My dear friend, arrogance is not a crime, nor is it even a sin, but merely a presumption of knowledge, and dare I say I have known arrogance as much as any soul has, perhaps even more.

I am not one to preach humility as I have heard the virtues of humility preached all too often while the virtues of pride have been recklessly disregarded as the source of too many problems. You should be proud for your thread as it has generated a large response in just a short amount of time, and whatever communications you hoped to express, what you accomplished was sparking passionate discussion. If I were to preach anything at all, it would be to be proud, and you have certainly earned that pride with your own thread.

Pride is not something that can be gained unearned. Humility, on the other hand comes to us all without any effort at all. Pride takes effort and accomplishment, and the effort that it takes to accomplish something is a huge effort indeed, and any sense of pride one feels for that accomplishment is well earned. Pride does not come to us easy, but one need not even get out of bed in order to know humility. Indeed, stay in bed without relieving the bladder or digestive system and learn how easily humility comes. Get out of bed and count the moments until the next moment of humility comes, as it won't be too long, there is always some event that will present itself to humble us.

I am most grateful you have taken the time to enter this thread and share your views. Communication is key, and yet, communication is not as easy as most of us tend to assume, (or presume), it is. Language is clumsy and often times too vague, and even cryptic, and it takes effort to effectively communicate ones message. You do a remarkable job at making this effort, and this is worthy of praise.

It is good and just that you do not wish to argue with me, as I have no argument with you, and why I chose to stay out of your thread, as to avoid argument. I encourage your enlightenment, and have no doubt you encourage the same of me. I also have no doubt that you desire a populace that will learn to live with each other in peace, and this is my desire as well. How we can accomplish this together, I am not sure, but I remain certain that we will endeavor to accomplish this together.

I truly look forward to a day when you and I can actually sit down over a beer or two and laugh at these times and remember that we were just two voices in the wilderness daring to shout to all who would listen; I Am!

for me "they" are all those who support government institutions (systems of control) whose manditory expectations (laws) number so great no children i know can live long enough to learn them all. Thank you my friend and fellow warrior poet for sharing your thoughts. Especially in regards to ego. Indeed, thank you for daring to spell the word out in all caps, as EGO, as surely it deserves this respect.

Of all the general conspiracies that may exist, the attempt to marginalize and demonize the EGO is perhaps the most insidious of them all. While we are all, no doubt, interconnected, we are so as individuals and we can only know the truth from our own individual perspective. Perhaps, on a higher plane of existence we can know the truth in some other fashion, but while we exist here on this plane, we possess a distinctly subjective perspective, and any objectivity we can muster we do so based upon our own perceptions.

How can we reconcile our own subjectivity with our efforts at objectivity? I do not think any such reconciliation would come about by suppressing the EGO in favor of the ID. The ID is wholly subjective and responsive to biological desires, but the EGO dares to be more. I have seen you dare to do this, and I expect your moreness has only just begun.

I love your posts JPZ, you have an inate ability to cut through the crap with words and reveal a gem or two of truth.
Brevity and concision are not your strong suits however. I think some people shy away from reading your posts due to length, you may want to give that consideration.

Some years ago I was extremely active politically. I realized I was alienating some friends and family members as well as not pursuing the things that give me happiness and fulfillment.
Once that realization sunk in I became serious about doing artwork and found that the rewards of following your own desires are truly worth pursuing (my avatar is one of my paintings, badly cropped though).
Each of us has something unique inside to give the world. It may seem selfish, but following your own self interest is the only way to discover what that gift is.
When we worry about social acceptance we compromise our own thoughts and actions and fall off the path of fulfillment.
When we fail to find the individual within ourselves, we have destroyed the very gift that life has given us. The "I" within that is different from every other "I" that was ever born or ever will be.
Think about that. Among the billions of people now living or were ever here on the planet, there is only one "you". Completely different from everyone else. Only one. Who are you? - whatever you decide to be.

if you do some reading about our new earth and the energies that are going to be associated with it, a big part of connecting with the energies is connecting with your hearts desire - that which makes you the most inspired, impassioned or happy. once you are fully connected you are in the flow of life and full of joy - you are free and doing whatever it is that makes you happy.

the bigger picture of life is that life on this planet is almost like a puzzle. we all have different passions and things that we enjoy doing. and it all forms a perfect picture. so once everybody is connected you have a perfectly oiled and harmonious machine - a society where everybody is just focused on being happy, connecting to what makes them happy and supporting whatever makes others happy.

