I can't turn anyone into a christian, God does that. Has anyone seen the commercial on TV where teen girl is drowning in a lake. Another girl is standing on the dock just blankly looking at her doing nothing to help her. How can I do that. Give me some ideas and questions of what you want me to say?

Fine it is what you believe. But if God can only turn me into a TRUE christian then stop egging me on.

I should have written this in my last reply but I think of things later. One of the reasons I am on here is this simple. God has told us what is coming.(in the Bible) We (True Christians) don't want to see anyone experience the horrible days that God says are going to come, and worse yet be seperated from God for all eternity. If you are a unsaved you can have access to the same God I do. I am no better than you. Many have the wrong impression of who the God of the Bible is. At some point CHRIST WILL RETURN FOR TRUE CHRISTIANS(anyone can escape what's going to happen, start a topic on how that can be done), and then it's going to be extremely hard to see God through the darkness that will be everywhere. Please remember what we have put on here.

Once again you just come off as better. What? You can read!? Is that why? I can read. YOU CHOOSE what you believe..that does not make it right, but whatever gets you through the day...or makes your life better, but your preaching just makes me aggravated. I don't want ot hear someone telling me I am wrong...that I have lived most of my life believing in something that is wrong. What makes you right? If you can provide this then it would be done. But can you? I don't believe so. You, I am assuming, were raised Christian. So because of a statistical fact you are going to heaven?

And TRUE Christians are probably very scarce. If every one followed the Bible Word For Word heaven would have 20 seats at most.

Also if there is a God, and if it is your god I think he loves me. I have done very little wrong and tried to be nice to people. And all around do good.

I was saved at about 8 years old while watching Billy Graham on TV. I didn't live like I was saved for aother 20 years. I started attending an Evangelical church when I was 33 with my 4 kids. God got my attention when my mom got breast cancer. Just a little thought. I used to think that because something is in the Bible, it's because everything in it He approves of. That's not the case, things(even wrong things) are in there as examples for us to show us the results of things. King David committed adultery with Bathsheba got he pregnant and then killed her husband. God didn't approve of that, God even took the life of the child.(the child went to heaven) He puts these stories in their to show me that When I sin consequences will result from it.

You have to give that free will right back to God, in exchange He gives you something better, eternal life(a better way to live, now and in eternity.)

Looking at the old testament - having a jealous god who puts his sheeple in strive and wants to be worshipped is not everyones mentallity. But it is all choice people can live with what ever they want to believe and that is their "god own" freedom - they have live their reallity as we create reality by our thoughts/belives/desires.

the bible was written over more than a 100 years by different poeple yet it is still coherant.

Maybe even 500 years - but PUT TOGHETHER in the year 300 after christ.

I believe in all gods not just one but all. All deserve respect. Just because you havent read the bible doesnt mean that you will go to hell. Not being a Christian doesnt mean you will go to hell. There were plenty of gods before the Jewish god Yahweh and the son of Yahweh, Christ.

Even though I do not know much about these religions that is my choice. I feel that it is enough for me just to know that they exist and that they are mostly good. When I worship, I worship the good, and ask for goodness, for all and I thank them for the life I have.

Shauny dont listen to these Christians you carry on along your own path and find your own way, you know this, and you also know that all beings as long as they are good to all creatures will find peace on the other side whether they chose to believe in the Christian god or not.

When Christians start going on like they do about the non Christians going to hell they start to sound terribly deranged. This kind of Christian is almost fanatical in there ways. It saddens me. As Christianity is a good and worthy religion when practiced without the fanaticism as with most religions.

Faith is a word in many languages other then Christianity. A man can still have great faith without being Jewish or Christian.

All religions have a lot to offer to man/woman.

And once again just because you dont believe in Christianity or Judaism does not mean you will go to hell

Just believe in goodness and well being and acknowledge that there is an ever after. You will be ok.

Im a christain

As far as i know a lot of things of the bible has been edited/taken out

An example i heard of is that Jesus supposingly talked a lot about reincarnation but it was taken out

Also read this site (Was on another forum)

www.near-death.com

When the bible was around everyone was considered sinners also i heard Paul didnt even like Jesus when he was supposinly a christian (thats why there are a lot of "hostility" between books) and other bits have been changed over time

Christianity [and other western religions] all insist upon gathering at a secure location for services presided over by an official, at regular periodic intervals. Any contact with Spirit that occurs outside of these official services is denounced as "evil". The church is seen as a necessary intermediary between people and God.
This "European" perspective is more about controlling the masses than it is with communion. The spirit world is very real, and God's will is apparent; but it is the forgotten goal of most established religion to keep you from getting there.
There have been other "pagan" cultures that insisted upon direct communion with God- this is one of the definitions of Gnosis. Christianity's reaction to these cultures has been genocide- look to the Aztec and the Cathars for examples. Religions that have historically used technologies vs. dogma have been eradicated by the Church during the Inquisition. History counts, too....
Christianity as practiced by Christ probably had a lot more in common with "illegal" spiritual practices than it did with the rigid dogmatized anti-spirituality being force-fed into us today. Christians do not own God, nor can they withold God from someone by quoting dogma.

