So for those who are complaining about the US, you must also complain about mexico instead of support it, or by default, you must be hypocrites.

Sorry, but that little bird don't fly anymore. I have dark skin, and will be more than happy to show ID to one of our police officers. Why are you afraid of this? Is it because you are illegal too? Just yesterday I saw a family of Mexicans being questioned in the Walmart parking lot. None had any ID. They were driving a brand new Toyota.

I agree. Notice the list. None are southern border states.

Not one of those states matter as far as the illegal problem goes really. Though I'm sure they have their share of problems caused by our intentionally porous borders.

Where is the action from the illegal safe-haven states?

I am disapointed to not see Alabama, Georgia, and Florida on there. I understand South Florida would freak out over the law, but I support it. Illegal immigrants willing to work under the table for less than minimum wage are hurting the LEGAL citizens job prospects. The way this is being handled is not only a shot at the citizens, but the LEGAL immigrants who went through the naturalization process.

I completely agree with you regarding ILLEGALS.
I'm familiar with the photo you're referring to and from what I understand, it was photoshoped. I don't know for sure but the origin of the photo hasn't been substantiated as far as I know.

They may not be Mexican but they speak spanish and made it to the US via Mexico. Send them back where they came from.

If they're US citizens, of course we need to take them back. It's pretty obvious.
And it's fairly easy to tell where someone comes from just based on their accent alone let alone genetic ID, finger printing, etc...

But; before an officer can require you to show ID he has to be able to lawfully detain you.

This is not "stop and identify"...this is "arrest and identify".

Texas doesn't even have a stop and identify law...you can check your own wiki article to confirm that.

Here is something else from your article.

Texas Penal Code, Title 8, §38.02(a), reads
“A person commits an offense if he intentionally refuses to give his name, residence address, or date of birth to a peace officer who has lawfully arrested the person and requested the information.”

Note where it says this is after the person has been LAWFULLY ARRESTED...not just stopped.


You still can't show me anything that requires someone to SHOW an ID. Give a name...yes...I even said that in my original post (which you ignored).

We take in more immigrants per year then all other countries COMBINED and you say we're selfish and greedy ?? You make no sense.

If we are to take in all 4.5 billion impoverished peoples of the world, as you suggest, where do you suggest we put them? How would we cloth and feed them? etc...
