I call Bull on this one. If anything it's a small coincidence. No prophecy in the Bible has ever came true. The bible has been "debunked" time and time again You are just looking for an excuse to convert people. Religious groups love disasters like this!
That has GOT to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life, EVERY prophecy in the bible has come true and is coming true as we speak, just look at Israel! It's all in front of your eyes, if you're too blind to see it then I feel sorry for you.

My personal take on the OPs suggestion is that the BP logo does in fact resemble the wormwood plant/flower. I think those that do not see this, are simply lacking a little imagination. Much like some people just don't get abstract or impressionist art, or certain kinds of music equated with an emotion stated by the composer. In pointing this out, I'm not slamming anyone as being a dunce, merely saying that sometimes obvious symbolism to one, isn't so to another.

Can we at least suggest that maybe the bible just might be right.
Ats certainly does not think outside of the box. for people who believe in the silliest things

If the bible is right then this can not be the second trumpet because there was no first trumpet:
"Revelation 8:7 - The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire
mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up."

As a prelude to that biblical reference there is this one just one passage back.
Revelation 8:10 "And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters"
The BP log didn't fall from heaven and the oil certainly didn't either unless a meteorite fell from heaven and hit the oil rig under the water and ocean floor. But then, we would have seen turbulent waves, if not tsunami's etc. ...just grasping at straws, but I do know BP is not from heaven and oil was always where it is now,......it didn't FALL from anywhere. BP logo looks more like a Protea plant if you ask me. Just a thought, for those of you who know mythology consider this:
Proteus was an early SEA-god that could fortell the future. You know how these Illuminati types work with all of their symbology and mythical worship. here is a small clip from wiki on 'Proteus'.
In Greek mythology, Proteus (Πρωτεύς) is an early sea-god, one of several deities whom Homer calls the "Old Man of the Sea"[1], whose name suggests the "first" (from Greek "πρῶτος" - protos, "first"), as protogonos (πρωτόγονος) is the "primordial" or the "firstborn". He became the son of Poseidon in the Olympian theogony (Odyssey iv. 432), or of Nereus and Doris, or of Oceanus and a Naiad, and was made the herdsman of Poseidon's seals, the great bull seal at the center of the harem. He can foretell the future, but, in a mytheme familiar from several cultures, will change his shape to avoid having to; he will answer only to someone who is capable of capturing him.
Better yet, let me make this easier still, look what I found!
Here is where I found the following (BP's Own website!)

Revelation 8:11
the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.
Anyone else think the BP logo looks like a star?

Now compare the BP logo to the budding flower of the wormwood plant.

Artemisia absinthium (absinthium, absinthe wormwood, wormwood, common wormwood, or grand wormwood) is a species of wormwood, native to temperate regions of Eurasia and northern Africa.
The leaves are spirally arranged, greenish-grey above and white below, covered with silky silvery-white trichomes, and bearing minute oil-producing glands;
Its flowers are pale yellow, tubular, and clustered in spherical bent-down heads (capitula), which are in turn clustered in leafy and branched panicles.

The wormwood plant is known for it's ability to produce oil.
Pure wormwood oil is very poisonous, but with proper dosage poses little or no danger.

Edited - post comments:
Wormwood only shows up once in the NIV and yet it shows up multiple times in the King James.
Interesting to note that the word Wormwood only shows up in the new testement once, which could be the reason that it only shows up in the NIV once.
Also interesting to note that Revelation is the only reference that refers to the Star named Wormwood.

I know I haven't been here that long, but I'm constantly amazed at how many people here take things on faith. Talking about "prophecy" on a site dedicated to denying ignorance is a massive FAIL.
Picking the slightest bit of supporting evidence while casting aside scads of proof that completely destroys your theory seems to be SOP on ATS.