It is indeed dangerous to proceed upon a spiritual path following your own guidence, but it is absolutely nessecary to figure this stuff out for yourself. No one is qualified to do it for you....

What happened to the native tribes is indeed a tragedy, but that happened because of the catholic church which thought the earth was flat and was the center of the universe...I am a Christian, not catholic, and I don't go to mass and don't follow a church. Why? because they are not needed.christians don't need a priest to follow the Bible.the church has caused great harm and given a bad image of christiannity...I mean who is the pope to "cannonize" someone?what great power does he have that other christians have not?And who is he to say he/she is a saint?Only God can decide of such things

huh?

You're not joking?
Oh...uh....then....link?
This is my first time ever hearing this. Having seen Christianity and just about all other western religions practiced on any given day....I'd like to know where you got this info from. Just curious.

Few more questions.

The other gods. Are they really gods? When someone says God, most think of an infinate being with unlimited power. These other "gods" however are limited in their powers. They seem to be just beings doing their one job.

As far as the energy thing. Did this energy create itself? Was it started by something? Does it create matter? Does it have feelings? If not, why did it give humans feelings then?

It's too bad our human minds are so constricted by time and space otherwise God will make alot more sense to people......

I think that it is hard to miscount the things around us. I believe that god and the sprit world go hand in Hand. I think that our physical selves and our sprits are on different dimensions. The reason I say that is because I think that dimensions are all out your perspective at a certain point time. I cant really try to convince any of you outer there that the most high exist but I think that more you discover God the closer you get to breaking out of this repetitious cycle of death and rebirth.

When you die the only thing your going to take with you is you knowledge/experiences you gained while you lived. We are just the sum total of choices that we make everyday. Some make these choices based off of prior knowledge and some seek help from higher beings/being. All we can hope for is some understanding of who we really are.

As far as I see it human kind knows nothing therefore we cannot really guide ourselves. We only know about what is on this puny planet we call earth. It is a big universe out there so to say that you know all there is to know by memorizing some verses in to really limit your spiritual potential. You should always try to build on what you have already learned so you can become at peace with your inner self. That is where my belief in God comes in. I believe that the most high comes into you life when you are ready. For some people it may just take a couple of lifetimes to gain enough knowledge to let God enter your heart. That is just my two cents and sorry if I got kin

God won't turn you into anything because God gave us free will

How is this free will, when one must follow all the rules and regulations layed down by the Bible ? Free will is the absence of restrictions on our thoughts and concluding actions that follow there after, not having to reference the Bible, and live in accord to Jesus's life.

That just it. It is free in the truest sense of the word. You can either say yes or no. It's completely up to you. Those who choose to excercise their will do so without regard to the consequences. Those are compelled by the consequences are neither free nor a true believer.

If God gave you " free will ", this free will pertains only to Christians, so my question was directed towards them.

How can you have free will, to choose and act upon any thought you choose and not be worried about the consequences, when the Bible gives you rules and regulations to abide by ?

Do you understand illimay that you have been brainwashed, God didnt create man, Man created god! First of all,the only real reason They made religion is so that people would know right from wrong/ Second of all, Hell is a scare tactic used to scare people into believeing in your god. You people are like a F*&king cult! just noone notices!

Here's a little bit of "open mindedness" I think we should all 'learn' from (this was extracted from the spiritualism section):"Spiritualists teach from the Bible. They claim to have the nine miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit (which they claim are used in the seance), and they pray to Jesus. But they do not believe that He is the Son of God; they say He is a medium of the highest order. The religion actually comforts the sinner, because spiritualists do not believe in death, the devil, Hell, or judgment. They believe that God loves everyone, that salvation is gained by good works, and that the door to reformation is never closed. They believe that when a person leaves this life,, he goes to reside on a certain plane (depending on how good he was) where someone will be there to help him."

This minister is basically combining John Edward, Harry Potter, Spiritualism, Pornography, Witchcraft, Demon Possession, Cults, Halloween, Dungeons & Dragons, Reincarnation, Fortune-Telling, Astrology, Humanism, New Age Movement, Hypnosis, Ouija Boards, Satanism, and the Occult all into one catagory claiming, these are all tools of Satan himself! Even porn! lol, what a fool.

Why is that foolish? Please explain your stance.

Ok, maybe it's not foolish, but my point I was trying to make was, why include spiritualism in the list?? The minister can't say that spiritualism is a tool of satan himself, when the Church has gone on crusades killing thousands of Muslims, just because they were afraid they may lose some supporters. The minister is a hypocrite. Since when has any spiritualist ever killed a human being?? He also says that spiritualists claim that God loves all, mentioning it in a way that it's dirty or something to love none Christians, so what? Does God only love Christians and Allah only love Muslims? If you haven't noticed, in the end we all have faith in the same higher power - God, or Spirit as I like to call it. I'm sort of rambling here but I hope you get my drift.

No, free will is choosing whether to follow the rules or not. There are consequences for everything you do in life, it's your choice whether you want to deal with them or not.

The US is a free country but, there are rules and regulations that you follow right? Doesn't mean it stops becoming a free country...
