i confess i contribute posts that are meant to annoy some people. to attempt to focus on their own intollerances, in most cases.

i do opologize for this and am constantly improving to make a better effort to make less annoying posts.

it can be a frustrating topic to discuss, people feel passionate, i realize this.

sometimes words can be used as tools to assault the unthinking, (at least unthinking concerning the topics being discussed, perhaps they have just been thinking about their other priorities that life throws at them).

i forget who said that, but it has been said by someone before:
"words are meant to be an assault on the unthinking"
or something near to that effect.

Aliens on the other hand are a totally different subject. Aliens are, if they exist, a physical entities. For them we could find physical evidence. Something that we can all see and touch.

No they don't, see you are wrong from the very outset, people who are born blind don;t . Plus, if you actually ask around you will find many people who claim never to have had a dream, that they remember, in their whole life. So where is your proof that they *exist*?

It is purely anecdotal, but you accept that for dreams, that's fine, for UFO's, whatever they might be, it isn't? You see the double standard there? Just as people will claim to have dreams tonight, people will see UFOs and have since human kind began. There isn't, in the *absolute* proof stakes, an iota of difference.

Is there irrefutable proof that alien life forms exist and occasionly visit us? No. But then you already knew that, because if such proof existed and was readily availble to average joes like us then the whole world would know about because it would've been the most significant discovery in mankinds history.

The question should be is there enough evidence for us to assume that we have been visited by alien life forms? In my opinion, yes. Just my opinion though, and everyone is entitled to their own.

I think alot of people on this forum has seen something unexplained for themselves and therefore has no question about that UFO's are real, in the sense that they are either extra terrestrial or part government black operations projects. And I think that for these people (including myself) there is no need for any more persuasion that this phenomena is real. At this time you will not find unqestionable hard evidence, for now you will have to have the experience of witnessing this for yourself to become a firm believer - at least in your case I think this is required.

Furthermore - absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. A nice quote from the late Carl Sagan, and it's something to ponder about. But I guess sometimes belief just has to suffice. Nonetheless, there are cases that remains unexplained and points in the direction of extra terrestrials due to the fantastic abilities some of the UFOs displays. And some of these cases are put under scrutiny to try and verify its authenticity so we can move closer to present undeniable proof.

I'm a believer too actually. But a dissapointed one. So dissapointed that I became a hardcore skeptic.
I've had enough with all the hoaxes and the eyewitness stories. I want some real proof. All that we have right now hasn't gotten us anywhere.
I've become very frustrated from reading and seeing hoaxes that I've started posting inflammatory posts here. And I can't help it. I just want real proof..

If for example someone very powerful really is in contact with the ETs then I'm 100% that he is not afraid of anything that the UFO researchers have discovered so far. If that powerful person or a group exists then we need real physical evidence not stories to get the whole world accept aliens as a fact.

And the latter is what our ultimate goal is.

Instead of pursuing that goal we are having believers vs skeptics matches on ATS.

Btw: Has anyone counted how many times the aliens were gonna reveal themself? Or how many times we were on a verge of imminent disclosure? Or how many times the world was about to end? And how many people keep falling for all of that?

Not all people that believe in alien visitation/UFOs do so because they saw a picture of Bush shaking hands with a "grey" on some obscure UFO watchers website. The whole reason I found this forum is because I saw a UFO myself. Just because 99% of the pictures you have come across are fake doesn't mean that all of them are. There are pleanty of "UFO pics" that can't be explained by fakery or misidentification.

Keep an eye on the sky OP, I look forward to your post retracting everything you just said about UFOs.

Here are some primary source 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind'-accounts (i.e. people seeing/meeting the beings) that I find very credible. One is from 62 schoolchildren in Zimbabwe in 1994. The other from two middle aged people (1976). And the last is a very detailed account by a mother of two (experienced in 1954).

I agree with you to some extent. If I didn't see dreams I'd be a bit skeptical too. But we can monitor brains during sleep and we do see hightened brain activity during dreams. And that isn't blurry.

Why are people getting so angry?

OP is right we have literally no complete proof, yet we put the pieces together, discard the BS (well some of us do) and have formed are own educated opinion of UFO's. I personally believe that they have visited us at least once, however I deem 90% if UFOlogy to be BS, the 10% is what I have faith in.

Come on folks, we're just giving this guy what he wants. Lets just ignore him and like most annoying pests I am to believe he will go away. He's either obviously a pre-teen(due to his use of grammar and spelling) looking to anger everyone on the internet he comes in contact with, I was one once too so I know how that goes, or he's obviously uninformed to the nth degree. The more we give in, the more this post stays at the top of the list when there is a lot more information out there right now that we should all be looking at.

There's also a lot of exxagarating and sensationalist threads here that claim the # is about to hit the fan. There were quite a few of those here during the last years crop circle season.
Nobody called them trolls except those who saw through their BS.

Testimony is evidence. There is lots of very compelling testimony from trained observers and other credible persons of intereste who get nothing but ridicule for coming forward.
