Got a couple minutes from Olympic Challenger 1. Oil leaking from the cap. Notice how it is consistent with the blobs we have seen from the seafloor.

Glad you got the video...I got shots of it
but video is better!The drops of oil do appear we've been seeing
from the floor...with that yellow background the drops
look like they have tails...for some reason they remind me of sperm swimming out.
Did you see that shot I took yesterday with the horizontal
bar on top? Is that to help maintain balance?

What a coincidence......with all that has been happening and the capping stack still leaking....all the sudden, the "seas are too rough"


Subsea operational update:

The MC252 well has been shut-in since July 15; there is currently no oil flowing into the Gulf.

Due to high sea states, operations to remove the capping stack and replacement of the Deep Water Horizon BOP with the DDII BOP is on hold. Operations will commence as soon as sea states reach acceptable levels.

The DDII is in the staging area in preparation for latching its BOP on the Macondo well.

The DDIII is on standby but maintaining full readiness to proceed when directed.

We anticipate the next update will be provided by around 10am CDT on August 31, 2010.

Hi everyone....I'm trying to update as I can....not feeling well today (or yesterday)...don't worry, it's not the Corexit LOL! Just a queasy stomach after eating out...I think I got food poisoning I feel a little better today than yesterday though. I'm still watching as I can, and will update if anything happens.

Frightening news if it's true. I will need to see more that one pool tested before I believe it.

I always thought that the crops in the coast would show signs before anything else.

Good catch. I got it, too but from another angle. How do you embed video like that? I searched the thread but couldn't find instruction. Also, tried to embed it using the youtube video button but was told the link was bad. Thanks in advance. Here's the one I got.

Todays www.truthout.org article says there is proof of oil contamination in the Mississippi Sound. The area was opened for shrimp trawling 8/06/10. The samples were collected by dropping absorbant pads to a depth of 8 ft. There are photos of the pads embedded in the article w/a complete discription of how the samples were collected. It was too long to be added to this comment.

Jonathan Henderson, with the nonprofit environmental group, Gulf Restoration Network, was on board to witness the sampling. "I can verify that the shrimp boat captain retrieved what appeared to be an oily residue," Henderson told Truthout. "My suspicion is that it was oil. It felt like oil to the touch, and it smelled like oil when you sniffed it." www.truthout.org

In the article one of the shrimpers said something about people swimming in the area. I don't know specifics regarding oil/disperents as far as contamination or how long it might take for that contamination to cause issues in those exposed to it.

Generally speaking the effects of any contaminate can be immediate, or take decades to present. Look how long it took for symptoms to present in those working in the area of the towers post 9/11. They were told the air was just fine & did not present a threat. We are seeing the same thing happening in the GOM.

You couldn't drag me into the waters in the GOM. I would stand between any of my loved ones and that water. I know the tourist trade has taken a hard hit and I'm sorry for that. BP can't make that right & that is heart breaking.

Our towns economy is based on the aircraft industry going back to WWWII. We know every job lost here also causes 4 other support jobs lost. The unemployed don't go out to dinner or buy cars.

To those living in coastal areas, I'm sorry. I'm sorry you've lost your way of life. I'm sorry your kids are getting sick. I'm sorry you, & all of us, are being lied to every time someone blinks. ( At this point I suspect the very air we breathe. ) I'm sorry this can never be made right.

I promise I won't go on another rant...Never mind, I can't promise that.

Good job Dragon....I am still amazed at how BP KNOWS people are seeing that, and STILL has the audacity to lie to our faces and say it's DEAD...

Here's a pic I just took of the "glowing blob spew...and then we see them as they blow past the cap in the pic below it...

The blob spew is going on now on oc3 rov 2 if you want to see it....

While watching the glowing orbs, I started to notice that in the background you could see a red blast before the screen filled with the objects....Look closely at the dark pic on the right....see the area of dark red? It was hard to catch, but I think you can see it.

If you 'quote' this post, you can see the code i have used. basically, you only use the letters and numbers and whatnot after the = sign. then, put that in between the ''yvid' tags that appear when you click the "YouTube VIDEO" button at the top right of the post screen.

It appears from time to time, there is some seeping from the seafloor going on at the HOS Super H ROV 2. It's not very clear, and its not in blobs. More like streamers or puffs from time to time. Trying to get video or a screen shot, but so far no luck.

EDIT: Was seeping...the camera/ROV moved.
