Whatever happened to respect? He's our President. Fox is a news agency. How do they get away with calling themselves fair and balanced?

I know this site is staggering overwhelmingly to the right, but come on people... really?

"To illustrate just how desperate Fox News has gotten, they were hoping for an air disaster so that they could justify not showing President Obama’s remarks on health care. A story that an airplane possibly had flap issues or a bad indicator light was enough for Fox to use to justify cutting away from Obama. What is even worse is that the network stayed with the airplane even after it was clear that there was no breaking news happening there. At least the last time the network cut away from Obama, they actually had another press conference to cut to, this time they were grasping at straws.

If Fox News does not want to show Obama, then don’t. They should pretend like the president doesn’t exist. Of course, this would remove any claim of journalistic objectivity that the network claims to have, but everyone already knows that Fox News is not objective, so it should be no big deal. There is no need to play these silly games, where they have producers scouring the incoming video, so that they have something to use to cut away from Obama for. " (from gopclownshow.com...)

I'm just venting, and I wanted to share this with you guys. It's not really a conspiracy, I know, but it boils my blood nevertheless. Health Care passed, democratically. Republicans had 8 years to fix health care, and chose war instead. No need to get butt-hurt over it now.

Ok. I did. Thanks for your input.

Do you have anything else you care to suggest?

I know! Maybe make my own 'news' outlet and report the things that further MY political beliefs?

...not a multi-millionaire.

Guess i'll just continue to surf the internet and post my opinion to random forums then.

The news wasn't made up as stated in the OP. They were actual events. Big Diff. There are countless other channels to watch for your news viewing pleasures. News is News and I personally have seen a little too much Obama on the boob tube for his first term. I am surprised that he doesn't have a live web cam in the Oval Office.

Gotta love the Media Matters Marching Orders....

This doesn't surprise me at all.

They need to change their name to RNN.... Republican News Network.

I respect your opinion (less and less everyday however) but I do not think that plane landing was news, much less breaking news. If you wanted to watch a plane land, go to your local airport or youtube.

I mean, it was literally a perfect landing.

" Do you have anything else you care to suggest? "

Now that you mention it , yes . Try changing the Channel to CNN or MSNBC , I am sure they have all the " Coverage " that you seem to be lacking........

I think Mr. Bush is more respectful than George.

Which is alot more respect than I would give the man.

Yeah....and you missed the point I was making. Let's try it this way....the statement was made to respect the Presidency.....Clinton was being a democrat by trying to downplay his opposition's importance, thus refusing to call Mr. Bush, Mr. President. You do not call a doctor by his first name nor do you call him Mr. WHEW. Read before posting.reply to post by MIMRblazin

Take it easy, man. No need to get all worked up because of our different beliefs

And yes, CNN and MSNBC did cover the President's speech, without making up breaking news of a plane landing.

I like politics, I keep up with it. I watch all the news outlets, and a daily list of websites I visit, and i'll admit they are all lacking in journalistic integrity. Fox news is the worst, and i'm saying that as a completely middle of the line kind of guy. I'm right on some issues, left on others, and I realize not all conservatives are evil, and not all liberals are evil. The world is not a black and white place, there's plenty of gray areas.

Just to demonstrate it further... you said in your opening that "Whatever happened to respect? He's our President." Then you follow up that statement with calling him Mr. is better than just George. If that constitutes respect, then Obama should be called Hussein.reply to post by MIMRblazin

What? Don't hurt my feelings

To be honest this is the first time I have ever seen one of your posts or threads. Make it easy on yourself and just add me to your ignore list.

If Fox wants to cut away from the Obama grind they can certainly do that. Is it illegal to cut away from yet another Obama photo op.

It's the producers call up in the booth....

That does not justify it. Presidents CHOOSE when to keep updated with the country. How is this possibly a bad thing? I think a President should come on tv once every couple weeks to let us know what's up, YOU CERTAINLY CAN'T TRUST THE NEWS TO DO SO WITH ACCURACY.

I would've LOVED to hear something out of Bush every now and then. I just don't understand that argument. To steal someone's statement against me above, "If you don't like it (seeing the president talk to the people) then turn the channel."

I wouldn't really know how Good or Bad MSM in the U.S. is nowadays , i don't Watch any of them . If i am interested in hearing about News , i go to International News Networks for it . I find they are a little less guilty of Slanting things .
