Well at least you found a good way to rack up stars and flags. So far there are 15 people on ATS who agree that anyone who dis-agrees with the healthcare bill are "stupid" (thanks!, ass!), and the WORST part is they are prolly all democrats who think these are ALL republicans. Pathetic!

Bush, Obama, McCain, Clinton... they are all the same. America died the day the CIA and Bush Sr took out JFK.

The are all liars, cheats and thieves.

Nobody with the kahunas to do anything about it.

I only bring in General George because the conservatives seem to be claiming some non-existant moral high ground. I find the entire system corrupted beyond belief, both sides! I think that every politician in DC should be run out of town, and quite a few of them should be arrested and charged with treason (on both sides of the aisle). Obama, Bush, Clinton... etc. etc. etc. All the same in the end, no matter which 'Party' they claimed to be from... Just a dog and pony show for the ignorant masses...

I'm sorry if any of you took the title, or the OP itself personally, but I was pissed, and I'm sick and tired of the partisan bickering here on ATS. If anything, this should be the one place that that doesn't happen. It's hypocracy to be suspicious of your Government, but then loyal to your political party... The latter forms the former...

Thanks for your help and sure ... lot still to be clarified

Hopefully though, you'll all come out of it by keeping more of your earnings while having less stress and worry to contend with when the unforeseen occurs and your or yours has to make an emergency dash to hospital

Still can't believe Americans have been saddled with such high health costs for so long

We employed a young Chinese girl a few years ago. She was dismissive of so many of what she considered to be 'old people' still in the workforce in our country. She expressed disgust, lol .. actually wrinkled her nose

So we asked her about China and were astonished to learn from her that the majority of Chinese live all their lives in houses owned by their government. For example, she and her parents lived in a house passed down by her grandparents, who in turn had had it passed down from theirs

She said all repairs to the house were paid by the government

At that point, I explained to her that the reason so many 'old people' in our country were still in the workforce was because no-one gives us a house that we can pass down to our kids. We have to pay for our homes ourselves and thanks to interest-rates, we end up paying as much as three times the original purchase price of that house, plus we have to pay approx. $25,000 to the government in Stamp Duty every time we purchase an average family home (and most people move a few times during their lives). On top of that, we pay Council Rates yearly and we pay for all the upkeep and maintenance

I thanked her though for opening my eyes about China. I'd had no idea their government provided homes for them. A home is said to be the largest single purchase most people make in their entire lives, and here were these 'poor Communists' getting a far better deal from their governments that we in the West get from ours

When she left, I told her to tell as many of her countrymen as she could about the 'rich West', where people work all their lives in order to pass on to their children what Chinese receive for free

Both she and I learned something that day

No, I only call people stupid and idiots when they get so caught up in the dog and pony show that they completely miss the real dangers that lurk in front of their eyes, but that they seem blind to out of partisan loyalty... Stupid is as stupid does...

Now if you can show me how this bill will bring the economy down on it's knees like variable rate mortgages, the housing crash and the Bank Bailouts did, then maybe I'll find it easier to get more upset about it. Show me how it's going to drive up unemployment, drive down the stock market, cause you to go 'underwater' on your mortgage, wipe out half of your 401K, etc. etc. etc.

So yeah, it's stupid to get all worked up over this, while not giving a damn about making it impossible for Big Business to screw us and our Economy again... And being stupid tends to brand one an Idiot...

Personally, I let the mods decide whether your title and op violates the TC of this site.

It doesn't bother me. My only point is that bringing up Bush makes no sense.

If anything, I see people holding government more accountable because of the Bush years.

Furthermore, they are holding Obama more accountable for the promises he made.

Remember, Obama knew exactly what he was facing when he chose to run for office. He is the one that said he had the best plans for America.

IMO, Bringing up Bush or things that happened during Bush year merely covers up the point you are trying to make.

At Least you could have said something original. A weasel is someone who when confronted turns and sides with the opposing force. This what you did instead of just holding your ground. Do you know what a paper as* is ?

Perhaps you are right, but most of the opinions that I read before writing this thread where VERY partisan in nature. This is hypocritical from either side, since both are guilty of poor judgement. Add to that the fact that the real problems facing us and our economy are not even being addressed, and sorry, but it really pushed my buttons...

