Fourth Way philosophy aims to strip man of his mechanical behavior and hypnotic programming in order to build within him a core of heightened consciousness. It is an esoteric system assembled from incomplete fragments of inner Christianity and Sufism. It’s founder, Georges Gurdjieff, frequently admonished the thoughtless mechanical behavior of humanity and was fond of saying that we are “food for the moon.”
This is one of the more troubling and less explained concepts of the 4th Way. In the 4th Way cosmology, creation proceeds outward and downward from a central point, called Sun Absolute. Creation passes through multiple levels, known as cosmoi or worlds and finally reaches the level corresponding to Earth. Due to special cosmic circumstance , organic life on Earth is necessary for receiving this energy of creation and transforming this into a form that is passed further along, to 'feed' the 'moon,' which is said to be growing. All this is seen as a natural process where organic Earth life, including man, performs a function in a cosmic organism, a little like bacteria perform a function in the human digestive system. The fact of mankind collectively being required to produce certain 'vibrations' or 'energies' for serving various cosmic purposes is stressed throughout Gurdjieff's Beelzebub's Tales. So called planetary influences cause mankind to fight wars and endure cataclysms so that a certain quota of energy release be fulfilled and the 'moon fed.'
Humanity as food for higher creatures? Meaning Isaac Newton's, "I stand on the shoulders of giants" or Gurdjieff's (cosmological) assertation that human life on earth is simpy food for the moon?
"Everything living on the Earth -- people, animals, plants -- is food for the moon. All manifestations of organic life on Earth are controlled by the moon. The mechanical part of our life depends upon the moon, is subject to the moon. If we develop in ourselves consciousness and will, and subject our mechanical manifestations to them, we shall escape from the power of the moon."
And suppose (as Mr. G. did) that the moon was selfish (in a Neo-Darwinist sense) about maintaining its source of supper? What then?
"The forces that are in opposition to the evolution of large human masses are also opposite to the evolution of every man (....). Actually, the moon feeds itself with organic life, feeds itself with mankind (...) that means that mankind is food for the moon. If all men would become too intelligent, they would not like to be eaten by the moon."

Just curious about those who say David Icke is full of it. The only thing I would say is "Prove he's wrong." You demand evidence be provided by him to support his point of view, so then you must also provide evidence that he's wrong.

Honestly, I dont think we really know whats up there, Icke is merely giving his opinion and its very very good reading.

The problem with people like Icke and crew is that there is a need to constantly up the ante... from one book to another. Otherwise they become old hat very quickly and people won't read their books

I am one of the people themuse kindly sent the Icke DVD to. I watched it with an open mind. I enjoyed some of it.. especially the parts on symbology and the ruling classes. I think Icke isn't too far from the mark there.
However, me and Icke part ways when it comes the Reptilian Agenda issues. IMHO his new Moon conspiracy stuff isn't for me and to be honest, it takes something away from his personal empowerment messages.

Huh! Small world! - The atmosphere was very special, and my 2 other friends that saw him thought exactly the same thing. Perhaps we were put under a spell - because I don't know about you, but I came out of that seminar wanting to find out more of the unknown.
His 'schism theory' made a hell of a lot of sense, and every now and then I find myself around people experiencing their own schisms - and not understanding why - which is interesting to watch, but must be uncomfortable for the unaware person.
The Moon matrix theory is right out there - but (once again) ALL the information on ATS alone - some find it hard to understand what is going on, and will fight, fight, fight it - they don't want to know, and turn people that do into 'the bad guy' - which seems reminiscent of burning witches at the stake
Do i think this is real? I don't know! Do I think it is possible? Hell yeah I do. Do I care others want to be able to discuss this possibility without a public execution - ABSOLUTELY. Do I care about the negative hostilities? No, but I am human - and do feel.
Icke most of his life has been ridiculed - and he constantly reminds us all, that the hardest part is to accept the criticism and move on. He also thanks his detractors for they have helped him get better, by bringing more and more TRUTHS to the forefront of our existences.
What will he reveal - and how did he get his information - that's going to be what we want to know - and when we do, if it holds merit, or not - that is the time to pass judgment on the information, rather than blindly passing judgment on information, yet to be delivered .
David has not yet revealed how he came to this conclusion...
If anything this thread is an example of many - on the negative, that say this is false - without hearing the whole information presented. Lets hope these ones never get to sit on a jury!
