The only friends I ever talk to about this sort of stuff (information, personal experiences.. etc) are my closest ones. Neither of them believe in what I tell them, but they still listen to me because they know I need people to talk about it with. In the past when I've asked them why don't they believe in it, after trying to hide it, they eventually admitted that it scares them.

If you want to talk to people about it, than choose the people who will stay by your side and accept you for who you are.

I tell them nothing......None of my buddies know anything of my encounters. e.g Mid 90's Late august in middle England it began to get dark at 4.30 in the afternoon.......this, if you don't know, is odd as the sun goes down at around 8pm to 9pm that time of year usually. I approached my wife and asked her if it seemed odd about it being dark.....she proceeded to show me her diary and showed that it was dark this time last year as written in black and white...... Around the same time I had a weird thing happen one night, I was sat up in bed and saw a little alien walking around the bottom of my bed, it spotted me sitting up and ran back round to the side of me. Next I knew it was morning..Ok now 2010 I got divorced in 2002, I decided to investigate the hours of sunlight in mid England for the years mentioned above it was 6am to 8pm Officially checked and verified. It was not!!!
I remember the argument I had with my ex-wife on the issue and the fact it was dark in august at 4.30pm. What sparked my interest was the cancellation of the government ufo hotline. It was going to be a thread but I haven't got round to it.
So you see why I don't tell my buddies...infact I think my old town is under some kind of mass hypnossis....point of telling someone living there ...none what so ever..
Needless to say I moved! way out of town to the coast.

p.s I'm saving actual dates and links for my thread when i make it.

Definitely makes you think about disclosure and who could, or could not handle it.

I keep it to myself. All thoughts and discussions are reserved for those close to me who are aware of how I feel. I cannot get into arguments about it anymore. It's pointless. I don't have proof, and I am not an abductee so it's a matter of faith for me. Yes I look at evodence and such, but it's faith. Faith in an alien race that secretly comes here in collusion with Gov.

To me, that ETH is extremely likely. Others just don't see it that way.

I find that trying to convince people is usually a waste of breath. I'm pretty much at the point that I don't bring it up in conversation any more. If someone else does, I will join in and explain why I find the evidence compelling and point them toward some relevant information if they want it, but that's about it.

I have been very fortunate, most people I talk to about this are fairly open minded. I find that those that try labeling me as "smoking some unknown substance" are deeply rooted in the material world. Heck their highlight is maybe a good sitcom followed by a great bowel movement. I avoid the subject altogether with these folks. Others just tell me they believe it is possible, but leave it at that. I have some deep conversations with a friend who thinks like I do, as well as my dad who watched a flying saucer pre 1950 in Pa

To put my view in simple terms.....I wouldn't tell my friends but I would tell you people on ATS. Its like friends but at a safe distance and can be thoroughly discussed in detail both rationally and irrationally. With your close friend you will find they say e.g "did you really? amazing"!....then when your out of ear shot ...."He's a bit weird" kinda two faced. Thus the saying pick your friends wisely.

I think being an empath can potentially lead you to the path, just the ability to absorb feelings, adapt and over time learn to view things from every perspective opens up a lot of possibilities and knowledge which leads to wisdom. The more viewpoints the fuller the picture becomes.
I also think that hardships and pain is a catalysis for learning, every time I've had a long hard depression I see it as symbolically dying.. and when it's over I rise from the ashes as a Phoenix with a slightly updated perspective/persona.
Just some thoughts I've had for a long time..

Yeah well.. we're totally on the same page.

One of the things that makes doubt resonate inside of me is the fact that those adults in the past generations haven't even had the DESIRE to search for these truths. When I say doubt, I'm not talking about doubting the conspiracy, it's more like a lack of hope for the other humans around me.

Then again nowadays more then ever people (of all ages) are having this urge to figure this stuff out. I know ever since I was a young kid I've always wanted to know about Aliens and the future of mankind. It's very possible like you said that our higher souls picked this time frame to incarnate in for the sole purpose of aiding others during these tough times. I for one am pretty thankful to be alive right now - what an exciting time! Never has mankind been through events like these. I thank my higher self for placing myself here. (that sounded weird)

How do i deal personally? I dont. I am more then willing to discuss my views on the subject with anyone, but i treat it like religon. no one wants to have someone elses views crammed down there throat, thats just inconsiderate. It no different then trying to 'convert' someone because they have different views then you.

My friends and family were always very supportive of my love of the paranormal (my biggest love of course is the UFO/Alien agenda). Not all of them believe of course but they are all willing to discuss it in a very polite and open minded manner. im not forcing my views on them and they arent forcing theres on me., its just an exchanging of ideas.

I am more then willing to 'educate' someone whose interested in learning about the subject, but i let them make there own decisions on what they feel is the root cause behind it (whether it be aliens, angels, gods, demons, hallucinations, etc).

My sister was possibly abducted by aliens (myself and other members of my family as well) and shes ok with that. She asks me questions and i answer her as honestly as i can from my extensive research into the subject ( i own upwards of 40 books on the UFO/Alien phenomona). I dont tell her she was or wasnt, i just give her teh facts of what i know and let her decide.

Yeah but let's be real here. People deserve the truth about their views even if it hurts their feelings. Even if it's inconsiderate sometimes it has to be done. Some views are more correct than others. If someone is Catholic and is living under a rock about the Catholic Church's crimes, you gotta tell them that they're putting their faith into a corrupt mess. They deserve to know the truth even if it hurts their feelings.

