What I find so offensive is that in the OP you lumped all of us that are against the health care bill as conservatives.

You made yourself very clear. What reaction did you think you would get? You are saying that just because we disagree we are stupid. Or do you not stand by your own words? You can not have it both ways.

I think it's obvious that the majority of people who have a problem with the health care bill are expressing a conservative viewpoint. That's right, the viewpoint that says "I don't want to pay more taxes" and "the government should stay out of private enterprise" are notoriously right wing points of view. Call it what you want, but for the sake simplicity you can just call them conservatives, or republicans.

Where is all this majority this.. majority that BS coming from? THAT is what is wrong with this country.. people don't even know what it stands for..

Your post like your previous one made NO SENSE. I'll try to help you out anyways. Majority vote: the option that receives the most representative votes wins (as in a Democracy... look it up). While I don't necessarily believe a 2 party system is a true democracy, it's slightly better then rule by decree. Try thinking more and posting less.

ummm...

You are not in the majority and saying you are is actually a lie and wont change how your public officials have democratically voted for this legislation.

Did I need to be more clear? Majority rule means NOTHING. Rule of law means EVERYTHING.

Do you really think you live in a "Democracy"? Thanks for validating my point..

For that I do apologize. It was the conservative uproar that I read prior to authoring this thread that had me up in arms. I did not mean to imply that all who oppose this bill are conservatives, but it seems quite clear that all who are conservatives are opposed to this bill, but they are not the only ones. Hell, I'm not crazy about the damn thing myself. My point is that there are far more dangerous and pressing legislative needs before us, but the puppet masters in DC have got us arguing about minucia such as this, while completely ignoring the things that will bring us down economically if we do nothing.... So that we do nothing...

You couldn't be farther from the truth. I don't want to be forced into paying for something against me will. That is unconstitutional. I don't want to fear going to jail because I refuse to pay for something I will never use. I do not subscribe to traditional medicine. I use holistic methods only. In the rare case that I was to brake a bone of something I would make payments just like I currently do to the dentist. I want a choice on weather I have health insurance or not.
Sure not having health insurance can be an inconvenience, just like not having a car but at least with a car you aren't FORCED to have one.

I can respect that. If you had started out your OP with that instead this thread may have been more productive.

Thank you!!!! You are very stubborn. I have respect for you now. Only a honorable person would admit this at this level in an argument. And I respect that alot. Boy it is hard to argue with you I must admit I have a little bit of a headache from it.

Perhaps, but it has been my experience that such threads die quickly without any debate or exchange of ideas... At least that is being accomplished here, even if it starts out as a rant...

Ok. you win that that one to a point, but it still could have been done a little more tactfully, and a lot of the post are more about people up in arms about your wording than the context of the OP.

It's quite simple. Obama ignored the wishes of the majority of the American people and decided to pass this ridiculous bill anyways. It's not about the democrats or the republicans actually, its about the people.

It's a shame your thread is riddled with grammatical errors and you are the one calling people stupid. I love the smell of hypocrisy in the morning.

He did do this for the people. Not for big bankers or rise gas prices like bush did for him and his buddy's. He was actually thinking about the people. I have ALLOT of respect for our president.

He is a president for the people.

No offence but could that not also be considered trolling? I am not trying to pick a fight just point this out for future reference.

It could have, but like I said, I was pissed off when I wrote the OP. Sometimes you just are guilty of a PWA (Posting While Angry)... This is one of those times...

At least it wasn't as bad as some of the threads in the 9/11 forum! Now those get UGLY!!!

Like I said in the other post Hmmm. I have to wonder about someone just joining today of all days and signing the praises of the current administration. Maybe I am just paranoid but I kinda got a bad feeling about your whole story no offence. Something just does not seem right call it a gut feeling only time will tell. I actually hope these are your true feelings whether I agree with them or not.
