Censorship. Great answer to this vexing question there! Are you suggesting selective censorship of folks who may offend you, or blanket censorship of everyone, yourself included? I suppose a law could be passed to issue muzzles to each individual at birth, but I'm guessing that wouldn't go over very well in this culture.

At no point in the last 3 or so days that revolutionmuslim has been down has it ever redirected to revolutionislam. I've been watching it to see if it would get defaced and sadly nothing yet

No muzzleflash, I'm not saying it's a hoax. I was in the original few ircchannels and saw who was organizing. It was Anon, and they took out revolutionmuslim. Im saying that someone bought and paid for the other site, revolutionislam as a joke. Only one site was hacked.

OK , by now you will see , if you've done your Due Diligence that the Site that Posted the threats REVOLUTION MUSLIM has been down due to traffic since last night. I and others have already told you this.

It's OBVIOUS that ANONYMOUS , leaked the story to the media saying that they hacked REVOLUTION MUSLIM to redirect to REVOLUTION ISLAM , which is why the MSM is going with the false story that REVOLUTION ISLAM is the website that posted threats to Matt & Trey. REVOLUTION MUSLIM has been down since last night , and was closed due to the overwhelming traffic on the site. I can promise you that you will not find 1 person on ATS that tried to log onto REVOLUTION MUSLIM and was re directed to REVOLUTION ISLAM!!!!

This whole debacle is so pathetic. So what that 'the prophet' Muhammad was depicted in a cartoon - alongside Jesus, Vishnu and Buddha - who was snorting coc aine - but we don't hear a peep from any other religions. So were 'anon' right or justified in their actions? IMO, with the threat received, absolutely.

They haven't threatened anybody, they have simply mocked an icon yet for the entire episode Muhammad was covered with a huge black box with the word 'censored' over him so what exactly are (extremist) Muslims so upset about? I could understand Buddhists being angry at the coke sniffing depiction of their prophet, but of course they are renowned pacifists, and clearly can take a joke as it is intended.

Plus what's really the harm in offending someone... anyone? nothing happens when you're offended other than you are momentarily, well... offended. Sticks and stones my dear extremists, please grow up and get out of the playground mentality.

Finally, in Islam, as with all of the Abrahimic religions (yes, I know it's hard to believe you all hate each other so much since you all pray to ostensibly the same God), worshiping of a false idol is strictly prohibited. Muhammad is the most popular boy's name in many Islamic, and increasingly western countries. The name Muhammad, in it's various spellings, means 'praised'. With this in mind, and I appreciate this may be clutching at straws, why would they continue to allow the use of this holy name if they are to get so hot under the collar whenever it's mentioned on T.V.?

I was trying to think why this is making me smile so much.

I think it's because we have been taking extemists very seriously for a long time now....ever since they killed thousands of us and used airliners filled with innocent Americans as missiles.

I like to believe we have reached a stage in our grieving and anger where we can finally offer extremists the response they deserve...not war or rage...not fear or pandering....but laughter....a little old fashioned American ireverance and slight shrug of the shoulders...comedy....and if you tell us it is out-of-bounds you sure as hell know we are going to go there...Its what makes Mom jokes between friends so much fun...Nothing is sacred...it's how we roll here in the USA.

i didnt actually say you had to respect peoples religions i said and i quote "whatever you think about a religion is irrelevant,its about what others believe and you must respect that whatever your own opinions." you must respect other peoples views.It goes hand in hand with respecting people.

Either way, I provided a statement shown above from the site owner of Revolution Muslim, where he stated that his site had in fact been redirected.