While that is said, I do fully understand where you're coming from and the only reason why I'm in favor of such radical 'cramming' as you put it, is because of the particularly hectic situation we're in. I feel like there's not enough time left to just sit back and let people be ignorant. We're all in this together now.

heres the way i see it...people are born into the belief systems in which they believe in...few of them actually go outside of their own religion to see the corruption in the world and this causes more corruption and war itself.
Like me i was a die hard christian until i had a certain ufo experience and for some reason this changed my thinking completely and the way i viewed the world.
i still think the bible has many things that can be learned from and so do all religions but they're taught the wrong way because misinterpretation due to many things.
One thing my ufo experience gave me was the ability to connect the dots in everything we see in this world that includes, religion, cultures, the cycles of life, astronomy, micro to macro. once you see how everything is related you begin to see through the manipulation and deceit that has had humanity drunk from seeing the true God of creation...so once you see we are all one in a way, you can see that creation and life(includes death) is Gods nature in this universe. Im not pushing this...its just the way i see it.
Its like were in a dark room and were tryin to find are way until the light is turned on and when the light is turned on we will actually be able to see the nature of God that has been sealed away from us for ages...then we will have Gods seal.

LAUGHINGgod and Drac its crazy how people with this point of view of seeing the bigger picture dont disagree at all on anything that purtains to life itself...amazing because its such a broad and diverse subject but i totally agree with both of you...like a family without the fights and arguments lol. i to have sought the meaning of life and God since the first time i heard about God..its like we were programmed to search for the truth or something...another thing is i find people who see these things tend to not fear death but that could be just me??

to TRUTH...once you see the similiarities and connections in religion and all the things i mention above then you will see the oneness in everything and eventually i believe everyone will have an oppurtunity to see this. so really theres no reason for cramming because no one can deny the connections in everything.

no i definitely understand your reasoning as well. I agree some people are blissfully ignorant, but is it really my place to try and waken them?
If you had the choice of being stupid and happy or smart and miserable which would you choose? and how would you know your chose is the right one? You dont.

I feel no dire need to 'educate' the populace on some impending doom when in fact there is probably no impending doom forthcomming. UFOs/Aliens have been around since the beginning of time and i dont see them going anywhere , nor do i see them 'taking over the world' anytime soon. I could be wrong but ive seen no evidence to the contrary.

Aliens will remain shrouded in mystery for some time to come, and people will still believe in invisible entities for protection, such as God, that is not a rip on whatever god, gods, religon or lack there-of someone may believe in. Its a simple statement God is invisible...does he exhist? thats an entirely different topic, for another day and we wont go there.

Do I believe in the Alien agenda? Yes. Do i think Aliens are dangerous and have some hidden reason for being there clandesthine operations? Yes. Can i prove it: No. Can anyone irrevocably prove Aliens exhist: No. Its almost like being a stalemate in chess or checkers. Neither side can win.

I think there is a strong element of fear in those who say they do not believe! I would also say that society has done a pretty good job of making people accept it as fantasy, such as 'little green men from mars' ET, and so on.

The fact that we make it out to be humorous and child-like, makes adults feel like it is unacceptable to believe in such things.

And as previously mentioned, surely an understanding of the possible size of the universe is enough to make you think that there could be something else out there?

100,000,000,000,000+ stars in the Milky Way

100,000,000,000,000+ galaxies in the Universe

100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000+ stars in the Universe

and to think there is only one 'Earth' around 1 star?

Hmmmm!!!

As is the motto for AboveTopSecret, 'Deny Ignorance'. For those who won't give you the time of day and listen to what you're trying to say, they'll never truly think outside the box and have an open mind. What you need to do is find a group of like-minded people to converse with, discuss extraterrestrials and other strange anomalies.

It's better to fit in with the outsiders than try to fit in with the normal people but feel like an outsider.

why not?

if you believe they exist, do you believe they're necessarily all 'kind lovely beings'? why? humans arent? just because you have technology doesn't mean you're a 'being of light'

sure aliens could be doing some bad stuff, we do bad stuff, so it follows...doesnt it...

well i know im right. the truth is the truth. if other people don't believe it for whatever reason, thats their call. i dont push the issue, but i defend my right to believe or express my beliefs. some stuff i dont tell people if i think it will scare them; or will be too much for them to deal with; or if i think they dont really want to know.

if someone wants to know, they'll look into it. if you give them some hints, they'll get curious and find out themselves. if you give people hints and they dont want to know then its best not to push it i think . people go at whatever pace is comfortable for them to deal with.
some may not be comfortable dealing with the subject. ridicule and sarcasm are just ways of dealing wiht a scary subject.

most people are scared or nervous.

People naturally have a fear of the unknown, that is just human nature. We fear the dark, the woods, ghosts, aliens, telepathy, hell even gay marriage (if your a republican of course, JK).

It is sad but it can be extremely difficult to confront these fears. I believe far more people believe in and/or have had close encounters but are too afraid to confront them. Its not just the fear but how does one confront such a thing? Very few people know what to do, where to go or who to contact, and unless you live in a big city finding support can be difficult. Not every town has hypnotherapist or alien abductions support group. Also you have to contend with possible critisism and ridicule and some people just dont want that.

I myself have been ridiculed by colleagues for my beliefs in such things. I shrug it off, it doesnt bother me because everyone is entitled to there opinion. I take solace in knowing im right and even if im not at least im open minded enough to consider the possibilites.
