog looking at a laptop. Pointing out that creationists have no idea so they just make a magic guy that did it and that is the beginning, middle, and end of that process.

I read the first link. I will read the second. I need to think about it for a while. I thought your comment was snarky. I am not religious. I have no faith in anything except that which I can prove to myself. You seem quick to jump to conclusions.

Well let me apologize then. I hope you will read the links with an open mind despite the snarkiness. I have no idea why I thought you might be religious, Deuteronomy 23:13. Obviously my error in assuming you might be religious, Deuteronomy 23:13.

Never said a magic guy in the sky did it. You put words in my mouth that never came out. I'm just saying that evolution is as much as a fabrication as creationism. We've yet to record a species evolving into another species.

S&F OP.

I hear where your coming from.Nice thread.very "commonsensical".anyone comparing those things side by side and not seeing,,,if nothing else,,,, "mimmicking"on the part of man, simply isnt looking.anyone thinking we are a naturally occuring organism,,, is in my opinion,,,ignorant

based on quantum physics, matter acts as a wave when not observed.when observed, it "snaps into place"
So who observed the universe?

our whole planet is a zoo. we have an atmosphere to support us(ozone layer) and a fence to keep us in(van allen radiation belts,,,2 infact!!!)

all naturally occuring?

I just posted a link.

Please take some time and read about it. You can also find recorded species changes in lizards and fish. Google is your friend.

Of course, people like me need to look up what it says in Deuteronomy 23:12

Designate a place outside the camp where you can go to relieve yourself.

Ah, ok.

I'd like to apologize if I was a bit snarky.
Thing is, what you said has not been observed, has been observed on numerous occassions. You want me to give you a specific example?
en.wikipedia.org...

And if you read the article on the bacteria, note how many generations they were observing:
300
With humans that would be around 6000 years. even for dogs it would still be 900, and we managed to breed those into quite a variety of different animals than wolves.
