After seeing the clean up in progress while the president walked down the beach I found this, was this show put on for Mr. Hussien or was put on for us the American viewers?

Chris Roberts, a Jefferson Parish councilman whose district encompasses Grand Isle, told Yahoo! News that BP had bused in "hundreds" of temporary workers to work on the cleanup of local beaches. And as soon as the president was en route back to Washington, the workers were clearing out of Grand Isle, as well.

"The level of cleanup and cooperation we've gotten from BP in the past is in no way consistent to the effort shown on the island today," Roberts said by telephone. "As soon as the president left, they were immediately put back on the buses and sent home."
Source and full story.

This after using his daughter for political media op, and with the scandal of getting candidates to drop out of primaries. Jeeze when will it stop?

This BS is getting old.

I knew when I saw the coverage on TV that something was up. This tells me that if this was planned, then everything he said and the emotions he showed were nothing but lies.

Oil Spill Response: 'Army Of Temp Workers' Bused To Grand Isle For Obama Appearance Leave Soon Afterward

Staged photo ops have always been the mainstay of those in power. They manipulate public perception in order to maintain power and control.

Nothing new to see here, move along, move along.

Who on A.T.S is from there? Go to the beach and report back to us. Tell us what exactly is going on. Take a video camera with you. Be our inside reporter. Just do it. Report back.

Its pretty sad to watch the video. The people cleaning look like they don't know what the hell is going on. I don't think they can keep up with that kind of pace. Not that I expect them to, but come on. The video either shows poor acting or lazy workers. If this was a professional clean up it would look like they are working and not just huddled together poking around.

Also if you were doing a job and you were shown on live T.V trying to portray that your company was doing everything in its power to correct this error, you would hustle for the short duration that the cameras were pointed at you

When Exxon Valdez ran a ground 11,000 people (civilians) pitched in to help.
But this is a political sham!

The government is worthless! People need to just start doing it themselves. All the farmers in the area that have extra hay and straw need to just start taking down to the docks and the fishermen start taking it out and sopping up the oil. Also all the marshes they are so worried about just start putting hay and straw in there and sopping up the oil.

Someone should set up a website and start recruiting people to ship thier hay down there and people with boats etc. to take out and soak up oil with it. At least if it washes up on the beach it will be easy to pick up just like sea weed.

If we want this cleaned up we the people are going to have to do it and by-pass the incompetent worthless government. If I lived anywhere near the area I would load up a pick up and trailer with hay and head for those marshes and just start doing it and maybe get some news outlets to cover it and start the ball rolling and hope it caught on.

Ok so anyone live near there want to get the ball rolling?

Hell go all the way.

Get Al jazeera to cover the citizens cleanup efforts and then broadcast it to the world.

I am speachless at the corruption of the government and their filthy corporate bed partners!

You are absolutely correct and I can not agree with your post more.

The people of america are like abused children

waiting for their abusive and drunken parents (the polititans) to take care of them.

Sadly, just like drunken, abusive parents, our corrupt politicians will never care for us.

The politicians care more for their own profits and power than they care for the earth.

The corrupt politicians are in bed with the coporations while the americans are crying for attention, care and protection.

It is time for americans to stop the cycle of abuse and grow up.

We need to take care of ourselves and stop waiting for our corrupt, abusive, dishonest parent/government to care for us.

Do you have any thoughts on how those of us who are far from the spill can help out?

Is there anything that the public can do that will not be stomped out by the corrupt government??

I can't watch and not do anything anymore.
If there is anything that I can do I want to help

LOL
Lets get a bottle of mean green "environmentally safe" and get at it.
Maybe by 2012 when the end comes we will have this crap cleaned up and Mr. Hussein can tell his little girl that he finally got the hole plugged.

There is currently an article on MSN news from the Associated Press. I found this statement both alarming and in my mind confirms a lot of concerns:

Early in the morning in advance of the president’s arrival, hundreds of workers clad in white jumpsuits and rubber gloves hit the beaches to dig oily debris from the sand and haul it off. Workers refused to say who hired them, telling a reporter they were told to keep quiet or lose their jobs.

What in the world is going on? What kind of socialistic country is being created around us? I find this whole thing just crazy.....

That conversation would go something like this:
Obama"Hey Natasha I know the world is ending right now but, I got the hole plugged. I thought that would make you happy.
Natasha"Daddy I love you. I knew you could do it.
They hug and obama gives that evil grin.

OMG!!! Obama is a total commie bastard. A total liar. He is a manipulator. He is run by leftists with dual citizenship. Doesn't the public see this? I can't believe he is still in office.

Believe it. There must be hundreds of people working behind the scenes to dig up dirt and scandal to rock B. Hussein O.'s world. He is only lucky. He can't stay lucky for long.

Still I can not believe the American public is dumb enough to elect him. He is the WORST choice ever. He is obviously there for one reason and one reason only.

Name the beach and I can see what I can do. I live in SW Louisiana and I am approx 1 hour from the Coast. I believe the closest beach to me is called Holly Beach. I can take digital photos and whatever video my camera would allow.

Pretty much any beach 15-20 miles from the Texas coastline is affected in some fashion. I'd suggest documenting the beaches nearest you first. Unfortunately, the media isn't being too helpful in showing the most affected areas outside of a few major city coastlines. What I'd really like to see is an up-to-date map of the spill...Anyone?
