Just saw a Channel 10 poll on the issue:-

The question asked, "Will you vote for Julia Gillards Labour Party in the next election?"

24% - YES
76% - NO

The people voted for the man not the band and whether it be a he or she to stand in, the people of the nation feel betrayed. Yes, he was an ass at times but he was our ass and we don't appreciate having our asses kicked out from under us!

I'm sure a lot of the anger out there will die down before the next election but for me in my kingdom, this is treason!

Figures on 9MSN are a little different but reflect a similar attitude.

Nation Says No To Gillard as PM

ninemsn readers have cast doubt on Julia Gillard's future as prime minister, with almost two-thirds declaring they will not vote for her in the looming election.

At 3pm today our homepage poll showed that more than 50,000 readers would not vote for Ms Gillard in the coming federal election, compared to about 23,000 who said they would.

I expect this to change in the next few months if she makes positive changes.

Kevin Rudd was thinking, after when he lost the Leadership of the Labour Party. He will be a stand up comedian, but the problem with that is people were laughing at him and he had the better jokes when he was Prime Minister.

Julia Gillard is just a nother version of Mr Ruddy, you(s) really think that Julia Gillard (with her OWN policies) would take the Labour Party in a whole nother direction??? No! Exactly! Julia Gillard is just a nother version of Mr Ruddy07.

Thats what happenes when the voters DID vote in the Labour Party! Australia got screwed from Mr Ruddy07 and the Labour Party. All of their policies FAILED! All of them. And soon the liberal party will take controll again and fix what IS-and has been broken.

the question that no one wants to ask should be asked ie...

is australia ready for a female pm?

theres no doubt that they are ready to accept a female deputy pm but did australians lose their right to vote on it with julia being backdoored into the pms seat...

I don't know if she would have be voted in judging by our past experiences with red haired women politicians.

I think the sex of the new PM is inconsequential. Just a novelty in this case really.
I think it was a little to early to oust Rudd. I will clarify I didn't vote for the guy originally and a lot of what he did was strange to say the least.
He did make a lot of changes in this country and many for the better. The problem with the leading roll in this country is leadership in general.

When your the leader your damned if you do and damned if you don't. They'll hate you for the policies you make and they'll hate you when you give up those policies.

I dont care if the PM is female or male.
But the choice should have been left to the public.
Not a lying backstabbing.............

Zazzafraz.....

Exactly.....

That's been a long term plan.

They'll dump Gillard for Shorten, given the slightest chance.

Kind regards

Also she is single and childless. This usually doesn't go down well with Labors bread and butter voters, "working families"

Here is my brother's take on the whole thing

"Female PM? Meh. Unmarried, childless PM with a hairdresser for a boyfriend - yes please! Only a woman whose own red centre is barren can truly understand this harshly beautiful land we call Australia. I wonder what kind of friends the hairdresser has? Probably all drag queens, Korean manicurists and strippers. The Lodge is gonna be like the Playboy Mansion! Jeanette Howard must be turning in her grave."

His explanation when questioned about the "late" Mr's Howard.

"Jeanette Howard died at some point in the mid-20th century, and her corpse has stumbled through the intervening decades as a biddable, obedient zombie-goodwife. She must spend every night in a crypt, leafing through copies of Women's Weekly from the 1950s, in order to stave off total disintegration. Whereas the mighty and illustrious being we call Julia is immortal - having appeared in history previously as Elizabeth I, she has waited patiently for an auspicious moment to arise in which she could blaze forth anew. Now is that moment - she returns, with the rainbow in her hand and the moon under her feet!"

I don't know he could be on to something.

Yes we are a Labor family.

Baah - politics - who'd do it?
Man you have to be ruthless.

I couldn't do it in a million years - I don't really do ruthless.

But as much as I dislike politics - boy! is it going to be an interesting rest-of-the-year!

That Labour Party is ruthless, because they are now Ruddless.

..."I feel personally that with Julia and Wayne the original form of the tax is now off the table and we can look at something sensible."

Mr Forrest then made it clear that he is not keen on Ms Gillard's invitation to negotiate, unless that negotiation involves the removal of the RSPT model...

I couldn't give a toss about her being a woman. I honestly do not know why it's such a big deal as male world leaders are constantly puffing their chests waging wars trying to become "alpha male" so why should it make a difference?

She was not voted in by the Aust people, now we have a Ranga Pm,voted in by her own backstabbing party simple as that.
Female or male makes no difference, the Australian people have been reamed in the ass, shown that our vote is not our voice because they do what they want anyway.
Bill Shorten = Russell from survivor.
