This kind of BS is not put on for the people anymore,we have finally opened our eyes(at least most of us).so it has to be for the functional illiterate who says he is running things but is really just doing what he is told.

My real problem is ,where are the skimmers,with enough skimmers on the job,they could be skimming more oil out then is going in.Has anyone seen the news about Kevin Costner and the skimmers he and his partners have put together??Obvious that Nobama hasent or doesent care.

I think he meant that it's his job to make sure BP does their job. Which in turn would give more reasoning as to why all those workers were down their cleaning the mess up. Because BP wanted to show Obama that they're following his orders, which of course they're not.

I understand that corporations run this country, not the Government. But I strongly feel that in times of crisis, like this, that a President with some sense like Obama, would be a person first, and feel this ecological disaster as us regular citizens do, and take his authority and pressure BP as much as possible. Instead of someone like Bush, who acted as an authority figure 100% of the time and forgot that he was a person.. just like us. People have no compassion these days, especially when they have control over certain aspects.

As a side note, a few years ago I was a person who didn't care.. about anything. I was younger (I'm only 25, but the last few years made a hell of a difference) and had no care in the world, the only thing that mattered to me were my wife and family. I find myself recently, over the last year or so, to start caring more, about everything. Environment, economy, my health.. but starting to care less about the general public. The general public has no idea what's going on, they don't care..people just don't give a # anymore, and that's why situations like this oil spill will take forever to get resolved. I've come to hate people like the person I used to be. Times have changed, our world is in dire need of help, and it's time that help arrives.

Could someone post the video people are referencing? I haven't had my daily "WTF Obama?!?!?!" moment of the day. This oil crisis has really served to curb stomp my last strings of hope with this Administration.

Staged photo ops have always been the mainstay of those in power. They manipulate public perception in order to maintain power and control.

Yes, nothing to see here. Just tons upon tons of oil spiiling into one of the most important bodies of water on the planet.

Who gives a damn if these photo ops were staged right? Well I give a huge damn. Obama and his people are scum. They dont give two craps about the gulf.

The coast guard is basicaly on hold. The largest enviromental firm in the country has over 500 people ready to go there and clean it up right now, but they cannot. Since they are contracted by the government they cannot go until they are green lighted.

It's sickening that Obama or the EPA or whoever is holding these back. I know for a fact that the firm I spoke of (Enviromental Restoration LLC, www.erllc.com) has over 150,000 feet of boom in the water and only 18 people out of hundreds down there to manage it.

This is being allowed to continue. It is my belief that this is a ploy to condemn offshore drilling and force the "green revolution" down everyones throat, at the cost of thousands of peoples lively hoods, hoards of dead animals, and I can almost guarentee more human casualties before its said and done.

It's a ruse a show put on for John Q public at the expense of every citizen on this forsaken rock.

Obama comes to White House after a tiring daylong acting and posing to cameras. Het gets freshed up and dinner and then to bedroom.
He and his wife gets cozy. He hears a knock. Its his daughter.
She asks 'Did you plug the hole yet daddy?'.
Obama says,'Not yet. If you disturb daddy i cant. So go to bed. I'll plug the hole', and he closes the hole and started plugging.

Looking at the pictures of those "temporary" clean up workers that were bused in, I'm going to have to go with the assumption that they are either SEIU or ACORN, or both. It's typical of Obama drones to be bused in like that to his events as well as to protest anything that seeks to undermine him.

People saying that it was probably BP that bused them in to make it look like they were cleaning up in the eyes of Obama, are being naive. I don't buy that for one second. Obama and his administration had those people bused in for the cameras.

He is nothing more than a "wolf in sheep's clothing", who has pulled the wool over the majority of America's eyes. At the very least, that majority has now started to become the minority, as his approval numbers continue to fall, and more and more of his lies continue to be exposed.

In Galicia (autonomous region of Spain), there was an oil spill a few years back. Thousands of people from everywhere in the region gathered en masse and stormed the beaches for cleaning up the spill by themselves. Then the government was crooked up enough to use the civil guard and police to try KEEPING CIVILIANS FROM THE BEACHES, as they were doing absolutely nothing to solve the problem.

What happened? The benevolent people passed through the police lines, forced their way to the beaches, passing through the police/military lines and did the whole cleaning job.

Looks like they WANT the sea and the beaches to be contaminated. So let's stop caring about the government does and see what WE can do to solve the problem. Yeah, JFK was dead on...

I agree and one things for sure we are good at taking pictures of Mr Obama squatting down on the beach. Does anyone realise that the camerman probably laid down to get thhe shots he did.

The majority of Americans won't go down there to help. It's up to citizens on the coast to do it themselves, and I doubt many of them are willing to do it.

I especially find it ironic that all the tree huggers aren't down there vigorously trying to clean it up themselves. Where's Hollywood while all this # is going on?

I watched Avatar last night, and that is the biggest tree huggin movie I've ever seen. Where are the people that made that movie? Why aren't they down there doing anything?

Oh well, the water in the gulf has always been brown and nasty anyways. That's probably why most people don't really care about the spill.

If its still leaking , It would just keep on and on and on . Not much of an idea to me .

I would stop the oil , then clean it up . If not , That will be a hell of a waste of time , but that is my view , not yours .

What makes it worse is that it happens here. For a place where the 'informed' are meant to gather with open eyes and open minds it's bewildering how blinded and allied to partisan politics people are and how they're so eager to perpetuate ignorance.

As much as I hate to say it, it is pretty much true... doesn't make much sense to try and clean up the spill from the shore outward while the oil is still gushing into the water. Wasted effort. You could have millions of people down there cleaning it and it will accomplish nothing. Cap the leak first.