I hate all of this "live in the present" B.S.

I have a job and will be going to school.

Trust me, I could be happy for the next 5 years without doing so. Probably more happy than if I decided to continue doing both those activities.

But it is the long term happiness in which I am after.

Who knows. Maybe by the time I am old, I will have the chance to go to the moon. Travel the world.

I am sure all of that will cost a fair bit of money - something I need to think long term about to be able to obtain.

But in the end - it is exactly what I want to do.

TPTB have seemingly replaced the responsibility of God in the beliefs of many; no longer is it manifest destiny or the will of mysterious cloud dwelling anthropomorphic personifications, but that of faceless suits and shadowy organizations that manipulate and coordinate every single snag or flare of life on this planet.

for many, this idea of insane governmental puppetry is infinitely preferable to there being . . . nothing, and that no one but them selves are responsible for their own happiness, well being and continued existence.

A applaud your post.... very true in what you say.... people must continue to believe that there is far more to life then just going along day to day doing the same thing... there are too many drones out there doing the 'devils' work... these are the people who need to wake up as you say... don't just do because you think that this is life and that this life is what your father's life was like before you and his father's life was like before him....

do something you really want to get up in the morning for... if this means taking time out of your working life right now and claiming a benefit, then do it until you have found what you want to do.

In addition to agreeing with the OP post, I have to agree with you as well. It wasn't until I TOO realized that I needed to STOP living in the past..as well as the future as I had come to realize that I could not control either one of them, and by focusing too much on either one was only "renting a space in my head for free" and taking away my brain computing power that could be concentrating and being used for what REALLY MATTERED...THE PRESENT!!

Once I woke up to that realization...and began "planting seeds" each day IN THE PRESENT, and then going back to sow and water those seeds as I planted new ones every day...THAT was the beginning to getting my life back on track! And I will admit that since I began doing that approx 2 to 3 months ago...I have gotten nothing but excellent news, doors/opportunities opening up for me, and have just plain been catching a break on many things.

I do want to add that those of you caught all up in this new age movement that seems to be focusing on nothing but "entering a higher vibrational field which will resonate to a frequency that has been hidden through the encoding of our DNA which will then lead us to transcend to a higher plane as we enter the 4th dimension". Okay let me tell you all something...THIS MOVEMENT IS DANGEROUS. I TOO almost got caught up in all this. How? Because I, and probably like many others that do to, I never grew up in a household that had anything to do with religion. I was never exposed to it. And in my self-learned scientific rationalization of everything, I came to a crossroads (basically my eyes eventually opened up to what has and is currently happening in our world...and the fact that my wife who is the biggest skeptic of all time had her own UFO sighting just 3 months ago), but I came to a crossroads that much of what has and is occurring CANNOT BE ALL EXPLAINED BY SCIENCE ALONE, and that there HAS TO BE SOMETHING ELSE!

So in my search of what that something else could be...I was introduced and almost completely engulfed in what appears to be the unified (unified as all of these guru's seem to do nothing but piggyback off of what the last guru said, and add their own spice of dramatization to it by supplementing key words such as "vibration", "plane", "frequency", "higher dimension", "positive intention" etc...etc.. I am sure you get my point)...so in all they all pretty much seem to regurgitate whatever the latest new buzzword comes out attempting to explain all of what is happening in the world, and to IGNORANT AND GULLIBLE PEOPLE SUCH AS I WAS in their search for explanations and definitions as to what is going on...well it all becomes too easy to jump on the new age bandwagon and then defend a position that I really wonder if those that are spreading the word even really knows anything about themselves!