Now I will say that for those who opposed Obama in the 2008 election, at least they were consistant. Meanwhile, those who voted for the man, and are pissed that this is happening, that's hypocritical. He said point blank that this was going to be a priority for his Administration. Not that it's right, but he did broadcast this loud and clear...

I guess my point is that no one seems to want to fix what's wrong with this country, they just want to fight about it and point fingers at the other guy, and that to me is just stupid...

Do you have a split personality? Or are you having an out of body experience? You say you hate partisan bickering and then call the other side stupid. Are you for real. I would have had more respect for you if you had just held your ground. I guess it goes to show just how weak of mind the other side really is.

I never sided with the 'opposing force', and the only as* here is...

I have stated time and again here on ATS that I am sick to death of the two party system, and the whole sham of Government. We don't live in a democracy, we live in a Corporatocracy. Anyone who knows me here knows this is how I feel, and I have never stated otherwise.

No-one wants to fix it?? Let me ask you, what are YOU doing to fix it? I didn't vote for the man because I know it doesn't make a difference. both parties are screwed.

So you're pissed off because no-one on ATS did anything and we are all stupid?? What the hell do you think WE can do anyway? Now you're just looking REAL bad. It's one thing to be angry, it's another to be completely irrational.

The Govt is going to do what they are going to do regardless of if you think VOTING actually matters.

I don't agree with you, but I can completely see why you are frustrated and wanted to vent.

I don't begrudge you that venting, and I think it would take a really whiny child to get upset over a frustrated expression of opinion on ATS, considering none of it is required reading.

Maybe you are just reading what you want to hear, but I called anyone, regardless of political affiliation, who is all worked up over this bill, while not giving a damn about tackling the REAL problems facing us stupid. Not just one side, or the other, but every damn partisan idiot here!

Then other than an armed revolution, what is the solution?? I'm serious, because the state of this country is just sad! And it only gets sadder as time goes on... I fear the country that my grandsons will inherit.

OK, I will state right up front that this has just got me steamed up! I log on tonight to find both my facebook page and naturally, ATS just brimming with the "OH NOEZ, WE'RE DOOMED" partisan panic crowd screaming the sky is falling because those evil bastard Democrats passed a Healthcare Reform Bill. How dare they spend our tax dollars!! OK, I have just one question for you 'Conservatives'...

WHY WEREN'T YOU THIS UPSET WHEN BUSH AND CHENEY WERE GOING THROUGH OUR MONEY LIKE DRUNKEN SAILORS ON SHORE LEAVE???

Where was your anger when Bush gave a huge tax cut to his rich buddies and created the damn deficit that being added to now??? At least that adulterous worm Clinton left a SURPLUS when he left office! Or is it OK if they waste our tax money as long as they have a frakkiin' (R) after their names????

Here's another question for all of you GENIUSES out there: Remember those really EVIL variable rate mortgages that were given out to people who couldn't afford to pay them once the rate 'varied'??? You know, the financial instruments that caused the housing market to collapse, put MILLIONS of Americans out of work, and had the Wall Street Banksters getting bailed out by us taxpayers??? Why are those frakkin' things still legal??? Why hasn't ANYONE from EITHER side of the aisle proposed legislation to make those wretched things ILLEGAL???

NO!!!

I'll tell you why, because ALL politicians, whether they have a (D) or an (R) after there names work for the same people, THE SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS!!!

So go ahead and whine and moan about the damn Healthcare Reform Bill... You have EXACTLY the kind of Government you DESERVE!!!

IDIOTS!

Hmm do you point the finger at conservatives? Is this partisan? You are seriously not in reality are you. Maybe you need to re-read your post.

You are such a weasel you hate bickering on ATS.
And then you post a thread like this you are a TROLL. Your hypocrisy is on the verge of crazy and delusional. Did you forget to take the morning meds or what?

Let's see, personal insults, not adding anything to the thread and an attempt at derailing the thread. I think this fits the actual definition of trolling. I agree with the OP it's is quite maddening to hear the right wingers claim they are in the majority in not wanting the health-care bill to pass. You are not in the majority and saying you are is actually a lie and wont change how your public officials have democratically voted for this legislation.
