Grisly mystery after scores of starlings fall out of the sky and lie dying... in a SINGLE front gard

Since Starlings are communal animals as it were the odds are they got into something toxic together and so it killed them all around the same time...note that not all were dead when they fell but were suffering.

I'm pretty convinced that the birds flew into a radar, microwave, and/or xray array tower nearby, which fried their navigational senses and disoriented their horizon, so that the lead birds took a dive, with the rest of the flock following, and went head first into the ground.

That would explain why they were in such a tight group, as well as why their beaks and wings were shattered.

These types of arrays are all around us, folks just dont know they're there most of the time.

One popular use for such sites are radio/microwave towers, television exciters, cell phone towers, GPS locator beacons (for airplanes), radio station transmitters, and the usual radar / radiological dish network - such as are in airports and coastal monitoring locations. Sometimes, if there's an electrical substation grid nearby, a dirty spike in the voltage can send out magnetically charged radio waves that have been known to cause cancers as well.

Birds are an ideal source of detection for the presence of radiological source(s) and isotopes. Perhaps they found a source of possible terrorist's weapon? I don't know but it seems strange for sure.

Heres some questions for the event, you can find out by doing some study of the event.

1. Any military bases near the "event"?
2. Any T-storms happening during the "event"?
3. Anyt crop dusters spraying near the "event"?
4. Did SOHO say there was any heavy sunspot, solar storm, CME activity during the time of the "Event"?
5. Did any other animals like dogs or cats start acting overly strange during the "event"?
6. Was there any tremblors, i.e. ground quakes, sonic booms during the "event"?

If you mark out all of the above then it just comes down to being one of those strange things which happens from time to time. Like the time it rained fish, on a house which was hundreds of miles from any water mass.

That's EXACTLY what I'm thinking happened.

Group of starlings lands at a puddle of water filled with some nasty industrial waste/toxin. They all drink their fill.

Birds fly back to this ladies garden to roost for a while, get sick within a few minutes and start falling off her little bushes/trees.

Chances are there are more of these dead birds lying around where humans wouldn't usually notice (in the woods).

I wouldn't bother thinking about radar/magnets and what have ya because, contrary to what the core would have us believe, birds have eyes, they don't just fly around crazyily. If your sat nav broke, would you swerve around alleys crashing into things because you didn't know the way to cheshire?

I'm new to ATS however I've been following the site for years, I would like to think this is something that could easily be explained but I doubt that, my theory on this "mystery" begins with the movie The Happening and the plot line that follows, this is something that has in more ways than one been proven however never to a degree such as in the movie, however what if its true.

Starlings are one of the most social birds and are truly amazing creatures. They often flock together in amazing ways, it is almost unreal...

While I was in the ARMY, we had a particular surveillance RADAR/SINGAR that would drop birds out of the air. It is possible someone has one of these, or similar type of variable freq. type RADAR.

You are correct about that. My I had a few friends that where in the Airforce and they worked on the F-111's and the B-52's. The rear gun emplacement at the time was radar guided onto the plane that would be chasing the bomber. Any way if you want to get somebodies attention point a radar emitter at the person or vehicle they are in and instantly they will know that they have been painted. They could physically feel the radar on their bodies once they got painted by the radar from the craft. So you could almost imagine what this could do to a small bird or birds.

Seeing as there is a main road nearby in the first photo (Presuming the Starlings hadn't been moved there from a previous place.), maybe the Starlings hit a passing truck or something whilst flying around.
Maybe that would explain the blood around their beaks too.

Wow, what a thread! Maybe they were killed by all that cattyness earlier!

They could have been chased by a bird of prey, or taken to a higher than usual altitude and suffocated by a thermal system or updraft, or all been perched on a pylon by the house and been electrocuted by a proximity current running through them on mass (it happens!), or as quite rightly said been poisoned ny noxious fumes, as the amounts needed to kill a teeny bird wouldn't have been even slightly harmless to a human.

Cloaked craft, military projects? 'Well done soldier, a weapon that can kill a few dozen birds, that'll show 'em!'

I think we can eliminate a few of the impossible here and look to what solutions remain.

I would say the birds may of all had a heart attack. Something scared them and their hearts failed. Most birds cannot handle much stress, so thats the reason im thinking.

Other than that I would suspect they flew into something they didnt see. I cant count how many times they fly into my windows.

This story was also on the BBC news website, they said the most likely explanation was that the birds where taking evasive action to avoid a predator and flew into the ground at speeds without realising.

i'v heard stories that some country or secret society created a machine that can change weather and other natural things(like the multiple floods and earthquakes occuring these days).

birds react to weather very weird due to their instincts.