In psychology I believe the term is called Cognitive Dissonance, or the reducing of in this case. Once YOU BREAK AWAY from that pseudoscience nonsense...and in my case...I found God himself after 38 years. Once I found Him...the danger and evil that is being perpetuated by these new age people is ALARMING! Not to be a Bible thumper here as I am not, and one of the things that had always turned me off in the past was those who are...I will finish with..I encourage ALL of you that are on the fence like I was, to obtain a Holy Bible (preferably the King James one) and actually flippin READ THE THING as you will be BLOWN AWAY as to how much begins to make sense in relation to what is going on in the world today! I was starting to think that the lot of this group were missing the point of the universe. Now, there is a lot more here around us than what was listed here, but for the most part, a bang up job. There are many people who will push you around, many people who'll push your ideas around, and many people who'll push society around. This is where you can stand up, and instead of pushing back, just use principles of Tai Chi, where non-contact is the most draining of all on the physical and mental portions of those who attempt to 'control' you. Dance around their politics, mince their words, love what they do. Christ (theologically or physiologically, it doesn't matter) taught to love your enemy. This includes loving those who seem to be out to 'control' you. This is as effective in dealing with people today as it was 2 millenia ago.

Remember that Loving all can transcend negativity, and you are all loved.

An amazing post, very well thought out and it seems your experiences are quite similar to mine, albeit absolutely individual - as we are all out to experience God as we choose, beit through science or math, twitter/cell phones, other people, hermetics, or even church (more on that when I can make my own threads)

I think that if more people read Bill Coopers book, Behold a Pale Horse, they would better understand and relate to the wakeup call to all of us here in the US.

Many of the things we want to do, our obstructed by the systems and design of our system. Dream a moment of all your passions and desires. Then realize how you can accomplish these things within this system we have designed. For most, attaining these dreams is next to impossible. Money is the driving mechanism to attaining most goals in our system. Our system will change, when we change and realize others happiness is found within our own individual contribution and commitment to helping others attain their happiness. We all want different things in this world.

I personally want to become an Attorney to help change this world. At the same time I realize without fair and just rules and system designs I would be part of the system that currently is. To me, finding a balance between what is and what would make things fair is key to my involvement in bringing this vision forth. My only passion seems to be to ask that the laws are fair as applied to the whole of society. That the laws do not benefit one over the other. That when the laws are written they are simple and have a focus. That there are no loopholes. That access to enforcing rights and responsibilities of the rules we agree to play by are not an entitled privilege that only people with money can enforce on each other, or defend from the same.

I have no problem with a person becoming rich off of their creativity. I do have a problem with the system as we have designed it currently. Our most successful people in this world make their riches off the backs of others that provide the skill necessary to feed profits to the person who supposedly put the concept together. If anything we owe these people a standing ovation for realizing we are worth something, in a system that has told us we can do anything while preventing us the ability to actually do what our passion may be. The elite class has masterfully concocted an illusion. We think we are free (and we are) but the system is flawed in favor of those who use our creativity to their own advantage. A system where we are dependent on another slave to provide food, housing, and other essential services while we pay for those services with our slave labor.

Even though this rant is part of the cycle within ATS it is a different type of rant and I happen to agree with you. You pointed out the mindset of these individuals that are just so much "higher" than us quite well.

Welcome to the God complex that grows within individuals that are likely sitting in their moms basement in the dark, absorbing their self into the digital world of ego where no practical application is necessary, only philosophy and speculation, where you can play God and by a large vocabulary and seemingly abstract thoughts play with others emotions.

Childish? Yes it is.
Trivial? For sure.

However, in real life I have a feeling these individuals, when confronted with a realistic and threatening situation, are not quite as wise and just don't have the time to think things out before they type them. I have my own patterns and cycles just like ATS. Hell mine go from nihilistic to revolutionist but alas the world is ruled by cycles and patterns. We just gotta enforce the right ones and kill the others.

Remember people were suppose to be sitting at a round table, not a square one and at this point stop worrying about making everyone believe what you believe in, in your great and glorious wisdom. Sometimes, just sometimes, we can all control our emotions and by doing such, not be so puffed up and condescending. Gotta stop worrying and live in the moment as it were. Easier said than done but the more its recognized the closer we get.
