The "Up to the Minute" BP Livefeed Discussion Thread

Smething BIG just happened on Ocean Intervention ROV 1...I looked it was clear and suddenly just clouds and dust and look like oil blobs all over...weirdest thing. It is creeping over to Ocean Intervention ROV 2 now which is looking at the same thing from a different angle

Here we go again.....just like yesterday! I wish you could have seen yesterday Dragon....it was one thing after another.

The pic you posted....that's how it looks right before one of those explosions that have been happening....sub C 2 was filling up with clouds too just a minute ago.

Was what appeared to be a seafloor Eruption on Sub C ROV 2. I got it on video. Happened minutes ago before it got to the BOP which does not look healthy. This is a good video aside from the lines. That's what fraps does sometimes> Also i stopped recording because the feed froze for a few minutes, and suddenly it was at the BOP.

Dragon....the last video you took is what I was trying to explain when I said at different times I was seeing plumes or clouds coming from the base of the BOP....this is the first time we see it close up and clear though.

For those who are interested, here is the Thad Allen press conference from yesterday....apparently they are still fishing for the pipe, but if they don't get it soon, they may just give up and move the BOP with the pipe still in it. The plan is to move the BOP on August 26 (as of now) Here is the link...

First i would like to thank you guys for your dedication.but semi off topic do you think all this action has something to do with"the methane/oil gulf monster"maybe there trying to kill/capture it and that could be the comotion.ive noticed several posts saying rovers are moving with pipes or rods of some sort....just a thought......keep up the good work guys

Anything is possible. With the way things have gone with thi situation you can never leave anything off the realm of possibilities.

So we've got 2 days until they have either removed the pipes or decide to go ahead and try to lift the BOP the 3000 ft with the pipe still there.

And the best part is they've been ordered to keep the ROV feeds live and decent enough to observe the whole process.
Speaking of which, Challenger 2 is fiddling with something. And is there a cluster of ROVs around the top of the BOP on Skandi1? Can see a lot of lights but cant make anything oot.

WTF is that crap coming out of the top of the BOP??!?!?!

what ever it is is heavier than water..

I tried to take some pics of it....give me aminute....I have never seen anything like it.....to those who don't know what we are talking about....the BOP is emitting a hot pink substance like it's boiling over.. ...very weird....I'll try to get some pics up....

The color shifted a few times, so I dunno if it was actually 'hot pink'.... some times it looked white.. sometimes green..

It looked like a little mini poisonous volcano..

I see lots of oil droplets floating around now..

Sounds the same as what happened the other night, someone posted a pic. Should be in the last 5 - 7 pages here.

It looks exactly like it....but it was boiling over like this is ............what could that stuff be? Such a strange color!

How are these numbers in the right top corner be moving at a fast rate, interesting I say.
