exactly. My point being is that profiling happens. All you people flip out when someone doesnt use "political correctness" when they state this wasnt racism as the title of this post implies.

Needing a birth certificate is wrong IMO. But having a SS# should be enough. Racism is way too strong a word. Demographic is much more appropriate I believe. So if you are mexican, present a green card, or SS card. If not, meet the INS. Got no problem with it. And what kind of Canadian sneaks into America?

I can go down to the local swap meet and get one of those.

BUT...

If you have a drivers liscense and a social security card together, that is more than enough proof of I.D. ESPECIALLY IF he has his SSN on his DL that matches.
If not it shouldnt matter anyways as long as he had both. At least enough to prove to a cop.

SS# would have to be enough. Not everyone is going to have a drivers license. The only other option is the :shudder: national ID card. I would be happy enough personally with green card/ss card. There are always flaws in the system and you can fake a SS card just as easily as a birth certificate.

The more simple plan is to come down on people hiring illegals than searching for illegals but for some reason we are too stupid to take the easy route.

Well I think this country DOES need to crack down on Illegal Immigration,
But to do so with respect to the people of this nation and also to those who are not. Profiling is not the way to crack down on illegal immigration, there are other ways.

I profile people constantly by their cars to see if I can guess what area in the city they live in. 90% of the time I hit the nail on the head. Its highly affective because we move around like sheeple. I look at a black guy with FUBU on and he is a thug in my mind. White guy with a tank top on, well thats white trash. Asian guy, smart and can't drive. 10 Mexicans in one minivan, well they are illegal. It is too simple to not be affective. We (and by we I mean you) should consider getting thicker skin.

Been trying to figure that out since the Bush administration. I really think it is the small yard businesses and construction is hiring the majority of these people. Maybe they actually think nothing will get done if we boot them out or something.
